@DooMGuy117 well it WAS a very revolutionary and amazing game for nintendo at the time, probally one the greatest FPS realeased for the 64, competing with Goldeneye
Gamecube had it's share of good games, but it's unfortunate that some of what we saw here never came to fruition.
Tales of Symphonia, Rogue Squadron II, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime I, Super Smash Bros Melee, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door...these are some of the games that made Gamecube worth slogging through the bad titles.
Of course, Wii was hit even harder by the slew of low quality games, mostly due to a lot of slapped together motion control 3rd parties.
Omg I just got tears in my eyes I haven't seen this footage in like 7 years...
I remember what it was like to see this...I came back from a trip with NO idea the Gamecube EXISTED and came home to see this clip along with many other teasers and tech demos. Nintendo with Next-Gen Tech. That's a true dream come true and I can't wait til Nintendo does it again.
well the graphical evolution has somewhat started to lag behind on nintendo's new consoles. I expect the 3ds to have near gc quality graphics and the next wii to have near xbox 360 quality graphics. but maybe they can still surprise, who knows?
I wish we had those days back... back when series' were getting graphical updates to make crowds actually cheer AND new ideas like Pikmin and Animal Crossing... now we get Wii Scales and Wii Maths...
@superlink235 Not exactly, it was released April 14, 2001 on the Nintedno 64 and the Gamecube was released 7 months later with the Gamecube version coming a month after the console launched (in Japan), so it was a new idea around this time, but I do understand what you were trying to convey...
@JudderMan25 Yeah and a new "the game you played last year...thants it no inovation just a new title" yeah, face it genious you've been played, not only nintendo, but the whole industry this generation sucked...at least the big n did something original in the begining that the others copied.
But at a certain point I agree, the last generation was better,my playstaion2 and game cube,GBA and PSP,agre with me ^^

@superlink235 oh i know, hell i've lost more time to Perfect Dark's multiplayer mode than Goldeneye, and halo 1, 2, 3, and Reach COMBINED.
Now if only they'll release a HD remake of Goldeneye for XBLA...curses nintendo!

@brickman409
no, it really hasn't, it's better than the 64, but really, replay some gamecube and you'll see.

wow.... Nintendo should remember how they used to rock our socks off in the past with their presentations.
Metroid delivered, and Zelda did too, but it was nothing like what they showed in that vid.

Lord! The gamecube seemed so damn promising back then! Hind sight is a bitch, cause statistically speaking, the GC was a sack of fail.

Me too.
Now I just think about the wasted potential. I liked maybe five games for the GC.

it was a good console, despite what people say. the ps2 was over-rated if anything.
