mu antie just came came back from new zealand and she flew on the a380 she said that you cant feel the takeoff its that smooth cant yiu cant feel the landing said that the plane was full carring 540 passagers

@MoieG -- I had exactly the same seat in my recent flight Paris-Johannesburg. Amazing wing. However, I got the "feeling" the a340 (in which I have flown many times) is a more solid design for long journeys. The stress on wings and motors in the a380 must be amazing and I doubt the plane will be as cost-effective and safe as the a340 (look at Qantas' problems in Sept./2010). Best from Spain.

@MoieG Yes I returned to oz frid 31/12/2010 and I agree with you,the landing and take off were both very smooth the plane was very comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. I am definately flying Emirates again.

The food was great with emirates, wasn't it! I flew with the A380 into sydney from auckland. Great flight, but a bumpy landing, unfortunately.
