  • 9:49 of watching a man cry

  • Comment removed

  • Talk about an emotional roller coaster.

  • Nice going Canada, The man is starving and you guys wont let him eat a moose? Hes freakin crying on TV for gods sakes. Your wilderness has nothing to eat. He should have filmed this in America where theres tons of stuff to shoot and eat.

  • Oh come on big boy... stop crying and go kill something

  • he only needed that rations cuz he dint kill the calibu.if he wasn't recording i'm sure he would have killed it.

  • to occupy his mind he should have rebuilt his shelter, tried to improve his bushcrafting skills(making cordage, nets , traps, carving....etc), kept a detailed journal(I think he was doing this)

As far as his performance in this experience, I would rate him 6/10, he definitely needed more skill but he did OK to last for as long as he did and not die.

  • Ed is no Les Stroud or Bear Gryills...obviously he doesn't have their skills, but geez you have to give the bloke 10 out of frickin 10 for what he did...that takes guts and determination to live out there...frickin hats off to him I say...its a tremendous education that he has shared with us, to show how tough life can be out there.....

  • i'm not buying this show, he knows he will not starve he has the emergency GPS signaling device. If he pushes it they come right to him. Also on the very first episode he was crying within the first week when he still had plenty of food and if you can't be by yourself for one week with out breaking down, there is something else wrong with you.

  • Solitude is highly phsycological. "Cabin Fever syndrom" Everyone gets it.

Solitude has caused suicidal tendencies. It's serious stuff.

Very few can endure this kind of torture. The rest are lies and bull shit.

Not so bad if you have a cabin structure, but this way is very hard to impossible.

Poor Ed, I wish I could have warned you.

  • One of the greatest issues of being alone in the wilderness is the need for a goal. He has done save being there. It would be better if you combined this with a trip out of the wilderness and thus a daily goal.

  • they shoulda dropped off some bipolar medicing too immm soo highhhh aaaaahahaha

  • wtach this wen you high as fuck lmao

  • all this dude does is fuckin cry all day?

  • Wimp.

  • @Rainasainzmann Yea go out there and see what happens jackoff. Kill yourself you heartless soulless bastard. The world would be better off.

  • This guy should eat the supplies get himself strong again, go back to the previous camp, and live on the fish etc. very simple farken

  • OK, this crying about family. Yes its annoying. But thats how it is. I want you to imagine that you cannot talk to any of your family for 1 season, then imagine that you arent imagining it. Kinda force a reality of it onto yourself. It's a very depressing thought. "yeah well, hes still a pussy" and your a cold hearted fucker, whats your point? least he has the balls to show himself crying unlike some internet tough guys.

  • @kaldicuct I agree. I pretty much said something similar in the comments a few episodes ago. Also---I think a lot of the people talking crap about Wardle would be crying if they just lost their cell-phones for a week.

  • I was Married for three years and I understand his isolation and despair...oh yeah, and hunger!

  • You need to be "goal oriented"in this type of situation....If you sit around , doing nothing but thinking your in serious trouble,,,PS Ive spent many times away from civilization and I am a buddhist, meditation does work, lamas spend years alone...

  • @HopiTrails1 I agree with your comment. I think he could of spent alot of time thinking about other things to do like building a stronger camp or shelter or something. I think this guy should of came better prepared.

  • Jesus Les Stroud went to the North Woods and lived for a year with his eife and only got one food drop. I don't ever remember seeing him cry. Turn off the camera and kill the fucking moose or eat the shit they sent you. You cna't consider it a fail if you ate hamstringed by authorities that won't let you kill what you need to survive.

  • @MadMatt105 I dont think you can compare any normal inexperienced person to les stroud hes very experienced. But I agree with the whole turn the camera off and shoot the elk or what ever it was.

  • it like you lock yourself up in with one people to talk to. your mind start to go crazy. You must master the will to live or you going to dye.

  • You're a bad ass.

