thank you for the nice comments, but all gratitude i have is negated by your bickering over whether or not Christianity has failed us. there is a place for these kinds of arguments, but YouTube is definitely not one of them.
Christ never fails us-only we fail. Christ is not a religion-HE IS THE WAY! Open your eyes, ears & hearts. By the way HONOR, really nice show here. You do a great job!
@jakestep17@jakestep17 Take a good look at our nation & see that since they removed the bible, prayer, ten commandments & Christ from our schools & our nation-where are we now? "Are we rolling down hill like a snowball that's headed for hell" Do we now deserve favor from our Lord seeing that we now desire $ & power & respect from other nations over his mercy & grace? It's all about $ & power now. Shame for shame. By the way-Love the art...
I personally thing the Mona Lisa is such a fascinating painting, as well as the ones with the Virgin Mary, the movement in the painting is so out of this world.
I can only think of one woman painter during the Renaissance--Artemisia gentileschi. Do you know of any others? I wish they were more renaissance women PAINTERS but mostly there are only renaissance women SUBJECTS.
Before my loved Artemisia there was Sofonisba Anguissola that influenced Caravaggio, anyway I think that artemisia could be considered a baroque painter, ther's nothing anymore of Raphael's serenity in her paintings :)
I know few only italian woman painter during XVI century, the Anguissola sisters Sofonisba and Lucia. The first died a very old age, more than 90 years old, and 75 years of painting career.
There were many more very talented female painters, but men of these times didn't accept their paintings as art and lots of paintings didn`t become poular.
Looking where I can get an artist to make a painting of my wife in a theme setting like a warrior or princes or i guess angel.how much does this cost where do i go to find the artist to do this?
Very pleasant combination of music and images from an age of unprecedented artistic advancement. I'm also a fan of Dante [pre-Renaissance?], though I'm limited to English translations of his sublime works.
CaesarAugustus1987: None taken! I'm sure you're right, though I hope translating The Divine Comedy into modern English didn't compromise its story as much as its style.
I forgot that I added Anne of Cleves in at the end.I added Anne of Cleves because I love Hans Holbein. Also, this protrait in particular shows the power of the portrait in the age before photographs; Henry VIII fell in love with Holbein's portrait, but when he metr Anne in real life he was disgusted with her. He thought she was extremely ugly and became very angry with Holbien. But he ended up marrying the poor woman but he never quite got used to her; he divorced her a few months later.
I'm actually doing a project on the women of renaissance and was wondering if you by any chance could give me a list of the names of the paintings used. Or send me a site with the paintings.

FYI, for clarification purposes...Christ has not failed us. The commercialized Churche's interpretation of Christianity has definitely failed us!!!

i disagree i have seen the mona lisa in person and i don't find it to be one of my favorites

Really? I thought the Mona Lisa was one of the most boring painting ever, but I'm more of a fan of the Northern Renaissance than the Italian.

bubbele89 3 years ago
Wasn't it the 6 wives of Henry XIII? Anne Boleyn, Catherine, Mary, Nell Gwyne and like 2 others?
Utahraptor9 4 years ago
The six wives of Henry VIII were Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr.
honorthehawkins 4 years ago
Well, I got Anne and Catherine right, lol. And its Henry the 8th, not Henry the 13th?

I agree. But I have absolutely no idea how to morph the way eggman913 does...also I don't have the technology. Thanks for watching though!
