  • This guitar is a multi-scale instrument. The term "Fanned Fret" was invented by Ralph Novax. However, the concept is several hundred years old. It is only necessary on instruments with a large number of strings - hence a piano has its strings at different scale lengths for different notes (think of a grand piano as a blatant example).

  • thats brilliant

  • Fanned Fret is the correct term

  • Neat set-up on that. I thought the standard Fender scale length was 24 and 3/4?

  • @aculturemind That's the Gibson scale. Fender is 25 1/2.

  • I think he should change his name to Rusty Un-Cooley.

  • @jeffinlv you should change your name to "jeffinately gay"

  • @jeffinlv not only are you a troll but a very unfunny troll crawl back in your hole troll we don't want you here

  • ha ha "this is an 8 string guitar if you take off 2 strings it would be a 6 string guitar" wow.

  • @Yourmomathon lol obviously if u listen closely he mentioned which of the 2 strings u would take off for it to be tuned the same as a 6 string, but yeah it sounded kinda funny

  • @Yourmomathon To non-guitar people it may seem that an 8 string is a different instrument. It was clarification for those people.

  • "Getting those dog notes..."

    haha this guy is awesome.

  • How very interesting :)

Haha i think he would have got in trouble with dean for advertising this guitar, thats why he had to sneak in that last part :P

  • Its all about physics lol.