  • the "hardest" trip i have ever made was cycling the archipelago of turku, finland. it took week and a half to make it. we were short of food cuz there simply was no places to eat or any kind of shops. it is nothing to compare with this shit, this looks absolutely tragic. the loneliness and hunger must have been tough.

  • minute 6:09 - 6:13 lmaooooo

  • i think that sound at 3:30 was the sound of him swallowing his pride.

  • is this a survival video or a romantic comedy like jeeze every 6 seconds he is crying

  • so lucky i have nobody to give a shit about, that must really do his head in. only way to live on your own is if you're on your own. his girlfriend will leave one day, my waterfall will always be waiting for me.

  • I'm assuming this same problem exists in the US.

Here in Canada, we have certain animals that are labelled as pests.

They can be hunted year round.

Wild boar is one. They were brought in by well intentioned farmers and then got loose.

If you're a land owner, and you are in a problem area, you are legally obligated to kill the animals. Or the govt will do it, and you will pay for it. I personally think they taste really good. Gamey bacon. ( :

  • I agree with the "living off the land" comments about taking only what you need.

Unfortunately, that's not the way a lot of hunters operate Without the present game laws, even as big as Canada is, uncontrolled hunting would have a serious effect on the wildlife here. The old saying, give a person an inch and they will take a mile, rings true.

  • That comment below about "meese" had me laughing for awhile... ( :

Here in Canada, the Game Wardens can be pretty anal retentive.

If you get caught hunting out of season, or have a fish the wrong size, say good bye to your gear, your truck, boat, whatever you have at the time. You get it back when you pay a fine, but you also have to pay for the towing. You don't want to piss those guys off.

That said. If you're in a true survival situation, you can kill whatever you can to survive.

  • i cant get over some of the comments on here. Why dont you mommas boys get off COD and all your mtv bullshit and check out the REALWORLD. caz this shit s real.

  • What a punk! he wants to show us how much he's crying...I wanted to see what food they air dropped in!..Dang man

  • @mariokra lol your the punk bud. lets see you get out there and do this. it isent fuckin easy when your alone.

  • You are emotional like a woman, but, man ... I hear you! I am with you! I am very stoned and you are for real!!

  • I'm an adventurer myself and last year the best possible thing happened to me : I failed.

Since then, when I prepare for an adventure, I don't put any pressure on myself, even though my expeditions are getting harder. I'm not going there to win : there is nothing to win. The moment you reach the north pole, ice as drifted already, and you're not on it anymore.

Now I go there to live and learn.

    It's the only goal.

    Everything else is decoration.

  • I consider the food to be a quarter what the meese would have provided.....Soooo in turn he really did not ask for shit that he could not have gotten himself. RETARDED FUCKING LAWS

  • Thats a crock of shit if you are living off the land suriviving in the wild etc. and can prove it via video recordings you should be exempt from retarded hunting laws and he would have had plenty of food

  • I notice some people are getting a little too upset about the Know-it-alls in the comment section.

Don't get angry. That only eats away at you.

    Instead, call them out.

Ask for their experience. Ask for a link to their survival Youtube video.

Get them to explain what they know, or don't know....

The best thing to say to a know it all?

Show me. Explain it to me.

Once, I was the poster child for anger management.

Then I was shown, that I was only hurting myself.

  • @excanmil13 could not agree more!

  • im so sorry if i was rich i would give you 1 million bucks :(

  • There's a big difference... between taking this as a challenge and as a passion. If he had enjoyed this trip instead of killing the time, it could've been better for him. But I gotta admit, he has courage!

  • your not a failure. in a survival situation u take what you get like the food they dropped for you. thats not failure

  • food is a priority . he s lost alot of weight and started to loose his cool . it shows that you have to be mobile and well prepared in the wilderness

  • well...this is really tough....to be alone

  • so far this is like blair witch meets a scottish, attention needy, crying version of les...sorry to say the nomadic huimans that didnt live in clustered island cities, didnt pass up a moose or an elk, knowing it would sustain them that 2 weeks..there aint no laws but survival

  • FFS stop fucking crying!

