@AK7GRAFFITI-What the hell are you, a sixth grader? All that is being asked of you is the change the date. And if you're going to try and insult me, get a dictionary. There's no 'w' in asshole, braintrust.
all the animation that was ever in the show is right here in the intro. there's basically no reason to watch any of the episodes, 'cause it's just these shots recycled over and over and over. yawn.
i remember watching all the DC heroes from filmation on channel 5 in New York In the 70's coming home after school was cool back then, so many cartoons to watch while i'm doing my homework. We had channel 5 and channel 11 to enjoy. Now that form of entertainment doesn't even exist anymore for kids and that's really unfortunate. I was fortunate to to be entertained watching "The Adventures of Superman" Batman ( Adam West) Spiderman, Marvel Superheroes & of course DC Superheroes...it's sad
Found it!!! The crowd goes wild, and the fans scream. I understand that's redundant, however, in the dictionary under redundant it says, "See: redundant." Therefore it follows with the over 300 characters I have remaining, if you've followed this far, you know that I'm leaving a message for only one person, and she should know who she is. More later....
Now is later, I heard once that it's best if you treat life as a scavenger hunt. Embrace the feeling, and as always, Please, Retweet.
WHEN is Warner Home Video going to release THIS series on DVD? I know they've released "The New Adventures of Batman" (1977), but NOT this series.
And that flashing background was almost a Filmation trademark. Considering this opening was only made so the series could be syndicated, it could be a lot worse.
What I find fascinating is it's Ted Knight who is the announcer (and practically every other major male character except Batman & Robin). But the difference between THIS and him in SF. Wow
I remember it like it was yesterday, too. But I don't see how you figure it was better than Batman: TAS. "The New Adventures of Batman", yes. I'll even give you better than "The Batman" -- at least seasons 3-5 -- but not the DCAU.
Probably not -- my guess is, for reasons of repackaging this for syndication (which is WHY this open was made, these episodes were originally part of "The Batman/Superman Hour") -- anyway, it was probably necessary for timing purposes to have an open than was around 60 seconds long.
This was actually used when the cartoon was part of the Batman/Superman Hour in 1968.

Watch this intro, then watch the Batman: TAS trailer, the difference in mood is hilarious.

Edit this together with Battling Seizure Robots and it'll be like the end of Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

I remember watching this cartoon when it was aired on the Ray Rayner and Bozo show on Chicago's WGN Channel 9 thirty years ago.
Interesting trivia. Filmation, the company behind this Batman cartoon, is the same company behind Fat Albert and He-Man.
