  • Thanks, the mantle package had no instructions !!

  • Very cool. I always wondered about this...

  • thanks for explaining it and making it seem as easy as it is.

  • Hi, My name is Gerard. Your Channel is Extremely Important. Having survived Katrina,Ike & Gustav-If I had only had access to internet-Maybe my world might be for the Better. Anyhow, Thank You from the Bottom of my heart and God Bless. By the way- I am in the New Orleans Region.

  • Nice instructional, thanks for posting it.

I'm surprised an Old School gentleman such as yourself isn't running liquid fuel for that old time 'pumping up the lantern' experience. . :-P

  • Nice videos!!! I'm Deffinatally subscribing!!!

  • A word of caution: NEVER crumble very old mantles that have been burned to ash. Prior to 1991 Coleman and every other maker of mantles were made of a radioactive material, the dust if inhaled or ingested can be harmful for life. Since about 1991 Coleman has switched to a safer material, but some Asian imports still are made of the older radaioactive materials. Just a heads up!

  • Forgive me but Mantels are made of Rayon.

  • Thanks, I should have said artificial silk or rayon or ramie. I'm old school we have always called them silk mantles.

  • is it possible to buy lantern mantles in store??

  • You can purchase the mantles at any sporting goods store or most places that sell camping gear.

  • Great Video! I look forward to seeing more of your videos. I'm glad to see black folks are getting into camping.
