I was a fan since i was 4 and dont plan on going anywere

  • This movie made me mad. It made me mad at Jeff F. Jeff acted like a big bully/ jerk to Hanson. I bet he went crazy when he found out the sucess of the record. I applaud Hanson for standing up from themselves, left the record company, and started one of their own.

  • I rarely listen to radio now....listen to the tunes on my IPOD...by God am I going to let mainstream control to what I listen to.....Lady Gaga, Britney Spears....that;s the cool music out there?? No thank you.

  • LOVE 6:43 LOVE them! LOVE how they are so down to earth and stay true to who they are. SOOOO much respect for them.

  • pessimist, optimist and realist...now it's clear why they are so great band! Thx Ike for an explanation!

  • i can't wait to get this on dvd, also to get the cd with all those unreleased tracks

  • A lot of people in the music industry only care about money... they just want to make it big. And a lot will try to take advantage of you. I've seen it happen to many of my friends. You have to be so careful who you partner up with. I hope things are going better for you guys.

  • it cudv been num 1 in the world if there were funds to promote

  • what a jerk this producer is hanson is one of the most talented bands and should not listen to bunch of crap like that they deserve much more respect than that -love a danish hanson fan Tina

  • what an asswhole this producer is hanson are the most talented bands in the world so you dont treat talented people like that

  • zac is 18 here?

  • i love this band so much.

  • All I can say is... you guys are honestly amazing. I don't think I smiled, or cried so much in my life as I did watching this.. haha. you guys are an inspiration to so many people. from the bottom of my heart... thank you so much for being you, and never giving up.

  • Best 2 hours spent on YouTube. God has blessed you three with each other, for one, and the gift of music. <3 can't wait to see you in L.A.!

  • i just spent over an hour on youtube watching episode 1-13. and have fallen even MORE in love with hanson!

  • the good guys won. So glad this is available now. Thanks for posting!

  • Fucking Hell, what a BRILLIANT video, from 1 to 13.

  • 6:23 is Zac crying? It sounds like he is

  • ha! love it- yes, you punch him back!!!!

  • omg lol is zac hand sewing something at 3:12? life=made. just sitting and chilling, listening about their intense situation while getting some sewing done. ya knowww, no big

  • Knowing the shit that they went through gives me a whole new respect for them. I have always liked them and their music, but seeing what they went through to produce their third album really makes me think of what would have happened if they went with what Jeff told them to do. Stay true to yourself and you can really go far.

  • I love Hanson, and always will!!!!!!!!!! The end of this documentary always gives me shivers. They prove that you can live your dreams and not take crap from anyone! Hanson will always be one of my favorite bands :)

  • I've been a fan of Hanson since 1997...and this documentary makes me feel so frustrated for them and proud of them

  • i've been a fan since 1997....so pround of you guys...

  • *Tear-eyed* Have so much respect for you guys! You inspire me ever since, and you continue to do so! Thank you for staying true, and taking a chance. The world needs more artists like you guys!

  • These guys are like magic. Just the three of em together...Great personalities too!

  • "I never realized that until now. I AM A PESSIMIST," - with a big smile. Haha! Cute Ike!

  • I like every one of em... How different but cool each one of em are in every tight situation. Tay goes all out, rational and speaks out his mind...Isaac usually pinpoints the problem and presses for real answers...And Zac, I love how he stays quiet while the older brothers discuss. He kinda brings a level of peace, but can be really sensible when he does speak up. :P

  • I think i've cried about 4 times in every clip of this documentary. I hope one day I get to write music with these guys.

  • Not that everyone isn't entitled to their fair share of frustration, but now having watched the documentary, it's pretty humbling to think back on some of the whining we did as fans over the lack of new material from the band during this period. Yes, those of us who investigated the issue read/heard snippets of information regarding the creative clash with the label post-merger, but even then I doubt we fully grasped the magnitude of it. Good Lord, if only we'd known...

  • Documental of the Hanson.

  • hey guys, wedix is finally here...hanson,this band reminds me of my teen days, the mmmbop and 8s video really takes a deep feelng of happiness...and so penny and me.u kno what guys, jz continue doing real music coz ur real music meks u great...

