  • He would have made a amazing NFL player

  • beast!

  • yeaa jeff...you should of just keep going with football buddy

  • he is the reason i play wide reciver

  • Why do all these vids have such lame music?

  • he's now a mediocre reliever with i good fastball but no control. in my opinion he should have pursured football..

  • this is one of the best made highlight videos ive seen, nice job.

btw that last clip gave me goosebumps...those were the days..

  • Great vid, good job

  • I wish he went to the Nfl

  • @ErikC1997 I agree. He'd be a pro bowler in the NFL!!!

  • He's relativeley health playing baseball. God knows the odds would have been against his health playing in the NFL. He made the wise decision... and he sitll has some superb highlights at ND.

  • He would have been the second highest rated receiver out of college behind Calvin Johnson.

  • He should have chosen the NFL!

  • wouldve loved to see him take his talents to the nfl. he'd be a standout

  • too bad he chose baseball over football would have loved to have seen him in the nfl

  • Im training with his strenght and speed coach from his days at notre dame yup im just that much cooler than you...

  • I miss him...

  • I love the Cubs, but the bears could have used this guy just a little bit more.

  • hey could you please upload it again but in HQ?

  • Wow...I thought you were going to leave out the UCLA game-winner for a second there.

Rank among all-time ND receivers? Discuss. He has to be top 3.

The answers to "Why baseball" are (A) speed and (B) contracts are guaranteed money in baseball...not in football.

  • whYYYYYYYYYY did he choose baseball again??

  • if he went to the nfl...

  • oh man. the good old notre dame days....

  • such a waste of talent to choose baseball over football. Could have been pro-bowl calibre level in NFL

  • @dragondxs30 I know right this guy is 6'5 - 6'6 has great hands not to mention great speed and he chooses baseball I mean it was his choice but in my opinion a stupid one would have been a top receiver in the nfl right now.

  • man these were the days, it was too bad rema mcknight was hurt the same season stovall n the shark were on, or it woulda been mcknight, stovall and the shark on one field together..

  • For a tall guy, 6'6", he has very good speed. Better hands than speed though, he can catch anything.

  • i remember when i was in grade school watching him play for Valparaiso High School where i later played for, beast in high school, best for the fightin' irish

  • white wide receivers of america!

  • marxisttsar: wtf are you talkin about! anyone that says nd sucks ass definetly means that they fuckin suck ass. so you fuckin suck ass you prick. shut your fuckin face dick mouth!!! ND4LIFE

  • BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • reptiles4everguy17: ME TOO

  • i met jeff. GREAT guy!

  • where did u meet him?

  • @cnorm2210 i met jeff at the blue and gold game

  • @theedgekid83 legit man..i met him when he came to peoria for the single A team here

  • wayyy more money in baseball and he will play longer in the MLB.... sadly lol but would have been in the top 10 in the draft and a starter right now.....

  • To be honest, white guys tend to not get such great chances to start in the NFL.... Lots of great white WRs end up on the practice squad, even after great college careers.... Sort of like how black QBs were discriminated against in the 50s, its just reversed nowadays.

  • i'm black and what i wanna know is why is this guy not in the nfl, he torched usc's defense in 2005. plz come to my texans jeff

  • he is my idol. I am a white receiver with long hair.

  • why baseball this dude couldve easily been in top 10 draft pick

  • Thats what I wonder...he is a bench warmer now but he could of been a starter probably

  • money... and he wouldn't have been a top 10 draft pick

  • no are you crazy you know how good he is

  • He was good, but it's all moot now that he's in baseball.

  • yeah but if he wouldve went to the nfl that time he wouldve been picked high

  • just looked it up mel kiper jr. had jeff samardjiza as a top 15 pick

  • clip 1:38 -amazing-

  • he is by far the best ND receiver i have seen in 20 years

  • awesome video

  • he should of stuck to football

  • He is owning it up in baseball now

  • yes

  • this song is inspiring

  • 1:37<3

  • this kids a beast playmaker

  • he doesnt really get caught from behind too much

  • all hail #83! he is one of the reasons i love notre dame! Go Irish!

  • he's a pretty cocky guy but i love his attitude and the way he played. i never paid much attention to him but i know he was known for some nice grabs.

good video and i'm not much of a ND fan, but i am forever an 83 fan!!

