i think that was most everyone's last star..i mean this star was tough too but it took me a long time to finish the purple coins...AND i did it a second time with luigi..which was slightly harder..i hear mario galaxy 2 is supposed to be more challenging....looks like my wiimote will be going through my tv

I've been struggling with this one for so long. Today I said what the hell and on my second try I got it. I think if you have patience and practice, then it is not as bad. A little luck wouldn't hurt also. The dreadnought purple coins on the other hand, now that's a hard ass level. I only need 2 stars before I can play as luigi, dreadnought's purple coins and underground ghost ship daredevil.

I don't see why everyone says this level is so hard. I found it relatively easy. On my first playthrough of this level, I only died 5 times, and those were caused by stupid mistakes that could have been easily avoided had I slowed down. I found the Bouldergeist Daredevil Run much more difficult.

this was my strategy:

1st half:

circle around him clockwise, only hit him with those black boos, does not throw any other stones after a black one(to reduce the chance of being hit by the stones

if u see he is using his spikey stone attack and cant evade it, spin jump

second half:

same as first half, but now cirle around him a little bit further away.

just evade the punching hand attack and the other hand attack

What i hate about this level is the fact that if you die 1 cm away from the star, you have to START AGAIN. I did do it eventually, very, very hard.

This one was indeed hard, together with the daredevil Bouldergeist, hated that one even more.

Anyway, this level seems to be the only level that you have to daredevil run, does anyone know why? the could also daredevil'd the boss of this level, what for my feeling is what they wanted to do?

For Luigi, my brother was a jerk, so he made me die by falling into lava and such with the 2nd player's controls. It took me pretty long as Mario, too, because there wasn't any Life Mushrooms and stuff, which was helping me out a lot in the mission.
