  • I WANT MY PLECO TO BARK!!!

  • He is a good 14" and shares his 40 gal. tank with 4 corys and a large number of guppies. He loves his heavily planted tank as even tho he is one big fish he's created a private space where he can totally disappear from view.

  • @floralhilllhasas hi.i need help i am having 2 of them 1 has grown bigger then other...

i have uploaded video with name bling goldy fish if u have time give a look and tel me how they look and about my tank size...and i can feed them m using floating food...m having them from around 2-3 years...but what i think m not able to keep them happy

plzz advise me... what to feed or any thing...thank you... sory 4 poor English :)

    hope u will reply soon.

  • how big is he?

  • with the background noise it looks like ur fish is barking

  • What type pleco is that I think a common

  • wow, your pleco barks like a dog !!

  • nom nom nom nom nom

  • Woah! That pleco is massive! You're doing really well, 16 years old is very long! I imagine he must be like a little brother to you lol! :) Liked.

  • wow thats huge! my little otocinclus catfish are like specs of dust compared to this! haha

  • rip i lost my 4 year old pleco he was 8" long

  • @islandersarehot So sorry to hear that. The pleco in this video is still doing well at 16. And we have two others in another tank now 15 and 19 years young.

  • i remeber when i was a boy i saw one in tehe clear/greenish water about 4feet long and it was huge

  • but they eat the fry unknowingly when eating their food. mine ate lots of fry until i realized. they suck the fry when collecting food from the surface

  • imagine the fish making the barking sound

  • ma va a cacare è un cucciolo......

  • wow

  • Placo says, "Livin' the dream."

  • So it just sits there and waits for the fish to come into his mouth?

  • @Pop12646Okami Plecos don't eat other fish, unless it might be an accident where they are so small. They eat algae.

  • @MissElectricEyeliner Yeah, I know, but I had a four-inch plec that sucked the slime coat off of my goldie until it got sick and died :( Then it ate the goldfish remains.

  • @Pop12646Okami I read up about pleco recently, the reason why yours is doing that is because it is starving, I guess u hav to feed it with algae wafers if there isnt much algae in your tank for it to consume

  • @XDheee Actually, it ate both the algae in the tank, a cucumber slice, AND an algae wafer every day. I don't see how he went hungry.

  • @Pop12646Okami if tats the case, I have no idea =/ sry bro

  • its gota dog faCE

  • long ago i had one it grew a foot but then we gave him away we diidnt have a tank for his size ;(

  • lmaooo, i thought for some mysterious reason the plec was barking at the beginning...

  • is he barking?

  • i have two small common plecos and a rubber lipped pleco in a tank together and they all seem to get along quite fine for now but one of the common plecos is starting to get big. i bought him at 2 and a half inches and in the last six months he has gotten to be about 5 and a half inches. should i put him in a tank without other plecos or can i wait a little longer. so far no fights.

  • Holy crap, that's a big placo! Mine is quite small... maybe 4 inches long XP

  • i love my pleco but hes way too shy so you never see him... i keep him in the tank with even my bettas and there is no problem

  • @kklove526 This pleco was always sociable. When he was a youngster (and much smaller) he used to turn upsidedown to eat with the guppies out of the feeding ring floating on the top.

  • @floralhilllhasas I had one that used to do that! From the day I got him til the day he died( roughly 12 years) he always ate with the rest of the fish from the top of the tank. It was so cute :) Miss him... :(

  • @floralhilllhasas awww so cute

  • This is so creepy that it's hilarious.

  • He's Definitely gonna eat the fry swimming in the back

  • what an epic life

  • Wtf was that grinding noise in the back?

  • Oh my....did you put a small dog in there? That thing is HUGE!

  • my gosh i love that pleco i hav a large one too and its fun to get a big one and brag a bit

  • Is it true that a Pleco will fight back instead of swimming away when being attacked by another fish?

  • Some Plecos like assorted vegetables. Mine is quite satisfied with sinking algae wafers and the ocassional slice of fresh zucchini.

  • Can they eAt grapes

  • @dylan2771 yes

  • He never bothers any of the other fish. He is an algae eater and does an excellent job of keeping the aquarium glass clean. I never ever have to clean algae off of the glass as long as I have a pleco in my tank.

  • Thats amazing the way it dosent just eat all the little fish swimming around cuz mine ate most of the aquarium fish.

  • Lol what's with all the baby fry swimming around him lol won't he eat them ?

  • in perfect conditions, up to 25-30yrs

  • Are there fry in there????? if so what are they

  • @factfreak411

The tiny fish are baby guppies.

  • @floralhilllhasas of course

  • What iz it trying to tell us?!

  • 0:42 i thought it barked.... scared me

  • I love plecos the are so cool

  • ah man thats a sexy fish :) cant wait till i get mine in with my oscars :D he has to grow a bit first haha

  • mine is 3 or 4 months and a little over 6 inches big in a 29 gallon aquarium

  • I bought a pleco at 1 inch long. Now, he's 9 inches and happily living in a 29 gallon aquarium.

  • I bought this Pleco as a baby, about 2" long. He is now close to 14" and lives in a 40 gallon tank. I have another Pleco that is 17 years old, but not quite as large as the one in the video. I wonder just how long they do live?

  • @floralhilllhasas I think it's like 20 years in a clean tank and good food source.

  • @floralhilllhasas they live in average about 12-13 years, haveng a 17 year old pleco its really cool!

    =D

  • @floralhilllhasas how long is this guy? 2 meters? O.o

  • @floralhilllhasas they live 20+ years

  • @floralhilllhasas they live 20+ years

  • @floralhilllhasas Propably Pterygoplichthys multiradiatus or Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus. Common sailfin pleco or vermiculated sailfin pleco. I would say that I am quite sure "he is he" :) ...male. Within these species you can tell it by male's rounder and bigger head, following large hump around dorsal fin. Females are flatter. Confusing factor is, that some pleco's have this quite opposite. In good conditions these are said to easily reach age of 20, and some reached 30!!

  • 14 yrs old! DAYUM! that's awesome! how big is it? what size tank do u have it in? i've had my big guy for maybe 8 months now and he's already about 9"...

  • thats awesome, can you post a vid where's he's moving or in relation to the tank size to see his overall size?
