  • what a poor bread...

  • Just buy .999 Fine Copper problem solved I just buy bars.

  • @SuburbanShinobi8000 a 1k is like 28.00 dollors right now.... shit... Sliver and Copper am Pissing Off the Banker new world order thugs.

  • You've got a lot of spit in your mouth.

  • Can you run for office?

  • Do You Spit All Over Your Girl Friend When You Talk To Her?

  • Juicy speaker

  • I don't get it, if you can't melt it how do you make money?

  • @joebyu It's an investment. Some people online are willing to but pennies on ebay for either, again, further investment or to be melted down into bullion.

Theoretically , as the author states, the value of copper might go up, it might go down, it might crash......or it might skyrocket. It's a gamble. The possibility being to spend one cent on something in the future might be worth 4 or 5 cents generating a large profit on the investment.

  • @FortNikitaBullion But what about the (copper) coins and bars being sold by Provident Metals well over spot value? Are people stupid for buying these? Some folks here on YouTube are saying that if we do go into a DEEP depression and if FIAT money becomes worthless... this will make copper become the peoples currency (along with solver and gold of course). What is your opinion? And please explain why people are buying copper bars and coins so far above the spot price. Is this crazy?

  • @FortNikitaBullion Can you please do a video on my question? Thanks!!

  • @2012UFOTruthSeeker The premium on copper bars is much too high. For the same reason, it would be impossible for a copper currency to be made ad-hoc to be used; it takes far too many billions of coins to be made with the same press (like in the US mint) before the costs are averaged out enough for the premium to approach that of silver and gold. If you want to buy copper and not sort them yourself, I would recommend buying common-date wheat cents for 3 or so cents each.

  • @FortNikitaBullion Wow, excellent insight. Thanks so much for your response on this matter. Awesome!!

  • Silver is a great energy componet as well, and is used in solar panels..

  • @RiseDemUp Do you know how much silver is actually used in solar panels?!?! Look it up

  • how does this guys voice match his face?

  • Gerald Celente says we are about to enter the Greatest Depression. Lindsey Williams says the dollar will collapse by the end of next year. With regular inflation and economic growth of the past ten years, the value of copper rises. Since copper is not a precious metal, but an industrial metal, the value of copper depends on industry. Look at 2008. With a stock market crash comes a sharp decline in the price of copper. I think the coming years will be a rude awakening for copper penny hoarders.

  • @jewexcited I'd still much rather have copper than paper dollars. And just because the dollar has crashed doesn't mean the world won't need industry. And even silver and gold crashed in 2008.

  • @FortNikitaBullion You are right, silver and gold crashed in 2008, but JP Morgan and HSBC are suppressing the price of gold and silver on purpose. However, JP Morgan and HSBC will crash with the global financial armageddon that is coming soon, and then the price of gold and silver, being free market again, will go up 10 or 100 times. Yes - $17000 or $170,000 per ounce gold and $500 to $5000 or more per ounce silver.

  • @FortNikitaBullion After the financial armageddon, there will be industry, but 99% of the value of all currency, stocks, real estate, and 99% of all jobs will be lost. I don't know if the copper in a penny will then be more or less than one cent, but I know that gold will be 100 times more than it is today.

  • Engrish preez

  • Hey dude, you know about copper & silver coin hunting so can you explain this to me? A pre-65 us 90% silver dime is currently worth about $2.50 cents (11/11/04). 10 copper pennies would buy you that dime in 1964 dollars. 10 copper pennies are not currently worth anything near $2.50, they are only worth about .23 cents so copper is currently devalued & should go up again to its historical ratio with silver? What do you think??

  • u make good sense except your cimment abiut indusyrial nations not needing silver, silver is in every cellphone,it has 1000s of industrial, medical applicationsa

  • Hey I thought the fed stopped publishing m3 stats

  • is the light really bright bro?

  • Copper cents not new zinc/tin ones

  • How much copper do I have buy to get teh effect of when it goes up a penny it equals one dollar

ex sample when you buy 100 oz's of silver and if silver raises only one dollars it is you earned 100 dollars.

How much copper you have to buy to have that same effect?

