By your nervous system, as in modifying the raw sensory info or something else? And are the resources you are referring to your mind or something external? No because some of that music does have these qualities embedded deep within the notes being played; maybe it's just your subconscious that recognizes it and therefore you may think there's something wrong. I myself am a musician in a technical death metal band but understand the importance of these certain frequencies and scale patterns. What you can do is trace bands' influences back to the origins and try to open your mind to that type of music too and maybe you might like it as well.

The "Aphex Twin" song which had Richard's face in it, was not actually "Windowlicker", it was "∆Mi-1=-a∑Di(n)(∑Fij(n-1)+Fexti(n-1))". Although, in "Windowlicker" a spiral can be seen near the end of the song, if one was looking through a Spectrogram.

I never thought about the experimenter bringing in the perception of the experiment and affecting the result, but I still wonder if some music can still be a negative polarity even though the listener may find it a positive polarity.. For instance, I saw the word Beethoven imprinted on water and the word Hitler, but would the results have been different if the expirementer was a Nazi?

There is no avoiding the bias during the interpretation of data. What we really need to know is whether there was bias in the PRESENTATION of Emoto's data. If so, that does not negate the message... Only the scientific validity... an important distinction to make.

Earth Consciousness while felt during psychedelic/meditative states, I have found to be positive in every respect other than the fact one can feel the Earth in conflict/tension with it's parasite (human) from time to time. One last thought, is that environmental stress plays a role in how our glands function; adrenaline glands can be depleted through stress & cause a deficient state where pain is not dealt with efficiently. This can cause problems, many of them emotional in nature. Its great that you all mention the "holistic" nature. emotos work shows a great deal of logic in its process, as the water acts as an antenna transferring wave forms of harmonic structure into the waters structure. harmonic structure exists but it doesn't negate the artistic expression of those using dissonance or aggression to transmute their emotions. perhaps humans consciousness can translate this more efficiently into a self-serving modality than simpler structures, due to our ability to reason. just a thought.

Agreed. This is why we do not take his studies at face value. Whether his scientific method is valid or not, the way he presents his data is like a painted picture... and "rock music" is associated with a dead, ugly water image. This is what I mean by "bias during the interpretation of data"... could be taken a step further to say "bias during the presentation of data".
I personally see Emoto's research as an indication that water responds to structure with flow (symbolized by classical music)

I also disregard the "new age paintbrush" approach or "bias during presentation of data". I do feel that balance is key, & there is a correlation between indulging in anything with abandon without conscious awareness. Emoto is correct in that water has a "base consciousness" or is "holographic" or pure in structure, hence its susceptibility to harmonics is very evident, whereas a person has more resources to adapt to such signals.
