Those 2003 to 2005 are all all wheel drive. This does'nt look 03 to 05 model so it might or might not be awd. Hard to tell unless you see the rear that it is indeed 4wd. Since 2006 they start making the 2wd and to distinguised between the two is they put a 4wd emblem on the rear.
Pilots do have 4 wheel drive. I can't believe the uninformed idiots there are on the internet. The rear of the pilot has 2 clutches that are electomagnetic conected to the CV shafts. Therefore without the ECM calling for the 4 wheel drive they will just freewheel. However their is an oil pump the pumps oil throught the bearings. So without the driveshaft turning it can't pump fluid. This is why they say to only tow on a flatbed. Next time do a little research.

@NOZblast2 yep but he didn't.....another perfect car ruined....my dad bought one today and its a 2008 model with VTM-4 and they dealership told us that if anything went wrong with the car you need a flat bed not a regular tow truck....thats because the rear differential is locked and you grind it up while towing even though its a front wheel drive truck, it's still connected from front to back with a drive shaft and thats how you mess up the 4wd system...

ive been towing and repoing for several years now and i have found that the drive terrian on cars are alot harder to break then most people think. I dragged a truck for over 5miles while being shot at and it did nothing but pop the tire and mess up a rim

Mrrogers. I have been on the Pepo business for 8 years. Unfortunately that is not how is works. You are correct that the damage is sometimes charges to the customer. However if they redeem the collateral then they can make a legal claim against the bank or repo company, then sue for damages. This happens alot because they are trying to get revenge on the repo company.
It's fairly common for them to drag one with the e-brake on. They drag it a couple blocks away, far enough that the owner can't come out shooting, then release the ebrake.