  • i became a hanson fan at age 3, listening to mmmbop on my way to preschool in the car. im 15 now. i absolutely loved this documentary and underneath is honestly my favorite album. in all complete honesty no one will ever be able to write and sing songs like hanson. i love every single one of their songs, they deserve everything they have achieved up to today. i really REALLY hope they come out with more albums, because that's what their fans want to hear. more from them.

  • it's a shame these big record labels seem so afraid of REAL music. don't you think a good record label would be one that started a new trend especially if that trend is real, great music. it truly pisses me off that people seem so scared of hanson simply because their music isn't like anyone elses. to me, that's what real music is. i just hope jeff finster is kicking himself in the balls right now : ) to hanson: i'm SO proud of you guys! you are a phenomenal band and only get better!

  • HANSON YOU ARE REAL ARTTIST! NEVER GIVE UP! HERE WE ARE YOUR FANS TO SUPPORT YOUR MUSIC! THAT IS REAL MUSIC.

  • i was definitely wrong what i thought of you guys..i just watched this entire documentary on whim...you guys are amazing..i have loads of respect for you..

you guys are beyond talented and classy gentlemen..

  • u guys are so strong!!!! never give up please...your music is spectacular and that's all that matters... love uu ♥♥♥

  • This is sooo sad. :(

  • that was such a good docu. I think every band that wants to consider signing with a major record label deffinatly needs to watch this film.

  • ughhh this is so frustrating! it doesn't seem fair that even the radios are somewhat controlled by the record labels!

  • Hanson deserves every bit of success that they get. And they're right, the system in the music business is broken. The playlists are so small and these days if u request Hanson, they'll say that they've tossed out their music because "They suck." C'MON! Would MMMBOP have hit #1 in '97 if they sucked? Would Underneath hit #1 if they did? These people in the industry really need to wake up.

  • SO proud of these guys :)

  • I'm glad that Hanson choose their music instead of 'being one more pretty face' on music industry. As a fan since "Middle of Nowhere", I am glad with their work, with their music. We feel that they're doing for passion, not only for selling. We respect their work, they give us a lot of great songs we'll never forget. Hanson's songs are present in a lot of moments of my life since the very first album until now. I'll be there for them, no matter what! Greetings from Brazil!

  • no one should have to go through went you guys did. once you were off island/def it seemed like you were much happier! i love the fact you are still making music today everyone can relate to. its better then any music on the radio! keep it coming! :]

  • I seriously had no idea that you guys went through this...while watching I was about to scream! So frustrating...I cant believe they would do that to you. I'm still and always will be a huge fan of yours. Look forward to going to another concert in the future (I hope!)

Sending much love and best wishes from a fellow Okie

    (in Tahlequah!)

    -Brandy

  • :'D :'D Seriously, I've watched this so many times and I still feel SO DAMN PROUD by the end!!! It's just so amazing and inspiring and ahhhh I love them!!

Also, it NEVER fails to give me chills, with the Jeff Fenster part. It's so amazing to think how INCREDIBLY different it would have all been if they hadn't followed their guts and taken the chance in going independent!

    and also:

THIRD INDEPENDENT ALBUM, SHOUT IT OUT, COMING OUT JUNE 1, 2010 WOOOO! :D

  • wow that was so inspiring! I've always loved what you are doing, your music is so full of pure energy and spirit. I knew it from the very begining just when I first saw the mmmbop video you are unique, not just like the other bands around theres something special in you guys, congrats, you've done a great job!

  • Wow, Zac with his shirt off is freaking amazing. God he's gorgeous!

  • " I am a pessimist" - grin :D

  • It made me smile at the end when they were smiling from getting all their good new. Im so glad they didnt give up, I for one would be lost without their music.

    Fan since '97

  • "Jeff Fenster now works at Arista" DODGED A BULLET!!! lol

  • yeah RIGHT (not being sarcastic)-i was just thinkng that too, i wonder how that would have gone.

