The Al Qaeda boogie man gives the perfect excuse for endless military operations to secure territory and resources for the "Allied" nations and their corporate sponsors. These are just symptoms of a bigger problem. The current elite run economy (military, energy, etc.) system has become a cancer on society & we the people are the cure.

The irony is that the United States worked to keep Sadam Hussein in power in Iraq and was responsible for bringing the Taliban to power in Afghanistan. Elsewhere in the world the USA has conspired to impose horrible governments on the populations. The so called Al Qaeda have existed for hundreds of years, What better reason to start a war than to create a false threat? Tell congress that a group made up of few is actually an army of thousands in order to sap money from our government and a create a war and cause a country to collapse. There is no real threat from Al Qaeda, just a need for control. As we pull out from Iraq we will invade Afghanistan as if we actually made a difference by killing the innocent in vain.
