That's nothing try picking hickeys at 55,000 60,000 and yes people still do that. Where I worked all 4/color presses running coated stock washed on the fly backing off the ink forms. All newsprint presses washed at a crawl.
lmfao try doing that on a 66 inch web running 165,000 impressions per hour, running 3 out with a plow on the Goss C700, then I would be impressed hehe :)
Try doing it @ 55000 iph. It takes skill, but it also takes one mistake to loose a limb. Sometimes the piling comes back soon after and it's all because cheap ass corporations buy cheap etch to save $1/gallon. But do remember this, love what you do, but don't love your company because they don't love you. YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER.
ps - and he's wasting his time anyway. It wont get rid of any piling or build up, in fact all he's doing is either getting rid of icky's or wasting paper.
yea its better than having a dumbass go in and wash the blanket on the run and get his fukin hand caught between the blankets. like some ppl i know. and about the paper waste. WHAT ARE U BUYING THE PAPER? QUIT WORRYING ABOUT WASTE FUCKNUTTS
quit worrying about waste? how the fuck do u think u get a chargehands postion? by having less waste and more good copies than anyone else, thats how! once u are a chargehand u get paid fuckloads more than anyone else. so go back to your apprenticeship and read in the manuals where to find your balls
first of all my balls are in your mouth! now that we bother know where theyre at!!! his first mistake is he's wearing a pussy glove cuz he dont wanna get dirty, he is in the wrong position. and dont talk shit about paper waste shithead! no matter what fucking press your on your always going to have paper waste its nothing to try to avoid!! are my balls still in your mouth??? do they taste good?
Hey way to go dude you are a hero, you're not afraid of hurting yourself, but if you damage the blanket if you lose grip at the rag, you are going to cost money to the business, i think you don't like you're profession.
so u slow the machine down to crawl, wash the blanket, then start back up causing excess waste and more work for yourself? i bet you are just out of your apprenticeship or still in the middle of it and think you know everything.
Yes, thats suicide. Why not invest in an automatic wash, and if theres piling then pull up or clean it off on crawl? I've seen amputations with that game. The machine will not stop dead.
We have an automatic blanket wash system on our Rotoman. Screw stickin your hands anywhere near the machine when it's at operating speed. When we clean plates it's usually running on the crawl at around 1000 impressions per hour

That's a ridiculous practice. We had Baldwin auto washers when i worked in web offset. I lost my finger in print, so like i said that's just dumb.
