  • 5:35 When did you guys get a weiner dog?

  • @sohcneondriver

I didn't, that is Chester... I would never by a hotdog.

  • @CTDpower07 Why is Chester at your house and when did he get skinny?

  • @sohcneondriver

Kelli's parents are here, they followed us back out to CO from IL... he went on a diet about a year ago because his back snapped and he couldn't use his back legs. He can walk now but not good.

  • O.K. here's the big question- We talked about having three layers when backpacking or whatever. Your first layer is what you have on your person in case you lose everything else. A survival bag like this would be your second layer in case just your main bag is lost. And I know your third layer is currently a large ALICE. So how does this bag fit into that system? Can you attach it to your ALICE pack?

  • @sohcneondriver

I have my knife and a maxpedition pocket organizer with a little bit of stuff on me. This bag is I guess my second layer. When I go out with the blackhawk SOF ruck I just throw this bag on top of my sleep stuff in the main compartment of the ruck.

  • I'm not sure I would want to carry much weight in it... I've actually heard that carrying a sling-style bag with ANY amount of weight on a regular basis can give you back problems. What do you think?

  • @sohcneondriver

You just have to have not such a girlie weak back... Seriously though, I think mine weighs about 15lbs, and I don't see a problem at all. Any heavier and it wouldn't be very comfortable, but I still don't think it would cause back problems. I have noticed that small adjustments in the sling length and where you position the bag on your back makes it drastically more or less comfortable. Maybe some people are just wearing them wrong?

  • If you wear it on the opposite side then when it swings around it will give you a left-hand draw for your weapon, right?

  • @sohcneondriver

    That is correct.

  • You're gonna lose that rubber thing on the end of the maglite. I used to carry mine in the holster they come with and I lost it that way.

  • @sohcneondriver

I only somewhat like that rubber thing anyway, haha...

  • Tell the camera man to hold still! lol

My cell phone was balancing in the chandalier above my table... I noticed it was swinging when I pressed the record button but figured it would slow down after a while, haha.
