  • this guy is one serious cunt

  • quide dog's allround

  • how do you manage to keep your arm steady ?

  • Thanks for sharing fun things. Please see my epic 1st videos and donate to good cause if you feel bold and brave enough.

    blesses

    Arek

  • I recently bought the Air Arms S200, brilliant PCP rifle. Do you ever shoot shotguns or small/full bore rifles?

  • great vid as usual will you be doing any comparison tests ie rapid vs air ranger ? keep up the good work

  • @MegaJackpot180 Will bear that in mind. In case you're not aware, there's a new film on AirgunTV putting the Air Ranger up against the Wolf.

  • What scope have you got on the HW97 ?

  • I have this exact gun in .22 and it's extremely accurate!

  • raining on a beautiful summersday???

  • dont try it at home !! but you have someone forward of the shooter letting go of the balloons?

  • would this be powerful enough to kill a fox

  • @canidoodoo No. We do not recommend any sub-12ft/lb air rifle for fox work.

  • I really like the walnut HW97KT stock & I plan on fitting one to the HW77k I'm buying off a mate in the new year. But I was wondering, does the synthetic version allow the fitting of sling studs? I know plastics don't take too kindly to a drill so any advice would be very helpful.

  • I own the '97 featured but with the nickel finish, and the stocks are definitely hollow, just remove the butt pad and look. It's also why they don't have the adjustable pad fitted.Fitted a Vortek kit to mine and it's removed all the twang and stock vibration too.

  • @SkimaskedHobo Informative. Thanks.

  • Very cool !

  • How do u become a reviewer do u ring air gun companies and ask to review there weapons ??

  • @shootstuff4u Generally, the well-known airgun testers have been working (in some capacity) within the trade, and are respected figures within that. They've all started at the butt... and worked their way up to the muzzle!!! LOL

  • iam from brazilian i not speak english go speaking portuguese eu quero aprender fazer uma airgun passo a passo se vc não entedeu

  • @lincff157 We're not entirely sure what you mean - we think it's that you want to see some step-by-step shooting coaching... but it could translate into you wanting to know how to make an airgun!

  • careful now. dont start a riot. haha

  • That was some real good shooting . It looked hard. That was some strong wind for shooting

  • Very nice shooting from a standing position.

  • I like the look of that HW97KT synthetic, Weihrauch make excellent rifles & one of these days I'm gonna get one of those. I prefer the walnut version but the synthetic is about 40 quid cheaper & you still get an excellent rifle. Smart move making the stock solid synthetic 'cos that way you can fit a sling stud without weakening the butt like a lot of synthetic models.

  • is there an automatic safety on the hw97k?

  • @saruso1994 Yes mate, it's standard fit on all Weihrauch rifles.

  • @Keith10284

    thx!

  • @saruso1994 Once off, they're difficult to re-set - you have to re-cock the rifle BTW.

  • Винтовка клевая, но типан дебил какой-то)))

  • in Illinois you can't get an airgun over 700 fps terrible law who thought that up?

  • @driveby14000 Cripes - you may as well be in the UK!!!

  • @AirgunTV in ny theres no limited

  • @driveby14000 move to Tennessee, in tennessee you can buy a shotgun and take it home the same day

  • Help!!!..im close to purchasing the HW97K in .22..but I cant decide on the wood version or synthetic!!..(it took me 6 months to decide on my tx200!!!!)..this is not easy..:(

  • sounded a bit twangy on the 3 or 4th shot. is that just the synthetic?

  • Great show again guys !! tried the balloon shoot with a few mates , it's a lot harder than you think . please keep up the good work .

  • Very interesting show. I like the look of the HW97KT, I've always loved Weihrauchs. I'm saving up for an XS20 at the mo (tight budget) & I really enjoyed Nigel Allens review on the XS19. I met Nigel Allen about 10yrs ago, lovely bloke. It's nice that there is finally a show, even if it's only on YouTube, that's dedicated to the sport. It's a bit like Top Gear & I like that. Keep up the good work AirgunTV!

  • the hw97kt is a hollow stock still a great rifle i love mines.

    Safe shooting

  • Giles definitely threw you a curve, Nigel. I would have thrown one back at him - removed the scope and just looked down the barrel at the targets - hold the aim 3 feet above the "balloon blind" and shoot at them the second they are released. :)

  • @EdgunUSA Sounds easy, Ed... but it's very difficult. Granted, a scope's probably not the best sight to use, though. Tip to anyone who's invited in the future - stick a red-dot on your scope and zero for around 25 yards. :)

  • @AirgunTV No doubt, Nigel - red dot would be the way to go. I wasn't implying that it would be easy. ;) Only that I (personally) would have a better chance using the gun like a shotgun, rather than a rifle. But, after I saw the conditions Malc had to deal with, I would be happy to get even one - regardless of shooting style. Those balloons didn't even have a chance to get above the blind. They were 10 yards down-range before poor ol' malc could even get a shot off. :D

  • @PLINKINATOR Yeah... having been thrown in at the deep end, and then missing my first few shots, I was beginning to wonder if it was going to be a 'duck' shoot! LOL It IS a pretty tough challenge - it'll be interesting to see what the Twig gets (if he ever agrees to doing it).