  • Good video, but silver is also primarily an industrial metal. Many high tech electronics need silver. This is a somewhat recent development (20-30 years) and the supply of silver is quickly shrinking to the point where it is now more rare than gold.

  • Have you found a machine that accurately sorts SILVER dimes from regular dimes? I want the speed of a RyeDale machine that sorts 5 coins a second (copper cents from zinc pennies), but made specifically for dimes and silver dimes.

  • @humanitarianguyana Where do you find silver dimes in circulation? I've given up on searching them long ago.

  • @FortNikitaBullion We get copper cents in $50.00 bags by the pallet. Each pallet has $4,000.00 of pennies on it. In the bags I have found hundreds of dimes, foreign coin, etc.... and amazingly enough several silver dimes. I know they are out there still. I bought 4 boxes of dimes.... and only found one out of the 10,000 coins. That was lame. But I find a whole lot more silver dimes in "Penny Bags". I think that the Bank machines, some of them, must place silver dimes in penny bags.

  • @FortNikitaBullion WE should start a fan page to get you ont he Big Bang Theory.

  • @FortNikitaBullion if you subscribe to me I can give you the answer to making around 100$ a day in silver

  • @humanitarianguyana Coinstar machines spit out silver coins. I wonder how long these guys will keep doing that!

  • I have no idea how old this human is, since his face is smoother than a baby's ass, but one thing I do know is that his cock has never been moistened by an females fluids if you catch my drift... : P

  • Hey Andrew, what do you think about those Walking LIberty 1 ounce copper coins that are springing up all over the place. Are these copper coins legit with the Walking LIberty, and Morgan designs? Thanks.

  • @sandgody Those copper American Eagles are a huge rip off. Remember that copper is only worth $4 a pound, and they are selling little ounce rounds. Plus if you want to hold copper you want oxygen-free industrial copper, not pennies or coins.

There is zero reason to hold copper though. Save up your money and buy gold American Eagles, they make 1oz, 1/4oz and 1/10 oz gold Eagles.

It looks like we may be on the verge of a depression which would destroy copper prices, but gold holds up well.

  • Thanks Andrew!

  • Is it meor is this guy creepy as hell?

  • you should use some of those pennies to buy some batteries for the smoke detector that keeps beeping. Interesting video I got my pennies!

  • How about some more videos! we need more!!!!!!

    thanx

  • i missed the risks,,,,

  • Change the Battery in your Smoke Alarm before you make another video!!!

  • + to my previous comment. US federal fines and prison sentences are extremely rough if you get caught selling melted US coins for scrap prices. So why risk it. So, horde your copper coinage and sell it as-is to someone who wants to pay a higher price for the coinage and pass any risk on to them. PROFIT the LEGAL way ;) you're welcome.

  • Risks with this - You must melt down the copper coins to "get" the copper profits... But you should all know this is ILLEGAL. Period. Loophole? Not everyone knows that melting US and many other copper coins is illegal. So the loophole part you ask? SELL your COPPER pennies to those who are willing to take risk or simply want to invest. Right now, at current spot prices you will get roughly $2.50 profit PER POUND of copper pennies you sell... think about it. please dont thumb up this. its secret

  • i heard on mad money when homes rise so does copper get it now while the housing market is down

  • Wait a tic -- i didn't hear anything about risks!?

    Keep stackin folks!

  • ha lee, when u get 50 thou, who u going to sell um too?

  • I've watched some of these vids about pennies and I just don't get it! If all you are doing is investing in the metal content then it seems to me it would be better just to get some copper wire? I mean you can get it for free at constuction sites and demalition sites. Just ask for any scrap metal.

  • @zekehooper Yes, but it's terribly bulky, and not of any reasonable consistency. There's a reason they give it away. Not worth the time to go get it, if you ask me.

  • @FortNikitaBullion But, isn't there more copper in the wire than in a penny?

  • @FortNikitaBullion I'd take all the copper wire someone would give me.

I've even bought Romex to store for future building projects when I've found it for sale at a good price with respect to what I could buy it for otherwise.

I don't pass up on any free metal if I'm already somewhere they are giving it away.

    To each their own.

