  • When I was little, we had a cat who developed a blood clot and lost complete control over his back legs for a time. We thought it was because he was hit by a car. After a year or so (or maybe a few months, I was about 5 or 6 at the time) he regained complete control over his back legs again. However, when I was 12 he developed another clot that was much much worse, and had to be put down. I really hope your cat Dylan doesn't have the same problem in the future.

  • Can you tell me if this was sudden or developed over time? My cat is suffering from loss of her back legs and she even stopped eating, we have her on a stimulants for her appetite but the affliction is still present. Thanks

  • @James1toknow. Dylan suffered a blood clot at the top of his neck which caused total paralysis straight away. He couldn't move at all for a couple of days, then slowly started to recover. Within a month or so he had recovered enough to be able to walk around again.

  • @gnuontheloose Well it does not look good for my Jasmine she is even worst now she won't even try to walk. Looks like I have to put here down.

    Thanks for the response.