  • It' was stunning to watch Taylor be so grounded and diplomatic while douche bag after douche bag told him that their music was "uhm, you know, i feel like, you know, I uhm". These guys have an amazing talent and they deserve to be prized for it. And after all the result is just one - the record is amazing. No one can deny it.

  • I cant express enough how proud i am of them for going through the struggles and then coming out on top! Their reactions of the news seriously made me cry! They are defently the engine that could... and did! they came, they conquored and they got the tshirt! AMAZING!

  • their music has totally evolved. great stuff. great band

  • I am such a Huge fan of Hanson, and I think they made a Great decision on going independent! I love them and i have loved them since they first came out in 1997! I am so proud of them and I can't believe the Crap that they were put through! You go Guys!! I Love You Guys Forever! :)

  • "Do you keep asking the bully to beat you up?"

    "No, you punch him back."

    i lol'ed.

  • I love Hanson!

  • Tay looks like a pixie with that black hat on!! =)) I LOVE IT!!

  • cant wait til october when i finally get to see them!!! woooooo

  • Their hard work paid off sooo much! I've been a fan since the beginning and to see that is awesome for them! Congrats guys!!

  • So much respect for you guys. Congrats on your success and such a powerful documentary.

  • So cute when Tay and Zac gave each other a high five. Fan since 97'

  • i can't wait for my dvd to arrive :D i want to just sit and watch from beginning to end and absorb all of it.

keep on fighting, guys! never give up!!

  • Since.. 1997... and forever... I love Hanson

  • Since 1996, I have followed Hanson's career. They are amazing people who make amazing music, and they are well grounded and completely realistic people. As long as they make music, I will be buying it. I've been a fan since MmmBop, and I will remain steadfast and true in my love for their music. They are at the top of my list, and I don't think that'll be changing anytime soon. You really can't ask for more than what they give... HANSON RULZ!

  • always hansons #1 fan!!!!!!!

  • I was one of those obsessed crazy 12 year old girls when Hanson first came out. Even though I've grown up, I still have every ablum and will continue to purchase anything they release. As they grew up, so did their fans. As their music matured, so did their fans. I'm so glad they went independent and did what is right for them. As long as they continue to make music I'll continue to buy it and support them. I'll continue being proud of my love of their music, and driving my husband nuts with it!

  • I have never been a fan of Hanson. But watching this documentary.....I can't even front. The music is on point, especially what you wrote and recorded in France. And going indie, that takes balls, and intelligence.

    Congrats!

  • You guys should be so proud of your selves... Really you've done such amzing things with being on you own... There will Be a comeback for Hanson, It will be extremely soon, and you will stay there this time!

  • Wow, this was a really good documentary. They went through so much, but they succeeded. Now I have even more respect for them as artists. They didn't jump on the bandwagon or anything. They went with what they wanted to do and succeeded. This can be a very important life lesson for anybody.

    b(^b^)d

  • they are so cute.. that's all i can say lol

  • So glad I finally got to see this. It was worth the wait.

  • this is a great documentary. it really shows how the music industry works now-a-days. instead of artists who work and produce good material themselves... you have people like the jonas brothers and hannah montana 'dominating' the music industry. but you know what? no one is going to remember their music. no one is still going to listen to them when they get older. you know what i'll still be listening to? hanson. because your music is real. and that's what REALLY counts.

  • @hoosiergirl008

    I soooo agree with you.

I became Hanson- Fan in the age of 11. Now I'm 24 years old...And I just came back to them a few weeks ago. Honestly....Suddenly, I coulnd't stand all this 'machine-pop-sound' anymore and I've remembered the bands, which impressed me with they're talent of making music and writting their own songs.... And here I am again....Back on the music of one of my first musically love....Hanson.

I'm so proud of them I can't tell ya how much

  • the problam is the big record companies probably do'nt consider the amount of records they sold a 'success' success means if you sold not least than 5 milion records now days i guess..

