  • I just loved this sooo much, your irony killed me XD

  • your voice is so AMAZING!!!

  • *laughs* Your video summary had me in stitches (pun intended). Presuming you are the same Stitchgrl, I just want to mail ALW a copy of Temperance and say "SEE? SEE, you insufferable man?! In their free time, UNPAID, your fans manage to write material that runs circles around this pathetic excuse for a sequel. Get your head on straight, man."

On a happier note, you have a beautiful voice. Hardly seems fair that you should be such a talented writer AND singer. Some people get all the luck. ;)

  • I'm just going to comment on your amazing singing.. : ) haha, seriously, it's amazing. Personally I don't hate Love Never Dies. Obviously it has a LOT of flaws, but I'm not organized to compose a rant. So basically, I thoroughly enjoyed this video.

  • This is the best thing i've seen in a long time!

I bought the CD a few months ago, listened to it,

    and was so dissipointed.

Your voice is amazing! I love the begginning when you sang the "Ohhh" part and said it was the best thing in the entire play- cause it's true :P

  • you are pretty and so is your voice. Try audacity.. you can devocalize the orchestrated version of the original soundtrack. Then you will have back up.

  • @Broadwayzoso Thank you doll! I enjoyed your singing as well.

  • @stitchgrl777

I saw LND in the Adelphi and found it very enjoyable and far superior to the CD. When the show comes to the states, see it before you make judgements.

Don't see it as a gothic romance like Phantom1, but as an tale of redemption, You'll be far happier that way.

  • @SavageBroadcast Im absolutely going to see it! I will watch anything phantom especially ALW-phantom. This vid is kind of tongue in cheek and no "phan", myself included, can deny ourselves Erik/Christine doe-eyed moments;)

  • Your voice is BRILLIANT! I COMPLETELY AGREE!!!! I love fanfics- there are some BRILLIANT AUTHORS! The plot from the book is atrocious, I absolutely HATE IT! Stupid greedy bastard! But I LOVE your rant, it's SO funny! But the melodies are just so boring- or lack of melodies! ;) Also, the words- are AWFUL! I LOVED your rant though!

    -Angie;)

  • My cat has just fallen in love with my monitor :-P

That's some great singing, though! You obviously take lessons :-)

It's such a pity that Glenn Slater decided to go all "Mills and Boon" on us with the lyrics to "Once Upon Another time" and "Beneath a Moonless Sky".

ROFL at "The Heart is Slow to Learn"!

  • @richard20bris you're cat? Did you name it Ayesha? Haha. LOL at Mills and Boon.

I remember not liking the Heart is Slow to Learn at some ALW concert where Elaine Page sang it. And then I didn't like it when I heard it again at another concert. Then I heard "The Apartment", and I still don't like that song. I cannot get the other songs out of my head though. Guilty!

  • @stitchgrl777 Yes, "Beneath a Moonless Sky" is VERY Mills & Boon - soppy and romantic, but kind of graphic at the same time. After the Phantom and Christine sing all those excruciating lines about touching and caressing one another, we hear that they did it "again, and then again...beneath a moonless sky"!!! (OMG, where is my bucket?!?!).

As for the song Love Never Dies, they might as well have called it "This Is My Swansong" because you can tell just from the title that Miss Daae is doomed!

  • @richard20bris I've never heard the term "Swang Song" but I gathered the meaning from your comment. It's a beautiful phrase!

I hate the predictable moment of Doom. I makes me want to stop watching.

  • @stitchgrl777 swan song - dying swan

  • @GlompErik I like your user name

  • @stitchgrl777 why thank you- i like your singing:)

  • Brilliant! You rule!

You're so right - a prequel musical based on Kay's novel would have lots of potential. I've been plotting that idea in my head since I was 16. :)

  • I think we've all been plotting that since they were 16 :) It's not the most perfect story in the world, but it's a LOT BETTER than this storyline.

    And thank you =)

  • Everyone, The Love should Die anti-sequel facebook page has been shut down by someone!!!!!!!!!! Make another video, blog, get the word out and demand our right to free speech to be against this!!!!!!!!!

  • how can it be shut down? Whoever opened the account should have sole rights to it. That's F-ed up. Even though -- I don't think Love Should Necessarily Die. I think Love COULD Live in a GOOD *I repeatGOOD* work of art.

