@SperoAeternam obviously you don't know how these things work in sweden. the owner is not obligated to know who's using the vehicle he/she owns and owning a vehicle doesn't make you responsible for any law that might be broken with it. I've outrun the cops with a car once, registred to a member of my family, and we never heard a thing about it. the law in sweden states that you have to be guilty beyond any reasonable doubt to be convicted, and to own a vehicle who ran just isn't enough.

Helt rätt av dig. Men om inte bilen är stulen så körde förmodligen ägaren eller någon som han lånat ut bilen till.Jag lånar bara ut min bil till någon som jag känner. Tycker du att polisen ska få jaga bilister i vilken hastighet som helst & riskera andra människors liv? Ja det hållar jag helt med om. Hur kan man lägga så mycket på en en ynka fortkörare? Men det verkar ju vara det enklaste arbetet som ger snabba resultat för vår poliskår i Sverige.De flesta bilister kör för fort p.g.a för lågt satta hastigheter. Morden i Malmö skulle jag bli förvånad om dom reder upp. Jag tycker man prioriterar väldigt fel. Mer resurser borde användas till riktig brotslighet. Fortkörning inom rimliga gränser hör inte dit.

So, stupid the bike-driver is, there is a lot of turns he could have made onto sideroads instead of driving straight forward. It's like you see in the cartoons, the characters running down-hill chased by a giant boulder, and instead of just taking a step to the right/left, keeps on running forward faster..

The problem with this "stupid squids don´t know how to take a corner, don´t know a thing about go fast on a motorcycle" its lack of skills.

I have a Yamaha XT660 X its like a supermoto bike, it has only 48 HP and about 160 Km/h top speed, compared to an SV or a bigger bike like yours(I assume its GSX-R 1000) and 3 weeks ago I was in a sunday motorcycle meeting that we have in Portugal every week and sometimes police shows up to prevent street racing...

It's possible that not using the siren is a tactic that prevents escalating the chase, gets the target to relax. The rider took it easy for awhile, until the police car tried to block him off. This doesn't help much to alert other drivers to the danger coming, though.

Sometimes I really like the relaxed swedish way of handling personal data. Figuring out the name of the guy on the motorcycle  was no problem at all for me. Just sent an sms with the reg # to the appriate athority and you get back the info. And this one seems to be quite smallbrained. If you speed, just pay the fine. But running away from the police is just brainless and VERY expensive. The bike has been unregistered since 27Aug2008. So I the owner has to walk now. Very much justified!

They do, but this unit(number 2727) are just useless when it comes to using the siren.

They once chased a VW Passat through a sleepy town at speed over 100 and still didnt use the siren even though they were driving against traffic and on sidewalks and so on. They used the siren to identify them selves as police but turned it off once he refused to stop.

I dont know why they do that but is stupid.

@dreesmann When driving at high speed on the freeway, using the siren is useless anyway. It's almost as if you hear the sirens AFTER the unit has already driven passed you... the lights, however, work perfectly fine. But why they do NOT use the siren when in the city, I can't say... looks stupid to me.
