@stefanosc9 Like you'd have any idea what constitutes a 'normal chest' on an adult female not involved in the porn industry ........... ROFLOL
Jesus you kids make me laugh ........... until i remember you'll be in charge of the planet in a few years and my own kids will be living under your rules.
@ShokiisRad WTF don't wanna come over as some pretensions, artsie, Eurofag, salon, prig ....(especially since an a working class dood from the north of England)... but fuck me bro ......... if you need to ask a question like that when you see Steps work your kinda wasting your time looking in the 1st place.
Does that shit look like square dancing or trad Ballet to you ?!?!?!?
At least your one of the curious ones, you ask a question rather than just talked about Louise's breasts.
Not to detract from the performance, because it was amazing, but is that dancer male, female, intersexed, transgender? It even looks like she has a moustache in some shots. Her breasts are bizarre.
@Sambucca The dancer is a regular, non-intersexed or transgendered woman. The mustache you see is painted on; they're playing with gender concepts in this piece. The most upsetting part of your comment to me is that her breasts are 'bizarre'. They are totally normal, they just look weird to you b/c society only ever shows you perfectly round D cup breasts. The vast majority of women have breasts that bear no resemblance to that imaginary norm.
@MissTrissMayhem I didn't have to; there are thousands extant by clinicians and others. Estimates of course vary, but fall w/i a stated range of roughly 65-80%. You may feel that 65% doesn't constitute a "vast" majority (and I'd be inclined to agree), but it is, mathematically, undeniably a *majority*, and if the reality is closer to the 80% end then yes, I'd feel warranted using the phrase "vast majority."
@TheSnoozee No offence but in the very attempt to render a rational intelligent response to the kind of walnut brained, rock-like ignorance shown by the Sambucca's of this world. You do run the risk of partially legitimising the the idea that mindless ignorance and stereotypical sexism, actually deserve a rational response. Now am sure you wouldn't want to endorse that.
Obviously your a human blessed with intelligence and perception ... unfortunately not everyone is as gifted as you
@Sambucca Also, she's a dancer- they work out so aggressively that they tend to have small breasts, dancer's body fat levels are usually very low, as with most kinds of athletes, and 50% of breast structure is available fat.
Étrange sacrifice d'un corps pour la perfection de la danse. Ces maigres seins pointus, agressifs par dépit... Mais au final une des plus grandes danseuses contemporaines.
I think it was a magic time in Canadian Contemporary dance... Edouard Lock, Robert Desrosiers and Michael Montanaro all created amazing works.. sadly Desrosiers Dance and Montanaro Dance had their funding pulled... I suspect because they became too commercial, which is another way of saying that people wanted to see their work... It seems sometimes that modern dance is only worth funding when nobody wants to see it..

very powerful, but, like almost all their videos with this particular woman, unnervingly like watching Chris Crocker with another man... they are amazing, but this particular woman does give me, another woman, the jitters just a bit in how masculine her motions generally are.
Have you considered that this could be intentional. Watching other works, even recent ones such as Amelia, of La La La Human Steps, it is clear that Lock tries to challenge some of the traditional movement qualities found in dance as it pertains to gender. Though you are entitled to your own opinion in response to a work of art, you should also recognize the possibility of the intention of, for example, masculinity, and the statement it is being used to make.
Un duo explosif! Louise Lecavalier et Marc Béland, alors danseurs vedette de LaLaLa Human Steps. Marc Béland ne danse plus maintenant et exerce le métier de comédien au théâtre et à la télévision à Montréal.
the upper lip hair is painted on, and she was Canada's greatest dancer ever...the Little Museum from 1995 is wonderful as well.......thanx for posting this vid
whoever thought MGM knew what arts was is an idiot. HAHA This is a real art form and real dancing, not some MGM flash and trash. AWESOME dancing, not just some time steps and suffles
Interesting message in this one. I like that it make a point about evolution and struggle against one another. We wouldn't have evolved without the battle of the sexes. They do some interesting moves - they look almost impossible! Makes you kind of question feminism - its there for a reason, but mainly the reason behind it is to the struggle of both sexes in the interests of evolution and survival.
this is my favorite piece of La la la's!!! awesome!
Edouard Lock and his work in the 80's was partially focused on the idea of blending the gender lines. there weren't typical female and male roles - mens' movmts infused with femininty and vise versa - loise PAINTED on a moustache and the men wore boy George style makeup
Louise Lecavalier is BRILLIANT! How many things do you have to do incredably well to dance like that; equilibrium, coordination, athletic ability, grace, timing, etc...
Wonderful dancing. It's surprising how even when people can see Louise Lecavalier's breasts the fact that she doesn't pluck the hair on her lip make them question her femininity.
I just wish the director had paid attention to the old MGM musicals, when they knew that dance should be framed full height, with a few cuts as possible. It's about the dancers, not the cleverness of the director.
but I cannot morally invite my audience to be advertised to by mc donalds or the church of jesus christ. i would not except money from them to use my art. I certainly will not allow google to sell my work to them while I go hungry, my peers are censored and my audience is exploited.
disagree, those boobs aren't normal .........

what type of dance would you say this is?? modern or what?

@ShokiisRad
This is just a topless version with modern music of a 1920's/1930's French dance called "apache".
Check it out on YouTube by searching for this (for example): La Danse Apache (1935)
