I've practiced about 7 martial art styles, judo and muay thai are 2 of them, i've allways respected TKD and find it a shame i didn't start out with it as it would definately improve my high and jump kicks, it's about the only art that puts so much into those kicks un-equalled to other arts, BUT TKD practitioners don't forget that the other arts have seen this coming and allready have techniques against it, that's all and keep enjoying what you do!

I am sick of juice heads with their "TKD wouldn't last 5 minutes against MMA", Stick an MMA guy in the ring with TKD rules he'd get the shit kicked out of him! At the end of the day practically, in a street fight I wouldn't fancy my chances against an MMA guy but still TKD can be pretty practical, and it is a sport and "art", there is no grace or elegance in MMA. If I was getting my ass kicked i'd like to know a few MMA take downs and locks but i'd prefer martial arts and taekwondo any day!

Fighting technique means correct attacks for full power and speed, dodging and blocking attacks, counter attacking, timing and distancing...that kind of stuff. Muay Thai has plenty of that, as does karate, tkd , boxing, wrestling......you name it.

This does look impressive though but wont win the fight. It just takes too long before he lets out his kick in those big jumping spins like at 0:42 where he does a spinning jump only to kick on the ground.

@shadowi95 you are correct in some circumstances, kicking attacks, especially includes jump and spin, need a much longer attacking time compared to punches, in trade for the power given out by the twisting and the lever effect brought by the lengh of leg. I practice TWD and is first degree black belt, TWD is an martial art focus on kicking. In pratical, jump and spin gives the speed to hit the opponent before they can block, or even crush the blocking (cont'..)

The kick you're referring too is actually a cheat 1080 kick...and is only in reality 2 rotations making it a 720 kick :) i have no idea where you got 900 kick from

@crazytrixter in taekwondo terms, that would be a 900 with two and a half turns ending in a hook kick. there is a 540 kick with one and a half rotations ending in a hook. a 720 would be a 2 spins ending in a round kick. if you type in "540 720" on youtube. the first video you see is a vid compiling 540s, 720s, and a few 900s at the end. you should check it out to see what i was saying above. keeping mind that this is taekwondo, not tricking.
