i live in los angeles california and the current weather is sunny but in the far off distance of the rocky mountains you could see massive frightening armageddon looking cumulonimbus (sorry 4 spelling) clouds hovering over the mountains! and i just heard some loud thunder claps! it looks beautiful and scary! :)

@xPURPLExKILLERx Isn't Mother Nature great?? Free fireworks rock! I've always wanted to go on a "Tornado Tour" (if I had 3 grand that is lol)..and would be just as happy seeing a great mid-west T-storm as I would be seeing a tornado. Love it!

i was at a friends house in west hurley by the ashokan resivior during this storm and he has a windmill in his front yard and we watched lightning strike it about 15 times. This was by far the worst storm i have ever experienced in ulster county and i have lived here all of my life.

last night around 12:30 am we had an immense thunderstorm move through my area. the weatherman predicted around 1:00 or 2:00 am but he was way off. we had thunder almost as loud as this. i even heard it coming. i think it lasted at 30 minutes. =]

yes. im in onondaga county. yes i do remember the labor day storm of 1998. tree came through my house. my whole family had to go to my towns firehouse. my firehouse is 2 miles from where i live. GREAT VIDEO!

Where in NY do you live? I live in Ulster County..about 5 minutes outside of Woodstock. If you don't live anywhere near here, this would be the reason why you don't remember this.