  • you have a point but if you ever need to buy something you would not be able to use the wire at a store. In other words the pennies are far more liquid. Easy to spend.

  • @frankiegmh That's true, but it just seems like alot of work for a little gain. What about saveing the 50 cent pieces instead? They have 75% copper, wouldn't that be better to save?

  • @zekehooper Copper cents reply back, Yes 50 cent pieces are better to hoard than copper pennies but you got to understand that it cost money to separate nickel from copper alloy.

  • @jjsaturn93 So, what you are saying is the copper cent are a more pure metal and doesn't cost as much to melt?

  • @zekehooper

Free copper scrap from construction or demo guys upon request? Are you serious?

  • @zekehooper Actually, they don't give it away. The price of copper is high, so they sell it. Hence why there are so many people going to jail for digging up copper wire and shit.

  • Although it is true that nickels are easier, the return is not as high. A nickel is worth about 7cents and you have to invest 5cents in each one, while a penny is worth 3 or more times it's initial cost depending on the price of copper fluctuations and you have invested a lot less in them initially, which is important for those on a small budget who still want some real money for security. I think nickels have their place but right now I am focusing on copper pennies.

  • Good for you for showing this. I have been getting $50 a week (two boxes) and finding only about 26% real copper with some being wheat pennies. my bank doesn't require rolling as they have a free change machine counter that customers can use. Do you think the price of copper is being artificially suppressed as the CFTC has recently admitted that Silver has been?

  • you got some wicked saliva!

  • @yobohobom Dude. screw the worthless paper, Metals is MONEY BABY!!!!

I looking at 10+ Tons of Copper Pennies (CP) in 2020!!!

    That's about $30,000 in CP.

  • BREAKING NEWS!!

Copper Pennies is over 3x it value TODAY.

    $4.61 per Pound.

  • @davidlee110

    Nice getting more!!!

I'm also owner of a site that will have its own Alternative Currency made out of copper. Coming soon!

  • I thought it was 147 per 1lb?

  • 60X?!? HaHa amusing, I think the price of copper will escalate to $8.50 per LB by 2016 following the "planned" energy shortage, however rapid declines will occur following the crash in 2017. Copper is on avg. about 15-20% more then the price of gallon at the pump. This trend has proven consistent over the past several years but even more with the Oil/Dow interface model since Feb. 2009 we now have in place. (I have videos on this.)

  • @yobohobom I am not sure, Heard theres a policy that stops the melting for profit stage, I am sitting on maybe 10lbs and I am very unsure of how to get the copper value out of them. Also not to go to jail and still walking away happy>?

  • with copper at new highs it may be a good idea to update this vid. Also keep in mind that U.S. nickels are 75% copper and 25% nickel as of today 01-02-11 nickels are 135% of face value! so go to the bank buy a 100.00 box of us nickels and walk out with $135.00 in metal! congress is working on changing the metal used to make nickels so get them while they are sill instant equity! I go to a casino that still uses nickels in slots and cash out 60-100 $ at a time. (feel like im ripping them off!)

  • CHING CHONG PING CHEOW ME!!

    HAHAHA! I love Chinese! They're so fun-n-cool.

  • I have in both pennies, and random and misc. scraps of copper and it adds up to

    1.37,3 Kilos...

I hope you're right about this and that copper will increase in price, it sounds believable.

Had i not stumbled upon this video, i had surely just thrown it away.

Btw, is there a potential noticable increace in gold aswell? Circutboards are good supplies of gold.

  • 7500 Cu Cents and counting!

  • By 2020 we are looking for $ 60.00 a pound copper.

Take todays price at 2011 and caculate 9 more years and you can see that a fortune can be made in copper.

COPPER IS THE NEXT BIG PLAY !

  • @RETIREMESOON that's nearly 40x face. Wow. I almost feel guilty now that I haven't been nearly as obsessed with copper recently, right now going through a few other things in life.

  • @FortNikitaBullion its easy, look at your cents at home, at work, swap zincs from your own stack to the draw at work when you find copper.

  • @RETIREMESOON

If there is world by then!

