would someone, please, tell me how much does it cost to study in Parsons? My daughter is finishing secondary school in 2012 and she wants to study fashion design there. We are from Argentina and I'd like to know how much money I will have to save. Any information is good for me. and how many years does the complete career take?

@ssandri03 its 39,350 but they have finical aid i am pretty sure, you can check out their website it has a bunch of information about the school and teh programing

I love both FIT & Parsons; stuck btwn the two & SCAD.

but you know i see myself in alot of these people! I dont think you should dress with "the current trends" on your mind. dress to express yourself.

I love to stand out; i love to look great as well! :)

I think once you have gone to an art school & been around more people you can relate to (people that are visual thinkers & love art) then you know how to stop caring what others think & rock what you want!! :)

I know. I'm heading off to NYU this fall and I can only hope these videos aren't representative of the type of NYU students you'd run into on the street (ugh). These Parsons kids seem so natural and unassuming.

there's something more natural and unpretensious about the students featured from the art and design schools (fit, pars.) than NYU and Hunter College. THe design students seem to look at fashion as a means of self-expression and personal style than trying to "look cool/good for the masses".

The term "false signaling" is what sociologists use for people dressing differently to make people think that they are somehow different than most people. In other words, superficial is what most people are who think that the clothes they wear say all that much about them.
