Would it have been so incredibly difficult to take an unfinished stone and SHOW us step by step how to make something, instead of pointing at half finished work and some effing crutches and droning on and on?
Hello again Jim Joe from Austin, wanted to ask a couple of questions. first; how much radius do you need on a copper bopper. Second; have you ever done a vid where you explain the importance and a more detailed explanation of abrading i.e. how much, what angle, and how it affects plake removal. thanks,Joe
Hello Joe, I show how to make a bopper in my latest video: Flintknapping, beginner part 2 series. It shows the roundness of the bopper very clearly. I have other vids where I talk about platforms and abrading but its in various ones, hope this helps ya....jim
Hello jim M yname is Joe, i'm an archaeology student from Austin,Tx. i've been collecting artifacts for a long time and am interested in learning to make repro's as I think it might increase my insight into aboriginal lifewaysI just started watching your videos about 2 weeks ago
Hey! I remember you i just saw you yesterday at new buffalo SHIP "N" SHORE 2009 remember me i was WITH the kid who slipped on roller blades "You also let me have a rock out of your bin" YOU ROCK BRO!
My husband showed me your videos and my first thought about how the core was held was that they used the thigh bone of large animals. Perfect for that use since its hollow after they would use the marrow and moistness and pliability of the bone would help hold the work steady. Have you tried that? if you do let us know the results. Just food for thought.....no pun intended...