  • @treasurefindermd WORRY NOT there will always be a world, except for December 21 st ....2012 and then we will be on our merry way again :0)

And there will always be a new place to invest. 1968 Real estate....1976 Gold........1996 dot com........2002 Gold......2015 Copper.........2430 Space ships

  • @RETIREMESOON he's right...copper just went up

  • Comment removed

  • @RETIREMESOON

Acquire 5034 Pounds or 384 boxes of 95% copper pennies (sorting 1152 boxes). This is an inital investment of $9600.00 in face value. This will give you $22,402.00 in copper value as of today 2-22-11. If copper goes to $60.00 per pound your $9600.00 investment will turn into $302,054.40 in copper value. I can't think of a better investment on the planet with 30 Times return in the future. All you have to do is make a plan to sort store then eventually sell them all in bulk.

  • I enjoy your videos!

  • When silver prices explode copper will be the next best precious metal for people to store their wealth in. rememeber when paper money fails you got nothing but if you got gold, silver and copper you got something for REAL value.

  • You can pause this video anywhere between :01 - 2:46 and it looks like he is in pure agony. LOL. Great information.

  • Very informative video. Thank you.

  • opps made a mistake, Ag. use to be 6$/oz. now 24-24$/oz .not /lb.

Cu is dead weight.1980 Au and Ag reached 680$ and 50$/oz. Ag is poor man's gold and using same ratios of 1500 Au silver should reach 110$/oz others predicting 180/oz. there will be a rush on the limited supplies of silver if US$ goes way of fiat 1922 German mark.

  • who has the time to sort, count for rolls of 50,storage and it gets to be pretty HEAVY with time. you could end up getting buried with it.its dead weight and harder to dispose of particularly when one gets older and things get a little harder to move in comparison to when one was young.Gold and junk silver coins are much better bets with much, much less weight. silver use to be 6$/lb about 3-4 years. have been accumulating junk silver over time(its now 24-25$/lb) and its a hell of lot lighter.GL

  • Right on!

  • I agree with coppers industrial potential but you made a BIG mistake saying that silver has no industrial use. On the contrary young man, silver is the king of industrial metals & it also serves as money, If you didn't know about silvers industrial uses, think about the uses every time you turn on a light, use your computer, talking to friends/family w/ cell phone. enjoying a glass of purified water, whenever you need an antibiotic PLUS HUNDREDS of other uses that copper cannot come close to

  • @yobohobom sell them on ebay

  • I plan on hoarding for many years to come and then see where the price of copper is in the future. I believe this guy when he says "the price can only go up" Keep up the great work and informational videos!!! :)

  • As of April 5, 2010, the value of the metal in a nickel is $0.06015744, 23.14% more than its face value

  • Precious metals are also fairly important in industry.

  • What do you mean what to do now? Now you have REAL currency instead of paper. Keep up the good work!

  • it seems like you would have to hold ALOT of copper to invest in it..where would I store 10,000 LBS of copper. That would take up my whole bedroom! Just doesnt seem realisticly feasable to me. That -- and living in canada our pennies have hardly any copper in them. Thats why I prefer Silver. It's for the centrist of metals collectors. Still just out of the lime light as of now, yet compact enough to realisticly invest in. I could carry 15k worth of silver in a backpack if I had to.

  • @bluehorse888 If you have tens of thousands or more to invest, then maybe copper isn't right. It's just about right for me as a PhD student. Also, I think in Canada, pennies before 1996 were 97% copper. I also recently bought a number of large British copper coins (about the size of half-dollars) for 10 cents each, also a good deal on copper.

  • @FortNikitaBullion

Fair enough, but we need to consider that your time is worth money too -- especially if you're investing it. How long would it take you to sort through all those pennies vs investing that time into a job in which the dividends could be reinvested?

  • @FortNikitaBullion The Canadian government stopped making copper pennies in 1982. I've been collecting copper coins (both Canadain and U.S.) for over 20 years.

I have over 60 dollars worth and they weigh a ton.

  • @42959

Actuallly Canadian pennies were 98% copper to 1996, just varying weights, ie to 1979 (3.2 g), 1980-81 (2.8 g), then 1982-96 (2.5 g). All are worth more than 1 cent. Current ones are either copper plated steel or copper plated zinc.

