@ChaosChronicle Because you can walk across it. A lot of these things are very tiny, insignificant bugs, in fact I wouldn't call them glitches, more like goofs. A glitch is usually something that can fuck up your game. All the crazy shit comes from the sketch glitch. I still enjoy these vids though, FFVI is an outstanding game.

@ChaosChronicle But you've missed nearly all the important ones. The tiny things are sorta interesting I guess, but who really cares if the graphics are off by a little bit on a frame or two? You must really like this game.

i'm sorry, i was trying to read as fast as possible, but your text disappears too fast for me. i understood you had a timelimit, but it would be nice if the text stayed just a second or two longer and there weren't those transition effects to waste the extra time. other than that great vid, i just can't sit back and watch i have to keep pressing pause

@ChaosChronicle hehe np a good trick is to read it out loud at a medium pace and time it based on that, because when you re-read your own writing in your head, you read it a looot faster than someone reading it for the first time. great vid tho and good pacing everywhere else

3:15 how do you know there's no bridge there? its not like you can see the area, so maybe it was supposed to be there?

@jr2nd Refer to the comments section, your question has already been answered :) But you're correct - there's no way of knowing whether or not the bridge should be there.  However, it does help you bypass part of the event during the invasion of South Figaro, which leads us to believe it's either a well-hidden secret or simply an error. In my opinion I think it was accidental when creating that housing texture you seem to 'pass' through... Worse mistakes have been made in this game.

@jr2nd - oh please don't think I posted these videos because I disliked FF6 in any way, shape or form. This by far my favorite game, which is why I took the time to play through it just to find multiple glitches/bugs.

I've had the Party of None glitch happen to me back in the day during my very first playthrough. Needless to say, I developed a deep-rooted hatred for Shadow afterwards.

That hidden bridge was supposed to be there before, but the programmers either forgot to take it out, or they left us a little secret (like any ordinary secret passage) so we could go through Locke's scenerio easier. The possibility of that is around a 6.25% percent chance, or 1/16 chance, but itssomething we can think about...

There's a number of theories as to why the bridge would remain there. One is that the section used to be a bridge and was eventually removed. Another is that the programmers simply forgot to put impassible tiles over that section. A third is that it's part of an earlier tunnel made that was supposed to carry us from the cider guy's house to the mansion.

I don't think you can place a probability on it, but it's certainly subjective. It might not be a bug at all, who knows?

@ChaosChronicle ya know as an 8 year old kid.... I never put any thought into it; I was used to secret passages and discovered it on my first visit to SF.... suggesting that it was never supposed to be there is interesting.... Especially since they reproduced it in the ports.

I wonder, during the Shadow/Gau trick, if Shadow will still leave after a battle? I wonder what kind of glitch would happen then? I also always assumed the bridge glitch in South Figaro was just a short-cut left in for no discernible reason.

I'm fairly certain Shadow's ability to leave is removed once the party is 1 man. I went all across the Serpent Trench and through Figaro Cave without him leaving. Not positive about that, but I think you need to make him force leave. There's another bugs with making him leave, however, which will be in a later video.

And yeah, the bridge is up in question as to being a glitch or not, but a lot of signs point to yes. Glitches and bugs are fairly subjective sometimes, I've found.