  • this is awesome...thanks for uploading.

  • This is quite boring! The fact that he cant hunt and kill caribou or moose seems the main theme and that he should be hungry all the time. No food, no survival! He think too much of home too, In the real survival scenario, the will to survive have to be very strong and he lacks this part. I guess..the whole thing is about mentality and psychological behaviour when alone.

  • stop crying man be cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nothing wrong with what he did. If I was him, I would have done the same thing, except at my first or second sighting of big game, said "F the rules" and gotten my strength up with some protein-packed meat.

He could have just turned the camera off at that particular...ahem, scavenging excursion.

  • He should have learned to commune with the spirits the native way. His friends the fly agaric mushrooms would have introduced him to some.

  • this guy survived for 50 freaking days

most people wouldve died by day 4

and remember if this guy could kill animals he would be able to make and remember, those guys on tv survivor man and that sstuff only stay for a week

chuck norris any got shit on this guy

  • Comment removed

  • He shouldn't be so hard on himself... If he were allowed to kill the Moose, it would be a different story. Well done, sir.

  • @missingAtlantis I completely agree. If he had that moose his food problem would be gone. Trying to survive on small game and fish alone is tying a hand behind your back.

  • @missingAtlantis I agree. I've been thinking the same thing the whole show.

  • @missingAtlantis he was a big fat sniveling baby.

  • @missingAtlantis moose and caribou so yea he was set for at least 2 months

  • survival comes before rules of law... If this was a real survival then shooting what ever you see or need in order to survive is in order... If you have the means and the big game... shoot eat survive is the name of the game! this t.v. production is not showing the real way to survive in my opinion you poor fella i feel for you brotha

  • How the heck did the production team knew that his heart rate was 28bpm if he never made contact with them? OMG...

  • @omegotrd he had a radio, and call in when his heart rate was too low, then they drop the foods

  • Failed with two guns a fishing pole and a village worth of equipment.

  • Oh, so he failed.

  • This man is amazing!!! One of my Hero's

  • I am sincerely grateful to him, for showing me what a nasty view it is when a man is crying. It hope it will give me strength not to cry in front of my wife and my children.

  • @brotherboy77

So you want your children see just the beautifull side of the world and not the ugly side of it? Dont do it to your children.

  • Acting like a baby doesn't make you a man.....

  • @brotherboy77 saying shit about someone who is more of a man dont make you a man, it makes you a little pussy who says stuff over the internet because no one can beat the living shit out of you, your just saying things, why dont you got out there, live by YOUR self, and FUCKING FILM IT! i would really like to see you dead in a week you worthless piece of shit!!!

  • Why doesn't he try fishing or hunting instead of crying all the day?

  • @brotherboy77 yea like wat andre the giant did huh

  • I know, men cry too...but this guy is starting to cry too much by now. It won't do him

any good, what he needs to do is plan his next move: carry on or go home.

It's really hard out there, no question about it !

  • I like watching it and understand, that the show is about an urban person doing this. but even so his self-sorry mood and crying did come to a boring point now..he really takes to long to learn and try harder and put a lot of effort in it every day. 6 weeks and he never built a decent shelter to protect him and his fire from weather. he is not able to adapt. how many people, including me, would do a lot for a chance to do this and even sponsored by tv company.

  • NOOOOOOO!!!! HE HAS TO MAKE IT!!!!!

Btw. Is there an episode S1E4?

  • lol that dude just crying for show, that dudes stack got fishing poll shotgun rifle and so on, should of ate a bear

  • Emo Survivalism unleashed.

  • This man is the truth, respect!

  • @peteware1 what you think you can do a better job ?? then prove it jerkoff

  • Im pretty sure half u bitches would of called in the first few hours or days. how bout u starve and be alone for 1 1/2 months with no fucking a/c or heater or video games freinds family. stop talking shit unless u did this before.

  • @residentevil40x02 while i agree with you overall, i gotta ask. "or else what? What are you gonna do?" write a hurtful letter?.... yeah thatll work.

