I am 17 and have been listening to the clean, the gordons, the bats, the 3Ds all the flying nun greats for years, my uncle played guitar for the subliminals (another flying nun) New Zealand really had a unique music scene back then that didn't get nearly enough attention.

I had the great pleasure of meeting these guys - David, Hamish, and Robert - after a show in Hoboken, NJ in 2001. Great show, great band and a great memory of seeing them - one of my fave bands of all time - in an intimate club setting.

Ok, I am looking for this NZ song thats on a flying nun VHS from the 90s or maybe late 80s thats in the Dunedin art gallery VHS collection. Anyway, I have no idea who the band are, but the video is in claymation and its this orange dude and he gets slup in to, and dies and stuff...vauge, I know...arghh, anyone know what the song is???

This is my idea of a genius band - one of the greatest in rock history. For me, they are in my top 5 of performers, along with the Beatles, Dylan, Ramones, and Velvet Underground.