  • grate show

  • How do you not wobble all over the place shooting standing ?

  • As always Great segment guys ! Cheers.

    You realize, the " Twig " will catch you !! ... ;-)

  • is 18 acres enough land to shoot a standard non-liscense air rifle without too much need for caution other than the basic rules?

  • @3harrygleadell It comes with 3 bolts, but extra packs of 10 are a few pounds each. Thanks for watching.

  • does the crossbow come with bolts ?

  • haha that was good, the crossbow looks fun

  • Hi lads,

    Been having some spelling problems.

I wanted to say what a great episode that was and that i really enjoyed it.

Well done Nigel 12 out of 20 balloons was brilliant and i cant see others being able to beat that easily.

    Keep them coming

  • Another great episode. Thanks for making it and please keep them coming. Best of luck with "The Bank of Wife."

  • Good work guys

  • Good vid as always. Only gripe I have is you having to watch you reload every shot when you tested the HW97. Surely only once or twice is needed? ;)

  • @stevydgo Giles is already working on #6 !!!

  • Hi guys great vid!! i was wondering do u want to do a review on a bsa scorpion or if you can if you want to i have one which i would be happy to lend you??? keep the vids coming please!!!!!!!

  • @bulbeckja1 For your info, AirgunTV has a BSA Scorpion SE review going live in about two weeks' time. Stay tuned to this channel...

  • @AirgunTV oh right cool! i have the bsa scorpion se .177. It is my first pcp and it is amazing from what i have seen. In the week i have been shooting it i have shot targets at distance i would never have imagined with my old springer which was a hatsan 85 xth. I absolutely love it and am so glad i went for it in .177!!!

  • nice one mate loved the balloon challenge with nigel and he got 12 thats something i don't think i would even hit one lol .

anyho mate keep it up love watching these and also love the twig .

  • @85k11 It's surprisingly hard, actually. But great fun... and just a little bit addictive!

  • Hi Giles/Nigel

I loved the balloon challenge! What a great idea and I think Nigel did very well. I am not sure I would have hit half as many as he did.

I have just got my hands on a HW97KT in .22 and would agree that is is a fantastic rifle I hope the wife lets oyu get one LOL

  • @CountryPursuitsTV Dear Malc, Thanks for the comment. Please regard this as your official invitation to take part in Episode 6, and have a go at the Airgun Gear Balloon Shoot Challenge. You will be up against the Twig. ( we hope). Will contact you with details when I have them. All the best. Airgun Gear Show.

  • @AirgunGear Hi Giles, I accept the challenge (Gulp!) I best get some practice this looks real difficult! Nige has done a great job!

  • @CountryPursuitsTV Hi Malc - though I was 'disappointed' with 12 ex 20, I'd not practised it before and haven't been able to better it since! Great fun... and a really awesome challenge. Having shot airguns for over 35 years now - and probably a million pellets - I simply can't believe I've never done this before! Nige

  • @AirgunTV My hat is off to you Nige I think me and the Stig will do well to get anywhere near this. I think I may have some practice LOL

  • Just checked out blades and bows Looks like a very tidy website.!, i can see myself purchasing from them very soon.! great video too.!

  • hi Giles

nice review on the HW 97k.would also like one of these too

regards to its weight ,its only those with noodle arms who complain about it!!

not saying you have noodle arms,as your quiet a gert bloke!!

love the air balloon challenge ,it looks pretty hard to do much better if you had open sights,or low magnification?

i think this could be a good fund raiser at one of our T.H.L meets next year, rather than air rifle darts!

    keep up the good work

    regards

    Davy

  • @davyt63 Hi Davy. The Balloon Shoot Challenge was extremely difficult... but MASSES of fun! I've done it since (but not beaten 12 as it was even more windy!). However, I did pop a 70-yarder. We know it was 70 as I insisted on getting it paced out! I wound my Hawke down to 4x mag but it was still hard to pick up in the scope. You need to shoot immediately, really. I fancy having a go - with a multishot PCP - and a red-dot. PLEASE use it as a fund-raiser - it's tremendously addictive! Nige

  • @AirgunTV

    hi

it dose look difficult, why don't you do like soccer am do "crossbar challenge" and do a air balloon challenge?

with certain subscribers of your channel, pulled from a hat!

if practise is needed then its cheating!! LOL impulse shooting??

shall defo use this at are next meet!

    great work keep it up!

    regards

    Davy

  • Great Vid loved both Guns and thought the Balloon Challenge was Excellent and would love to see more of that Weldone 5/5

    Tam

  • @TamrynRimfire I think Giles has plans for the Balloon Shoot Challenge returning!!!

  • nice prog quite amusing, however i still think you had the underlever rifle wrong on loading, the bear trap failed on an underlever a friend of mine owned, he lost the end of his finger as it snapped shut, so do take care with the loading.but keep the progs coming and keep the twig involved...