  • Anyone who has anything negative to say has no clue what its like to be alone. You people are so ignorant thinking you'd be mentally stable. I got lost for 4 hours in canyonland and was a mess.

  • Good lord, what a mental basket case. Get busy and build a log cabin or a better shelter. Anything to stay busy and keep your mind clear. This is definitely the wrong person for the job. I wonder how much whining and crying went on when he went up Everest?

  • If it was a "Real" situation, how many Caribu or Moose he could have shot? He did the best he could within the legal rules.

  • I don't mind a few tears, but, Jesus Christ! All this guy does is cry! suck it up. This is embarrassing to watch

  • He feels like a failure for having the food delivered but truth is he would of had more than that if he would of shot that moose... so fair trade :)

  • Living out in the wild is a challenge but doing it when you've got loved ones to miss is the hardest thing of all. Personally he's more of a man than all of you self delusional macho boy's criticizing him here... He's not showing himself to be a sissy but rather a man with a good heart that truly loves his family and for that he has more respect from ppl here than you'll garner from now till the day you die... no go on and continue making fools of yourselves

  • all you couch potatoe wannabes out there that think you can do better than him then prove it. go out there anywhere and see how long you can stay before giving up. i bet you wont even try. or if you do you will go a weekend and say this aint shit then come home cause you miss the point. anyone can do a couple days but he went 50. ive personaly gone almost 2 weeks & i will be going longer soon. dont say you cant afford it either because its free, all you have to do is just go.

  • This guy seriously unstable. I think he's bipolar.

  • What a freaking BABY! STOP CRYING! OMG! Your a MAN. NOT a 7 year old girl. jeese

  • grow up

  • IS THIS IT?????

  • Pussy

  • cat tails at 1:46. this guy has more food around him than he knows.

  • @bubber25 wrong

  • man these people commenting behind their computers in a warm and comfy home ... YOU try to live on your fucking own for 3 months and see what happens. You think like "ooh i feel good now, i can make a home in a forrest and live there and catch animals around me and eat them and i will survive" . Well, no; that's what Ed thought when he first came in the woods there..

  • i bet he actually did call someone.

  • hes such a pussy. quit winging.

  • I don't fault this guy at all for being emotional, or for failing to feed himself for that matter. Most of us have no idea what this would be like, trying to survive for this long. The problem is, it doesn't make for very interesting television after the first half hour of watching him cry and lose it. I am up to this episode and nothing has really happened. Maybe true wilderness survival is a series of tedius boredom.

  • Les stroud should have done something like this. I am sure he would have been better prepared with his surroundings and being able to feed off the land better.

  • OMG This guy is a mental weakling. He makes me proud to be American.... Gonzo Brooklyn NY

  • @gonzosierra lol you are such a douche bag and you don't even know it. fuck up.

  • Nice try but he failed. All he had to do was build something. Like a hut or a small cabin. I did two months

on wolf island on the coast of Texas. Never came close

to going titty baby bo ho. Food was easy but getting fresh water was a bitch. He's crying because he knows

his hottie girlfriend is bangin someone else.

  • Pussy gave up and had food delivered.

I bet his pulse rate wasn't even that low.

  • @narutoforever543 Its easy talking shit behind ur computer, isent it?

  • @narutoforever543 This coming from someone named "narutoforever543". Nice.

  • @narutoforever543 i bet u die in 2 days witouth internet you fool

  • if he can take such a good shot of the goose taking flight. he should get his bloody rifle out and have some dinner!!!!!

  • Just my opinion, but getting the food is in NO WAY a failure of this guy's efforts. If he were allowed to hunt those moose or caribou, then it would be the equivilent of the extra food he received. He wouldn't have had to get the "free food" if he were allowed to hunt without restriction.

  • this guy = massive ballz of steel

  • I'll take my hat off to you mate! I've done stints of 1 or 2 mths out bush at any one time out in the Paddocks. but i had tucker with me or game was'nt a problem.. but in your case your out there with out really knowing what to hunt or not aloud to hunt some game that come along and what bush tucker is about for you.. Yes! servival is 90% mental but it's easy to say it from behind a Screen on the other sided of the Planet.. unless you have some kind of understanding of what his going through..

