@taano71 actually no, this is a video that was posted before the ics launch, and was believed to be a fake( I remember watching this video a month before the launch; also, look at the date the video was posted)
Indeed this is not Android Ice Cream Sandwich it's a Cyanogenmod rom 9 I must say Cyanogenmod is best rom i have ever use my HTC HD2 Android Gingerbread.
@uploader , I have installed the ICS on my Nexus S , but wana to downgrade it to 2.3.4 or 2.3.6 due to lot of bugs which prevents to use a lot of features , can u please help me to how can I downgrade my phone .. I will really appreciate

err the fact that the whole concept is a rip off of iOS. anyway, this reminds me of the Mac vs Windows days, the Mac won that and was always ahead, same here.
@ibbz wait? so iphone had notification bars that slide before android? iphone can have a UI to the users liking? iphones get updated every so often instead of once a year? and notice im saying iphone not iOS... thats because only one type of phone has iOS and thats iPhone... even people are trying to put android on iphone because iOS is not cool.. how many android devices can i name? nexus 1, nexus s, HTC evo, HTC thunderbolt, Mytouch, Huawei ascend, Samsung epic... hell theres so many ima stop
This must be a very early build of the software. There are quite a few differences between this and the version of ICS shown at the presentation in Hong Kong.
@FreshPrinceJunkie Did that phone even get a working Gingerbread build yet? I remember they released it then quickly pulled it... Updates on that phone have been a mess for Samsung. They're probably eager to drop support and the major changes in ICS gives them that out. Sorry, but I don't think the original Epic 4G will get it.
Yeah It will most certainly not get ICS, Sprint's plan is to roll out the promised GB update in the next few weeks (supposedly there are network related delays) then the phone is going EOL (end of life). So much for the Epic 4g...
@FreshPrinceJunkie Use Cyanogen Mod. Don't rely on the manufacturer for updates. They're either too slow to release them or don't release them at all.
@FreshPrinceJunkie good luck with samsung phones. They have a tendency to ignore customer requests. If there is no word, then samsung will not release one no matter who complain. Thats what happen to Galaxy I
@XxAlex1xX1 Just because this device is built by samsung and has ICS, doesnt mean the SG phones are getting it any faster, they likely wont until after january or febuary. The Nexus S and Nexus One are first in line.

@CityFlashLights what? you want me to say that Android is a confusing, messy over done pile of tripe? That all it is and ever will be is a mockery and poor rip off of iOS? Well I've said it!
@spazoid2121 Why is it so necessary to see the settings screen? you can clearly see that it is ICS and not a launcher.. look at the lockscreen and the status bar.....ALSO ICS has ALREADY been released..
@spazoid2121 This was the 1stt video leak of ICS, regardless of device. Look at the post date. The features shown weren't even known when it was leaked. After the Google event yesterday it's clear this is real. What else could it be lol. Only a psychic would be able to create a fake that far in advance. The settings screen is out there, but that's a non-issue. Google already confirmed Nexus S will get the update anyway. There's no reason to be skeptical. I refuse to reply about this any further.
Yup, this turned out to be the real deal. I don't think this video did the new features justice, but I hope those who called this fake for the past three weeks will be a bit more open minded next time there's a leak like this... Peace.
Lets see the settings screen first before everyone makes the assumption that this is that. I high doubt that this is in fact ICS, considering it has not been made into any rooted roms as of today
@spazoid2121 Did you not see the Galaxy Nexus announcement yesterday? This is the real deal. The reason the ROM dump didn't show up on XDA or other forums is because Google remotely wiped the device after it made the news. That being said, it's an earlier version because some of the transitional animations are different. But you can clearly see all the new features (folders, task switcher, widgets/apps menus, notification shade, camera, lockscreen, etc). What more do you want? lol.
@Bmonkey3232 The EVO 3D can easily run Android 4.0, it's just a question of if and when HTC wants to update it through Sprint. I think they will, but it may take 2-3 months since they have to add in their customizations. They sounded a little hesitant in their official statement saying they had to evaluate the update for their lineup, however, I think the EVO 3D will be covered because it's one of Sprint's flagship phones.

as far as i know, it should handle scrollabel widgets (thats the most important feature for me - i'm actually using a seperate launcher to get this done)
here a list of all improvements made in ics: im not able to post the link, however, just search for news android 4 - i've found the updates to ics all on techradar...
While it seems to be real based on today's unveiling, it also looks as if its an earlier build than what was announced. The notification bar and the dock extremely different. Regardless, this was a cool story/video, and I'm really pumped to get my hands on ICS!
@KiLLeRxxBuNNy Yes, it will be officially unveiled on the 19th in Hong Kong (18th in US due to time difference). However, look at the newer video in the video response section. That shows what seems to be an updated version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on the unreleased Galaxy Nexus smartphone.
@KiLLeRxxBuNNy Not every phone. Google's Nexus devices will get it first, then other high-end phones will probably get it a couple months later. If your phone came out recently and has high-end specs, there's a good chance you'll get it. If not, then you could always root and load a custom ROM that has it (when developers get a hold of it). That takes some advanced knowledge though.
@KiLLeRxxBuNNy It could probably run it, but I'm thinking HTC won't upgrade it because it launched with Froyo and already got an update to Gingerbread. They're likely only thinking about the Sensation and other dual-core phones they launched this year. You never know though.
@SmartKeitai *October 19th* Cancelled 11th by Google/Samsung because of Steve Jobs' death. Will be now held with AllThingsD in Hong Kong which is great because im in the same time zone as China :)
@dltndnja This was an older build of ICS running on an old Nexus S. Check out the video in the video response section to see a newer build running on the Galaxy Nexus (Nexus Prime). Looks better imo.
@SmartKeitai oh OK. I just watched it. Its definitely much better. Hope it doesnt have the hiccups that honeycomb right now has.. for honeycomb, after running a lot of tasks, and press home screen, everything becomes laggy for a few seconds. There are other lags also on honeycomb of course..Honeycomb is pretty smooth when using it for a short time, but as you keep using it, you'll definitely see occasional lags..I mean lag, as slow down & choppiness..
does the update affect the battery?

So we now know this was 100% real. Why else would the device been remotely wiped? Ice Cream Sandwich is both sweet and beautiful.

is this a new update?
KiLLeRxxBuNNy 4 months ago
@KiLLeRxxBuNNy Yes, it will be officially unveiled on the 19th in Hong Kong (18th in US due to time difference). However, look at the newer video in the video response section. That shows what seems to be an updated version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on the unreleased Galaxy Nexus smartphone.

@SmartKeitai is this for all android phone? and when it will be release in europe?
KiLLeRxxBuNNy 4 months ago
@KiLLeRxxBuNNy Not every phone. Google's Nexus devices will get it first, then other high-end phones will probably get it a couple months later. If your phone came out recently and has high-end specs, there's a good chance you'll get it. If not, then you could always root and load a custom ROM that has it (when developers get a hold of it). That takes some advanced knowledge though.

@SmartKeitai i have htc incredible s. Will it have?
KiLLeRxxBuNNy 4 months ago
@KiLLeRxxBuNNy It could probably run it, but I'm thinking HTC won't upgrade it because it launched with Froyo and already got an update to Gingerbread. They're likely only thinking about the Sensation and other dual-core phones they launched this year. You never know though.

@SmartKeitai HTC seem quite good with it, to be fair. Their Desire shipped with 2.1 and that's been upgraded to 2.4.

I'm really disappointed...android is probably never gonna be as smooth as iOS..
