I have owned a logitech harmony remote for about 3-4 years that is simular to this product. It is the worst $200 I have ever spent on electronics. The up-down bottons stopped working a couple of years ago, which makes it just about useless. I have found that all of your basic run of the mill remotes can handle 3-4 components, so unless you have a dozen components in one room, it really is a waste. When I asked about the warranty, it was over 2 years, so it went into the trash.

After the support told me today, I should contact the vendor of my IR devise. which I did because it was as well a logitech device I would not trust the logitech support on anything.

Jesus, close to a dozen mails, and their final solution is advising me to contact the support of the device manufacturer, which would be THEM. Priceless.

You mean out of the box, right?

Normal mid and high-end remotes from Logitech have an IR-Reciever aswell to learn from the original remotes. So they should work with every IR-Reciever. It is just annoying and time consuming to programm them this way.

Ok for those that say there are to different prices, that's because there is two different models.

Here in Australia the 1100 is about 700-800

and the 1000 is about 250-300