  • It is pretty obvious that this man should not go camping alone

  • why the hell torture yourself like that? just go home, man, it's not worth it if it ends up driving you nuts.

  • @sauxenoy People like you will never fulfill your dreams and goals. This man in video had a boyhood dream, what he dared to make true. He dared to take on this challenge what only the most daring people would accept. He isn't torturing himself. He tries to get to the limits.

  • @lilmb94 Define "people like me", please. And since you know what kind of a person I am, maybe you can enlighten me about my dreams and goals, because I'm going through some rather confusing times in my life right now. Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated.

  • @lilmb94 you know what, forget it. I just saw now that you are 16. Good luck to you, kid. May all your dreams and goals come true.

  • @sauxenoy 'People like you' - people who don't believe in others AND themselves.

My age has nothing to with this, grandpa.

And thanks, may all your dreams come true, too.

He (Ed Wardle) believed in his strentgh and made his dream come true.

How many people do actually make their dreams come true?

I truly would take my hat off in front of this man.

Yeah, maybe he didn't finish his adventure completely but he did what he wanted.

  • @sauxenoy you just dont get it man leave it and stop proving what a small narrow minded person you are go order another latte from starbucks and get back to your couch

  • hmm he hasn't been setting traps or fish recently - just seems to cry a lot. Look under fallen logs man, grubs are just waiting for ya.

  • yep after part 4 he has truly gone insane

  • screw laws. shoot the moose. laws don't mean shit out there.

  • chuck norris doesnt have shit on this guy

  • @hurleyOC but andre the giant does

  • @hurleyOC enough with the fuckin chuck norris shit, it' old hat

  • I dont agree with him, that he cant survive... he had the opportunity to kill large game earlier but law prevented him. so i believe he would be able to survive if hejust said screw the law... and went homer on the moose..

  • @storestyggesvendsens I doubt he'd even know what to do if he had killed the moose

  • @MrNomad81 the same he did with the other animals... get rid of intestines fast, skin it. and then cut it out in limbs. dry the them and smoke them.

  • They should have got a sociopath to do this. Or someone with a sick sense of humour like Steve-0 from Jackass. He did fail. Once in a lifetime opportunity with lots of safety nets. There are fish in that lake. Hunter gatherer where are you?

  • Steve-O would also have cried. But at least it would have been funny. I could see Steve-O even in the most adverse situation still laughing. And the bears would be shit scared of him. He knows there is an end time, he has a riffle a shotgun and a sat phone. What the f@#k is he wimpering about. This is not the best this could have been. This was a wasted effort. CH4 next time book Steve-O from Jackass.

  • Steve-O would also have cried. But at least it would have been funny. I could see Steve-O even in the most adverse situation still laughing. And the bears would be shit scared of him. • I say, It was his choice to go out in the wild and be alone. Nobody put a gun to his head. All he does is complain, cry and act like a baby. Without any doubt, what he is going through must me hell - however this is his own choice. Be a bloddy man!

  • For what I read about him, say's he just an ordinary guy in terms of survival. Hat's off to Ed for his 50 days.

  • Comment removed

  • and i found a cave not big u couldnt stand up straight but u could sit an lay down an it was much safer then his shit it was easy 2 keep warm at night and smoke wasnt visible when i made fire....and i PRAYED and it might be stupid 2 u but made me believe an have hope... and i had sum am radio that didnt use batteries ithad sum crank shit that u just spin and recharge...he should know better but who am i 2 judge

  • and just for the record i was in a war in bosnia been by myself 4 a month in a mountain bc i got lost and separated from my squad i had 100 times more shit 2 worry about and wasnt half as bad as this dude..i did 2 lose weight the first 2 weeks until i found mushrooms wild apples and wild potatoes and sum other shit i guess i was in different position but wasnt cryin i can tell u that much..this is a joke and all for the show he always boiled fish neva grilled it how much sense that makes.peace