  • That was a very intriguing and informative Doc. series. I really do put it up there with Dream Theater's "Score" and the "Rush in Rio" Doc. What a Nightmare and what they had to go through to realize that they HAD to be true to themselves. VERY impressive. I cant believe that they almost signed to A&M only to find they would have dealt with "Fester" again :P I may not be totally into their music, but man how I respect them and for toughing it out soo professionaly :) -MAVIII(prOgulus . c o m)

  • beautiful band of brothers... love you guys and ur music... :)

  • you are sick

  • They own all

  • taylor at 4:55 looks like an angel xx

  • zac looks so sexy in the minute 5:39

  • I too was one of those 37,500 units. I got it the day it came out :)

  • lmao the end was funny! thank god they didnt sign with arista haha

  • screw the radio! Hanson's to good for it anyway! haha

  • i wonder .. do we think thay slept a little better after this !!

  • Actually I haven't even heard anything about you before. But now after watching all 13 videos of this documentary I became some kind of fan... ^^ This documentary is really great! I haven't known that these huge major-labels were actually that brutal. It really gave me insights into music business! And if I had just been listening to your music I probably would have thought you're yet another pop-rock boyband. But by watching this docu I realized that you're three remarkable musicians! :)

  • i love taylorrrr x))

  • I was one of those 37,500 units. I got that album as soon as I could.

  • AMAZING. Made me cry. Gave me chills. These guys are such inspirations! I am so glad they went all the way and pushed through those barriers to break through to the light!!

  • Always love u and ur music :)

and THANK YOU for coming to Thailand

I miss u guys so much

  • Hanson is the best!

  • so true. hanson definantly don't get enough credit for how amazing they are.

  • Radio should play these guys more. They are way better than the crap most stations play and I rarely listen to them anymore. Truly inspiring documentary and after The Walk...how can anyone not see how great these guys are?

  • Does anyone know if theese guys had parrots or somthing?..it seemed to me that were birds tables in their living room..anyway what a great doc, this is an inspiration for everyone outhere, never give it up.

  • lol there tables where up on top eachother

  • Not it isnt..check carefully..it seems like a tree and the other one is a white table with 2 sticks from each side..kinda strange..

  • wht i ment .. was the bird tables are on top of eachother .. i do belive thay had/have birds ..

  • omg fenster is incharge or arista? now they know without a doubt they made the right decision.

i have never, ever heard a hanson song on the radio (other than mmmbop). but i will buy every cd these guys make. i don't even listen to the radio...they play the same twenty songs over and over again.

  • "Do you keep asking the bully to beat you up?"

"No...You punch it back. You punch it back"

    hehe Cute.

And I wonder if it really was coincidence that Isaac and Taylor had that realization at the same time.

  • oh Tay; why are you so amazing??

  • "Do you keep asking the bully to beat you up?

No you punch him back. You punch it back."

Haha, that bit cracked me up for some reason.

  • pessimist, optimist, realist:D

  • omg, i taylor looked so perfect during underneath. he;s still beautiful, always been but underneath is my fav look. i couldnt even read the subtitles. couldnt take my eyes off of him. wut a good documentary~

  • What a great documentary. I watched it for the 2nd time now and it keeps amazing me. I can't believe that Fenster guy went working @ Arista. Soooo glad Hanson didn't sign @ the Arista label. They are better off independant this way they can stay true to their music and most of all true to themselves.

  • a pessimist, optimist and a realist.. what a combination.. kinda amazing how that works itself out :D

  • this is what real music is about- passiion- not quick sellers like justin timberlake and rhianna.

  • Amazing video! I love what they went through in order to make their music, instead of just giving up or giving in.

  • Can I just say Hanson has the best fans in the world they are so loyal and appreciative to their music. I have so much respect for these guys. Hands down some of the most talented people making music today. I can't wait to see them next month. <3

  • What an amazing story. That's all I can say. I admire then so much for not compromising with a world gone mad. It's an inspiration.

  • could you imagine them working with jeff fenster in arista!

omgg lol they would be the new backstreet boys

thank fuck things went the way they did!!

    absolutely fantastic documentary!!!

and here i thought my love for hanson couldn't grow

words can't express my appreciation and love for them and their music

i don't know what i'd do if i didn't have them to keep me sane!!!

