I'm not too sure about this though you should read the manga I hear after this battle Akabane beats Ban in another fight, I also think the fight was shorter in the anime, like most of the fights in the anime. And Ginji as lightning emperor is much stronger in the manga too, so I still think Ginji is the strongest read the manga much better then the anime anime 5/10 manga 10/10.

The anime died due to weak funding, ratings and other issues.. but the manga lives on. New issues are printed to this day. The plot gets better, i promise.. you just have to have a little tolerance to the subliminal yaoi pics once in a while from certain artists.