  • stop defending this guy he aint shit he made so many mistakes that this looks like its all for the show..ne neva made a shelter the rite way he did cry so efin much that if he was hunting as much as cryin he could export all the food...he moved and had berries and neva save sum for the road talkin bout salomon like trout is not good fish cmon..and all this lonely bs he was depressed when he came had 3 rifles cant get no food neva had any fun rarely smiled or enjoyed what earth has to offer..cmon

  • thats why people never open the photos cus they get insanely emotional and then do irrational things xD

  • No wonder he starved, he spent all day sitting around crying. It's good to see that he got out and had a go and did something most people wouldn't, but he clearly has virtually no knowledge of survival skills let alone the psychological impacts when in such a situation. A little more preparation and reseearch would have gone a long way.

  • @owengeorge

Yes, but keep in mind that he spent 50 days ''alone'' in the wild, constantly in fear from bears especially at night (12000 bears in the area) and in lack of food. Even Bear Grylls would break eventually, we humans are social beings, and have our limits. The solitude and fear after certain amount of time can break ''every'' man. Combine that with lack of food, being weak and it's just a matter of time.

  • @Nik123dj

Also it's not that Ed Wardle doesn't have survival skills, he's maybe not Bear Grylls, but he wasn't trying to survive and find civilization like Grylls do in his shows, guy tryed to live in the wild for 3 months alone. I doubt Bear Grylls would do any better, maybe got to day 70 and then crack.

  • @Nik123dj

this series got me looking further into the subject area and I came across Richard 'Dick' Proenneke. He went out to test himself in 1968 and went on to stay for the next 30 years. He is definetely worth checking out.

As for the bear situation, of course he has a valid right to be scarred. However he did virtually nothing to improve this situation. He continued to live under his plastic sheet for the entire time and the only structure he made was a crappy lean-to.

  • @owengeorge

Thanks for introducing me Richard 'Dick' Proenneke. An amazing and inspirational story.

  • bet if it was chuck norris he wouldnt cry he would round house kick the moose

  • The only real reason why I think he thinks he cant make it is the food and its a big thing up north if he was allowed to hunt big game he would be better off thats the thing I dont like about these shows is you cant hunt big game which is un realistic if your going to be in the norther bush for 3 months you should be allowed to hunt big game you cant survive forever on small game

  • @huntinguy532 especially since hes not even from here. i personally wouldnt care about the law if im in that kind of situation im taking down big game.

  • @BumJuiceDrinker & huntinguy532. Hunting big game would only fill your stomach for a week tops. Without a way to preserve the meat, it would go bad in a short time.

  • @ontariosurvivor couldnt you build a t-p (not sure about spelling) structure and smoke it?

  • @ontariosurvivor a moose will last you alot more than a week, and yes this guy could have smoked what he didnt eat that day and everything would have been fine

  • You guys are wrong to criticize this guy for crying in the wild. ALONE for that matter. He did 50 days. Most people couldnt even make it past 30.

  • haha i doubt anyone commenting could do t hat alone ahhaa

  • you go to do this again let me know and I'll go with you.The cards are stacked against you they know your best chance is big game.

read how to stay alive in the woods. Next trip, call me. we wouldn't need all that gear.

    stay cool, stay real

  • Get a dog and do it again, quitter.

  • It is painful watching this crybaby break down every five minutes. Send a nine year old girl into the wilderness and she would have better coping skills than this pathetic sissy. Half the fucking show consists of Ed Wardle bubbling into the camera, boo hoo hoo hoo boo hoo hoo sniff sniff. Go see a shrink Ed.

  • your comments are painful to read...kinda sounding like a nine year old girl yourself

  • @Cytacon

    ahahahahaha

  • Solitary confinement for punishment in jail cannot exceed even a week. Its called cruel and unusual punishment. ALone for three months could never be placed on one human by another. You can do it to yourself if you want though.
