@TheBlog999 You can dual boot your PC with both Linux and Windows. When you start up your computer, you can choose either Windows or Linux. If you currently have Win7 installed, go ahead and boot from a Linux CD. It will take care of the rest for you.
Sorry about the late reply. You probably already figured out how to do this, but you can simply drag and drop things to your bar, or go into Dock Prefs and add a launcher in there. It's also nice to go find some nice high res png icons for your new launchers :D
I followed the instructions on your blog, but now after installing gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks the login screen theme is gone, it looks really awful. Also I can't find the human theme that comes with Ubuntu, I really like it. I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. any help will be appreciated!!
I love Amarok, but haven't ran it in a long time. Isn't the new amarok 2.2 out now? I'll have to download it and test it out on my setup, see if it crashes for me too. What output do you get about the crash when launching amarok from terminal?
The theme is an extension of one's artistic taste and personality. It wasn't designed for your to like, i put it into the tutorial to show others how easy it is to theme out your Ubuntu desktop or laptop.
for some reason it can't find .stalonetrayrc in the user directory, and when I first installed avant it asked if I wanted to save a file which I said No when I selected automatically start awn on startup.
Can i switch back to pc if i dont like it without losing my settings from windows 7?

As you can see from the videos title, it was meant for Ubuntu 9.04 and earlier versions. I have replied to your email as well.

Don't understand why you didn't just use Gnome Do Docky. It works better than AWN.

Dokcy doesn't support scripted addons like AWN does. I'd like to see docky use album art for the Amarok icon.... right. I rest my case.

how'd you record in HD?
fooey88 2 years ago 3
I used recordmydesktop-gtk to screencast. Then made sure my project in Cinelerra fit the aspect ratio youtube says it needs to be for HD content.