  • god bless you god bless you god bless you guys so much. i love you guys!

  • like Kufan, i have been a fan since 1997, and have grown to respect Hanson even more now that i have watched all teh epsisodes of Strong Enough...I hope they carry on to inspire people for years to come as they are such great role models. Thank you to hanson for doing all they have done to give us the music they have given all these years, It means so much to so many people. xx Jo xx

  • After watching this documentary I have more respect for Hanson than I ever have before! I have been a fan since the beginning and let me tell you my obessesion over Hanson is not strong enough to break.

  • I'm sure there are much more than 77K, I am an example of it. I am not registered in Myspace as a fan neither any web page, But I'm a fan since 1997!!! And very proud of it!!

  • well i'm glad for the boys that they got what they wanted. their fan base is in decline, for sure. their myspace only has 77,000 fans. now, that is a lot for some, but really when you think out of all the people in the entire world, only 77k are hanson "fans" on myspace it's very small! "though they be but little, they are fierce!" though small in numbers, hanson fans are dedicated! i became one in 97 and am glad to see they're still around.

  • There are so many more Hanson fans then that. I like dilee24 am not a myspace Hanson fan, but I went to their concert last Saturday and loved every second of it...espially meeting them! I've only been a Hanson fan for about 5 months, but that doesn't make me any less of a fan then those of you who have been there since '97.

  • agreed. I only got into them when they did underneath tour and my friend had noone to go to their concert with so i went with her and had more fun than she did...now totally love them now even went and bought their old stuff i never use to like hehe

  • Oh I completely agree. My sister's been a fan since '97, but she's seven years older than me. Then when I was around eleven or so, I heard "If Only," and even though I'd never given Hanson a second thought before, I fell in love with that song. I sort of forgot about them, though. Then I heard "Underneath" off Underneath. And they've had me ever since. These guys are brilliant musicians. I saw them for the first time in April, and their concert was the best I've ever been to!

  • 3 truly amazing young men. Been a fan of the music since the beginning and always will be. Keep it coming lads x

  • HANSON, I'm always with you guys... Hanson is not one of my top ten band in the world but it is a band I turn to to get tons and tons of inspiration to write.

Just my thought, Lyrics are the best I've heard out there, but the arrangement just lacks some WOW factor...

HANSON IS THE BEST and I am not ashamed to say so coz' they are the best out there that are willing to fight the major record labels that are nothing but a bunch of dogs with lots of bone and no juice in it.

  • do you know what strong enough to break part where zac is sleeping?

    wOOaaahh!!

    I love that part..

    can you tell me?

    please!!

  • Strong Enough to Break #4 is when that happened. :D I wrote it down in a notebook where my favorite parts were in the whole Documentary.

  • When Zac was woken up by the headphones part I mean.

  • have always thought they are amazing, now even more so after seeing this documentary. rock on, Hanson! my fave song from underneath is broken angel. love da vocal. way to go, Zac!

  • Guys, THANK YOU SO VERY MUTCH !. Thats all I can sa to discrib this ,:) , I was 7 , I think when I heard mmmbop for the first time, and I have loved you guys from the very first begining . I hope you guys will always be there for your fans, cause , I think I speak for everyone when I say that we will always be there for you . :) , Thanks .

  • :-D

I have to tell you that I was 11 when I became a fan of Hanson and I'm still one at I'm 23. You guys will always be in my heart and I'm so glad you pushed through and made Underneath!! I love you guys. You'll always have a fan in me!

  • WOW.. i watched the whole thing and it was truely amazing!Theyve been through ups and downs and all arounds! But, they went out and made it! Then end just really choked me up!! go hanson!!!! :)

  • Chorei de emoção também no final! Valeu todo esforço deles. Amo d+ músicas do hanson. Ótimo trabalho!! Vivaaaa Hanson!!!!

  • I love you Hanson!! It has been such an honor and a privilege to have grown up with your music. I loved your music the first time I heard it when I was 13, I love it now at 24. Good job you guys. Your are truly amazing!!

