@viliussmproductions DOOM and most DOS games work fine on a modern computer with Windows 7 64-bit when you launch there exe in DOSBox version 0.74.

@DarkAssasin619 Well there is always Doom Resurrection of Evil for the 1st XBOX that you could get since that comes with Doom, Doom II and the Master Levels and runs fine on the 360.

I did forget to mention two things though that the controls are slightly different compared to the 360 version of Doom and Doom II but guess that's to be expected though.

Also when running ROE when the intro video plays it can't be skipped when it plays first time each time you insert the disc like it could on the original XBOX.

Anyway just thought I'd give you a heads up on that just in case.

@DarkAssasin619 If you have a specific OXM demo disc, the one with the Doom 2 Demo, and in classic demos, doom will be inside. You can still purchase doom 1 from xbox live and download it . I plan to make a video showing and explaining how to do so.

its an old game...they didnt do much to the graphics bringing it onto the xbla....just added more color and hd....but they kept most of the old graphics, even its issues...

@Davidguitar15 I absulutely prefer this game on PC, thanks to Skulltag. I can join into running servers, i can jump and crouch. I can summon monsters with commands. I can circle strafe around monsters while jumping and shooting. Invasion is the best coop mode you can have in doom universe, though it includes new weapons and monsters (some are from blood, duke nukem 3d and some other old games). There are monsters far more dangerous than cyberdemon, cyberdemon is nothing compared to some.

I think you're thinking of the PSX port, maybe the Saturn version had that too. See, the original PC version of DOOM didn't have the Pain Elemental. DOOM 2 had it, but not the first game. See, PSX DOOM, and Saturn DOOM was on an edited version of DOOM 2. I'm losing myself here. PSX DOOM, and Saturn DOOM had both The Ultimate DOOM, and DOOM 2 on one game. Thus enabling the Pain Elemental to be on the first episode of The Ultimate DOOM. Maybe you're understanding me here.

The thing about shareware... they shared too much. they gave you the first episode of the game but the first episode was usually more than enough of the game. Shareware was a free download, but not everyone had Internet back then so many people did buy it simply because they didn't understand the difference because they don't read. Shareware was the ultimate gimmick. "HUH, we don't demonstrate the game! NO, we SHARE it with you!" Story is generic because it wasn't important.