  • looking back at this is a little sad. quinn and samardzija connecting time and time again was so exciting and fun to watch... too bad he didnt go pro. :(

  • awesome song man. seriously. i am totally incpired.

  • God, he was great, wasn't he? I don't care what anyone says, the guy could have been one of the NFL's all-time great receivers, if he wanted to do football instead of baseball. As much as it pains me, I wish him the best in baseball (F*** the cubs!). I can only hope Robby Paris becomes half as good of a receiver as the Shark was.

  • no doubt paris will be good, gotta watch for John Goodman too, i expect him to be a kick ass slot receiver by end of this year, may be #2 by next year

  • How come only third string white boys get to be the next Samardzija? I think Kamara's got the best shot to inherit the throne. Oh what, he can only be compared to Stovall?

  • to me he was da best receiver in dat class.... hope he decides to put da pads on again

  • ya stupid CUBs

  • i am a notre dame football fan and i dislike baseball so i wasnt very happy with his choice of baseball

  • jeff chose baseball probably cause its safer in the long run...and it pays more...no pysical contact day in and day out...how many more people get injured from NFL..

  • what a shame he didnt turn pro in football

  • it's kind of amazing that ND did not win a bowl game with that guy and Quinn

  • chris cornell-you know my name.

  • what a waste...

  • what is "spartan pictures"?

  • Man I miss that guy, he amazed me for 4 years along with Quinn and Zibby....thats all I can say

  • was he that good all through college?

  • yes...yes he was

  • and now he's making his way through the baseball ranks.

  • just these two years

  • I was at the 2005 stanford Nd game routing for ND

  • i went to every game

  • wuts the sonng in the video???

  • you know my name- chris cornell

  • oh many would he have been a heck of a football player

  • who gives two shits about baseball?

Samardzija wasn't the fastest but he was a great possesion receiver in college. He basically broke ND's receiver records for no reason. what a shame.

  • I wish he would have went to the NFL, although i still think he will eventually.

If he does it soon he might be one of the few good white recievers.

  • Samardzija only had 1017 yds last year (12TD) and 1249(15TD) in 05-216yds 2TD against a pitiful Stanford

  • I'm a Cubs fan too but so far Samardzija has been way overrated. 2-6 4.67ERA .316 opp average only 36K in 90.2 inn. w/30BB in A ball

  • that sucks he didnt go to the nfl

  • and it sucks because, he is not very good in baseball. 21 k in 56.1 innings, yikes!. now all he can look forward too is having a bright career coming out of a bullpen. what an idiot.

  • I agree with adub160, no big games against good opponents.

  • uhhhhh...UCLA ain't bad. They shut down USC last year. And he had to have good games against SOME good opponents. Any time youve got 1200-1300 yards and 15 tds at Notre Dame, you've gotta have a few good games against good teams, considering their schedule. Good games against good opponents, dominating games against average teams.

  • UCLA (7-6) got lucky, USC played terrible, they were not a good team, average at best. Samardzija:06 Mich 30yds, 05 Mich 52yds, 05 OSU 59yds, 06 LSU 59yds, 05 USC 99yds, 06 USC 79yds. Those were the only teams with a good d that he faced and USC really shouldn't be on the list because the whole Pac10 pass d isn't that good. ND record in those games 1-5

  • Notice how there were no catches against USC? Just throwing that out there,hahahah...

  • Correction - One each in 2005 and 2006. The 2005 was spectacular, too.

  • VERY well edited video. I see a lot of shitty editing jobs here on YouTube, but this was great. Nice job.

  • you forgot white lightning, joe jurevicius

  • O man i wanted the jags to get this guy. Him and my hero Matt Jones would be so good 2 whiteys!!! haha Yea Matt Jones needs to step up though.

  • Samardzija is sooooo good. Too bad he wont be playing football, instead he wants to go to baseball. He would be tight on the Eagles.

  • sorta weird seein a white wr bein so good. no offense & all but weird

  • i know, their r no good white WRs in the NFL, he would be

  • that was an amazing video! nick work

  • gotta say...video n song r pretty wicked, nice job bro

  • SICK video .. GREAT song choice

  • i already have one of darrius, but i am considering a sequel

  • i liked how you put the UCLA

    game at the en

    well planed
