to win in afghanistan we would need a 10-1 ratio against the talaban. 40,000 more troops is a start....but 400,00 is unrealistic. once the ground troops have position of the enemy we should carpet bomb the area. why are we not hearing anything about sorte missions?

If we withdraw from Afghanistan, or don't commit the troops that Gen. McChrystal (Obama's hand picked commander) says we need to win, then we will allow the Taliban to take over again & give Al Qaeda the safe haven they have before 9-11. If we accept "moderate" Taliban participation in Afghanistan then we doom the women of that nation to living under Sharia law & being stoned for the crime of wanting an education. And worse, every U.S. military man & woman that has died, will have died in vain.