  • Amazing documentary. They really are the best band in the world. :)

  • well.. i am an 11-year-old kid and i am a great fan of hanson, even though i am to young!

  • "do you keep asking the bully to beat you up?"

"no you just punch em back"

    LOVE IT.

    THESE BOYS ARE JUST AMAZING.

  • The ending was perfect. It made me all teary eye'd.

  • I love that ending!

  • Wow! Such an awesome doco. You never realise what artists have to go through just to give a great record to all their fans. They did the right thing dropping their label.

  • This documentary made me cry. I had no idea what they'd went through and their story is something other struggling artists can hopefully take courage and advice from. I've been a Hanson fan since I was 13 and all I can say is Wow. Great job guys. Keep up the AMAZING work!

  • Watching this documentary has really made me respect Hanson in a way I never have before. They are true musicians who have a passion for continuing to perfect their art. Unfortunately, this type of music would never work in today's mainstream scene where the biggest "artists" are either media crossover sellouts like Miley Cyrus, or the endless roster of those making club music.

  • The sad thing is that the music industry is slowly killing extremely talented musicians who are stiving to evolve their music in almost every genre. For example take Thrice (who removed themselves from Island) and Thursday (Island Records as well). Both these bands are extremely fan-based with a huge cult following in the indie scene, and very talented but because they weren't producing sell-out radio rock, Island wanted to drop them.

  • I've been a Hanson fan since May of '97, but I'm ashamed to say that this is the first time I've watched SETB in its entirety. Wow. The CRAP that they had to put up with is INSANE. I'm so glad they had the guts to keep going and to punch the bully right back. Man. Keep it up, guys! The world will one day realize how amazing you are again, and even if they don't, your fans always will. God bless!

  • I seriously get chills every single time I watch the ending of that video. <3

  • I've been listening to Hanson since the MmmBop days, and watching this documentary made me fall in love with even more (if that's even possible). You guys are so strong and brave, and I'm so proud of you! Keep up the amazing music, guys.

  • Taylor either needs to get rid of that hat in the beginning of the video or wear it the right way

    <3

  • was zac.............sewing???

    HAHA

  • yes he was .. lol

  • I'm not a Hanson fan, but that was a real brave fight they put up. It's like the industry took them when they were "young and cute" and tried to discard them when they grew older but they kept on going, despite whether I like their music or not that's to be respected. Congratulations!

  • FUCK YEA!!! LIBERATION!

  • im a certified hanson fan since the world was created

  • i loved watching this & Taking The Walk. seeing everything that goes into it & how much they struggled just makes me love, respect & appreciate the music so much more. ;D

  • Have no fear, your music is being heard and loved.

  • Man, Hanson plays great music I like 90% of their stuff and I think they'll be around forever.

  • Hanson should somehow get themselves on Perez Hilton. He will get them all kinds of attention :)

  • You guys are awesome and man...just wow. Keep up the amazing music!

  • nhai.. i forgot to say... SETB13 is the best (aheuiahe)

  • is this a happy end or, maybe, beggining of everything, actually?

    I just couldn't stop smiling

and you can't forget Brazil, hun?

  • Im Proud to say i'm a HANSON FAN!!!!!!

  • I'm glad that Hanson is fighting for what they belive in..

  • HANSON ROCKS!!!! I'm proud to say i'm a HANSON FAN!!!!

  • it's a great job

    i love it

  • I'm so glad I finally got to see this documentary. It's really opened my eyes about what this band went through to get that album out. I knew it had been a struggle, but I had no idea how much of one it had really been. Great job, guys!

  • i totally understand now why you went on your own underneath album is awsome.

  • woo hoo!!

  • hmmm...dude theres no need to beg at the door of old school record companies...you dont need them to promote or distribute...basically they are just a tool for touring...my band gave up on "radio" , which does indeed suck...if anyone wants to hear us we are right here on youtube, just click on my name and youll go to our page =)

  • i am very proud to be a hanson fan for sure!

  • YAY FOR HANSON! :)))))))

  • I'm really glad this documentary was made it was very interesting to watch. It's great that it all worked out better for you in the end =]