  • True but I have absolutely no idea what happened. It's also true love itself shouldn't die, just this effing show! Some good music yeah but the plot and moral is completely contradictory to the original

  • Heavenly voice! Great job!

I believe that song, 'Beneath a Moonless Sky' was a wonderful song...and you sing it better than Sierra! I swear you do!

You did a great job! Melodic rants are great, aren't they? I might consider doing my own...but probably just a plain rant. I agree with all the points you made.

    Brava!

    ~ELW

  • You're so sweet! This rant was just at the top of my head. That's why nothing rhymed and it's all over the place. I have SO much more to say.

Anyway, I liked Sierra in this musical. I actually prefer LND's Christine's to POTO's Christine because I pity her after she gets abused by Raoul and seems like pretty much a single mom. It tugged my heart strings. Not that it's good that the story is focused on HER when ERIK is the one who actually dies. Of Love. MORE than 10 years ago.

  • Just a question, but does anyone else think that Beneath a Moonless Sky sounds exactly like the melody from the 2004 phantom movie when Christine is heading down to the carriage to go to the cemetery? There are no words at that time just an orchestra. It has been bugging me and I want to know if I'm the only crazy one lol

  • It's the SAME melody. Lol, I noticed that as soon as I heard the song.

Actually, I loved that graveyard orchestration in the movie and hoped it would have been on the soundtrack. We get a full blown version of it here.

Have you noticed that Dear Old Friends is the same melody in the beginning as "He's with me even now, you're hands are cold, all around me..." ?

  • So I'm not crazy! lol yes I loved that part of the movie and wondered where that song came from. :)

And yep I have noticed that. I kind of like how they took little bits of the melodies of phantom and gave them a new style to match that of the sequel.

  • Amazing voice!

  • You have such a beautiful voice! <3

  • hahahah you're the best!! :D

  • What a beautiful voice you have:) I hate the whole idea of the musical, but I'd admit some songs, at least the melody, (some of the lyrics are quite bad) are nice. Just hoping it does not tarnish the reputation of the original, at least that the power of the TRUE story is unaffected.

  • Your voice is beautiful! Funny too, I like you better then Sierras' as well. I can't believe Lloyd Webber and them read and approved of the plot and lyrics, I can't even grip my mind around it! And people on fan sites are actually praising it! My mind has been blown, but this makes me feel much better. :)

  • You have an incredible voice and this was great. I can't believe the predictability absurdity of this sequel either but even this play doesn't follow the movie at all.

    -Christine died of old age

-Raoul was still rich so he didn't become a drunken gambler

-Neither Madame Giry nor Meg went to Coney Island or killed Christine. At least there's that.

  • I wish I had your voice.

But yeah how many times do they say Beautiful in that song? It becomes like a drinking game haha.

  • If it were a drinking game, we'd be drunk 10 min into it.

    One shot for every time..

-Raoul is about to backhand Christine

    -One hears the word "Beautiful"

-Gustave creepily and inappropriately screams "YEEEESS!!!"

-you ask yourself -- why does Madame Giry have a heavy french accent, Meg an american accent, and Christine and Raoul British accents?

-you can't tell whether it's Erik or Raoul singing

And Thanks for your comment ;-)

  • @stitchgrl777 Drunk within 10 min and severe liver damage to last a lifetime lol

  • You need to be the Christine...you're voice is beautiful.

  • LOL! Superb singing too! I think I prefer your voice to Sierras

  • @PhantomReviews coming from you, Reviewer, that is a HUGE compliment.

Yes, so anyone who hasn't watched PhantomReviews stuff, needs to do it NOW. And you're far far funnier.

  • LOL! I take it you hated it, stitchy-baby.

+1 on trying to explore Erik's past. I wanted that more than WTF he did on Coney Island.

  • I don't hate it. I don't love it. Mehhh.

No one wants to know what Erik did on Coney Island because Erik was never ON Coney Island. :) Thanks for your comments Saty!

  • So beautiful!! I'm honestly surprised that your videos don't have more views!

  • Hey! I got you guys :) Good enough for me.

  • this was so beautiful! your voice is so gentle yet powerful!

  • Your voice is so pure, beautiful and very soothing

  • @KarmicBook Aw thank you!
