  • And you know Isabelle Aubret... damn, you really are THE man !!

  • a lifetime's issues ripped apart in 8.54...Excellent.

  • that was an amazing improvisation in the beginning

  • I'm impressed that Jung is incorporated in this lesson. The harmonica used to appeal to my persona and ego, now it appeals to shadow and trickster archetype. In my musical journey I anticipate the harp and Blues culture to be discovered as integrated with my SELF archetype. Thanks for the lesson. Also, I just purchased the "Turnarounds" lesson from Modern Blues Harmonica store and it aided in the elevation of my playing in a matter of minutes. I recommend it!

  • Awesome improvisation!

I've a doubt, is it E flat major? minor? don't know too much =(

  • Hmm... The warrior metaphor is a good one. The aggression is there. But the skill required to bring that agression out as a coherent, interesting piece of music is something that takes good skill and practise...

Well. At least theres something to aim for!

  • awsome man!

  • Thanks. You say more with four words than most of us say with forty.

  • i am or want to be a better warrior , a lover and a painter...

  • oh man!!!!

    im speechless!!!!

  • Out of the box.

  • the e flat is out of the box?

    or you customized it?

  • That's what we should do. Drop a cargo plane load of harmonicas in the Middle East. That way we won't have to defend against their attacks.

Too bad it doesn't actually work that way...

  • im definitely goin to see you in october when yur in san diego

  • Not to mention what I have called his "where does all the stuff comes from" teaching...

  • Admitting that he made a mistake with a sincere laugh, that what makes this man big as a teacher and as a musician. Thanks for this valuable lesson Adam.

  • Adam, Now I know you understand your craft: everything you spoke of here is the same as T'ai Chi and it's energy flow. Yes, you are a Master, because you've never been afraid to be the student. My admiration for you continues to grow.

Many thanks, I'm learning and it's more about the scales, eh?

  • totally agree

  • thanks!

  • you're great, you also give lessons in life. great lesson

  • You are the best!

  • Evervbody wants to get to this point. People say play something for me so you got to think of a song or improv. Your 2 options.

  • Big Walter is a beautiful example. He has such a sweet sound in some spots, and then his sound turns raw and menacing. One of the biggest things I appreciate about blues harp.

  • Yes! That's right! Play from the heart! Just like Stevie Ray Vaghan said on the Texas Flood album. Thanks.

  • Thanks for keepin in the real shit!

  • Great work Adam on your Inprovisation videos

  • Great lesson Adam. Love your 'warrior' philosophy.

  • Fantastic ADAM! I'll look forward to whatever you have on offer. Cheers from Downunder...and thanks for making life easier!

  • Being an aries helps! you got carey bell, lee oskar, peter madcat ruth, all wariors in they're approach to harp playing... peace

  • Improv and mistakes go hand in hand... but that's what makes our journey's our own. Like Robert Frost said "... and that has made all the difference."

  • thanks Adam for your words ,i really appretiated that, you are a truly master!

  • Adam, I was in a rut, harpwise till you started these videos - there are slicker ones, but few as inspiring. I've always thought that music is the only real 'spiritualism', in that thrpugh recordings we can feel the spirit of long-dead and unknown musicians today, and the harp is the nearest thing to an instrument as an extension of the body there is - lips, heart and lungs.

  • Ah, wonderful, soul-stirring stuff, Adam. Thanks.

  • Your points can be applied to many things. It's what I needed to hear on a day like this. Thanks for teaching what's needed to be heard. I, personally, take it to heart. I'm still a beginner at the harp; but I'm an advanced artist. It all fits in.

  • Adam, I'm a pretty advanced player but I'll subscribe to you site because you should be supported. What you do is a treasure. Great work. -- Sam Blancato, Pittburgh

  • Thanks, Sam. That's a real compliment and I appreciate it.

  • WOW, this is exact thing im into right now.Improv. Hehe, i laughed about "if you mess, just keep going", its all true. Too bad it happens to me often :D . Listening and practice is the key. another great lesson, looking forward to next one
