I wish I could see a solar eclipse, but you cant look at it directly with the naked eye or, it could hurt your eyes, so you have to wear these special glasses or, get a bowl, fill it wiht water, out it under where the moon is and look at the reflection in the water.
In a total eclipse you can look directly at the occurrence without eye protection when there is no direct sunlight hitting you etc. In this video it is approximately from 00:35 to 01:06. If you are in the right area geographically on Earth and you can see a total eclipse at a 'perfect angle' then it is also known as the point of 'greatest eclipse'.

any one who's complaining about the filmer's reaction - wouldn't you be enthralled if you witnessed the moon crossing the sun's path? just mute the sound if it's such a problem.

Wrong. A solar eclipse is when the Sun is eclipsed by the moon. (The moon on the direct line-of-sight path from the Sun to Earth.