  • @FortNikitaBullion The Canadian government stopped making copper pennies in 1982. I've been collecting copper coins (both Canadain and U.S.) for over 20 years.

I have over 60 dollars worth and they weigh a ton.

  • @FortNikitaBullion why if you have tens of thousands is copper not the right investment? where would you invest if you had tens of thousands of dollars , cant you buy copper stocks?

  • @bluehorse888 how many boxes?

  • @bluehorse888 In canada we are actually better off, our mint stopped using copper pennies in 1996. The US stopped copper pennies in 1982

  • @bluehorse888 In canada we are actually better off, our mint stopped using copper pennies in 1996. The US stopped copper pennies in 1982

  • @bluehorse888 10,000 lbs of copper fits in the volume of a mini fridge, its 560 lbs per cubic foot. Your canadian copper cents actually have more copper than our US copper cents, the difference is canada's economy is slightly less F*$#(*ed up

  • Excelent video and information. Now, i have a question. Are te cupro-nickel coins a good investment? In my country we don't have pure copper coins. SHould i hoard our $100 pesos coins, that have a 92% Copper, 6% Aluminium and 2% of nickel? By the way, the coin weighs 5,31 gr. Thanks for the advice!

  • Yes, that is a common response to hoarding copper cents. There are several reasons I dislike the nickel. First, they contain both copper and nickel. Currently, the 5 cent metal value of the coin assumes both copper and nickel can be recovered from the coin at low overhead. Also, you get so few nickels for your money. Try it: you can carry $1,000 worth of nickels in a backpack if you wanted to, but good luck even dragging $1,000 worth of pennies. Nickels also rarely turn up unusual coins.

  • You are the Jason Hommel of copper.

  • @artdeco101010 I do indeed follow Jason Hommel. Thanks.

  • good info

  • Do you think there will be a point where the melting of copper on a civilian level will be legalized?

  • Legal or not, copper cents will have their market as their face value is devalued more and more. Junk silver proves that coins do not have to be melted to have market value. Metals are money.

  • Once again, an excellent point. I'll most definitely keep in touch, you're got a lot of valuable information. Thanks so much.

Are there any types of coins that you collect for pleasure? I like Russian coins and a few U.S. issues as well.

  • @blackesteyes13 Not especially, but I am working on a full set of V nickels, as it is relatively short and affordable in low grades (VG-F). I could afford higher grades, but I think I'll devote my money into bullion at the moment. I already have a full set of Lincoln Memorial cents (put together all from circulation over the years!) They are nice things to display, as few people (especially my age) understand bullion or foreign currency investments.

  • Hello Andrew.

Great analysis and I love the inflation adjusted price.

I've got a friend with 8 tons of copper cents. If we only got half way to 22lb someday, this hoard would be worth $176,000

Ok shameless plug time, Speed up your sorting with a Ryedale sorter.

  • I have heard about Ryedale. The reason I haven't invested in such a machine is that I still like to check the pennies for rare years and wheat cents. Granted, in the long run it may be better just to hoard as many pennies as I can without worrying about rare dates, but I don't have a lot of money to invest.

  • I agree with your analysis, though it's a felony to melt pennies for copper bullion, that's a pretty big risk you fail to mention. You're right though, each copper penny is worth 21/2 cents of copper, so you could in theory more than double your money simply by buying pennies and melting them, which is why it's illegal, and why they switched to zinc. People tend not to melt junk silver because it's a large enough denomination, that they don't need to, so it's not illegal, YET.

  • Correct, but copper cents have value beyond just melting. People trade junk silver at its true value without any need for melting. And the government can't sustain having untold millions of tons of copper tied up in worhless currency.

  • Great analysis! For a day-to-day metal valuation of US and Canadian coins (including copper and also zinc cents), a great resource is Coinflation (dot com). Last I checked, a US copper cent contained .02+ in copper.

It's certainly a great way to get your hands on a solid metal asset if you can't afford to buy precious metals. The only downside I see is that copper is heavy and bulky, relative to value. But copper cents may become the new "junk silver" in years to come. =^[.]^=

  • Definitely. I even call it "Junk Copper" myself.
