  • the

  • Smh...custom upper intake/LT/HFC/MUFFLER with 5" inlet and dual 2.5 outlets. NO STOCK SS/SRT MESSING WITH YOU.G

  • Can you put that same cold air induction system that comes standard on the GT on the V6 too?

  • the 2010-present Ford Mustang is assembled in

    Flat Rock, Michigan, USA

  • I,ve always been a MoPar guy ,still have 71 and 72 Challenger and Charger. When the 05 stang came out, I wanted one. New Challenger looks too heavy and too expensive,sooo...........just bought a Mustang.

  • The Challenger is still the best

  • i never really understood the whole Mustang/Camaro rivalry. IMO you can't compare them as they are not in the same league.

Mustangs are sports cars: small, nimble, and quick!

Camaros are muscle cars: big, brawny, and powerful!

  • @knytrydr73 ok no. The Mustang and Camaro are both Pony Cars. Back in the day they were both muscle cars.

  • @knytrydr73 Because all three cars follow the exact same princibles. V8, RWD, 2 door, and to be a two seater masked as a 4 seater family car (exactly like the old days). Granted, they've all obviously gone their seperate ways as to how to display those points. But they all basically have the same purpose.

  • the 5.0 is back!!!!

  • 300 lbs makes a huge difference in the world of sports cars.

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!! i want 1

  • The rear end still looks like total shit.....

  • Too bad its a Ford; a pricey one at that.

  • Well no shit the mustang is faster than a vette thats why we have the Ford GT to destroy the vette and one more thing I-rocZ who? they stopped making that shit for a good reason back in the 80's the Mustang has been here since 64 and has never been cancelled in production unlike the camaro.

  • Iroc-Z for life!!

  • @13slot28 then ur gay 4 life. JK

  • if you on a 2010 mustang then get ready to lose $1,700 from your bank account because you will be hit with the gas guzzler tax. i should know i own a 2010 shelby mustang. i just did my taxes and had to put in the gas guzzler tax as my deduction.

  • I like how they compare the GT and then show pictures of the V6 Camaro and V6 Challenger and not the V8 trims of either

  • 2011 is going to rock.

V6 Mustang will have 305 HP

V8 Mustang GT will have 400 plus HP

The Camaro and Challenger have lost every comparison test they have been in with just the 315HP GT, so imagine the butt kicking they will take against a Mustang GT with over 400HP !!

  • 5.0 baby.......it will be amazing

  • @sentra500 and the piece of shit mustang has lost every comparison it had with the corvette all the way back to the eighties and the C4 vette which by the way outperforms this joke and they are 20 years old. Yea stand behind a real winner here...

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 you're an idiot. Mustangs are not in the same league as a Corvette, so it's no surprise that Mustangs can't keep up with them. The Corvette (with exception of the overpriced ZR1) is a poor man's higher end sports car, and the Mustang is American muscle, rightfully competing with AND beating the Challenger and the Camaro. Think about how much you think you know before you speak. And this Mustang looks better than Corvettes anyway.... but what do I know??

  • @viperman1520 You are the true douchebag idiot because if someone pays $80k for a viper, and still can't compete with the Corvette's performance, with 10 cyls vs.8 either new all the way down to certain C-4's, model year to model year. including a new viper to 3 or 4, C4's I know of, and looks to looks the Vette to either the mustang or viper, opinions vary but you probably think a hard cock is sexy?

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 for the record, who said anything about the Viper? And I'm the "douchebag idiot" that doesn't know what he's talking about.... And way to bring out the big boys with that badass cock insult. You are exactly the kind of narrow minded fanboy I hate to waste my time arguing with.

  • @viperman1520 It comes from your screen name, I saw your pothetic home channel and even funnier is your actual picture, so you go stick your nose in a try to start shit with the bigboys because as in this case you got your nose bit off and ass handed to you then you want to run away and cry and if you knew what you were talking about MT and C/D both did shows testing the Corvette against the mustang and it was a laughable event.

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 Yeah because they're not in the same league.... like I said. Who's the big boy here? It's clearly not you with the childish and horribly put insults.... and just because my name has viper in it doesn't make it pertinent to the topic dipshit. That would be like me tying your "big green leaf" to this conversation. Wow.

  • @viperman1520 You threw the first insult to me without doing your homework first. Does as you say and clearly detailed with videos in my profile an "idiot" own 21 bowling centers, 16 cars of which 4 of them are vettes and including as you said an over priced new ZR-1 that I'm picking up tomorrow afternoon? For you had approached me in a different tone but you all make the biggest mistake that is said about business and life too, "Never underestimate your opponent."

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 Well you clearly have the balls to underestimate all of yours pal. And I could give a shit about your bowling centers and cars you egotistical dickhead. Having all that doesn't bar you from being a complete fucking idiot. And for the record, I did do my homework and I am right, you're just too stubborn to think. Have fun with being a smartass buddy.

  • @viperman1520 At least I have balls you tulip trollicking cocksucking sissy faggot, it's obvious just but looking at your queer ass live at home with mommy virgin face who makes gay ass sissy song videos, oh and nice home channel you got there with all 18 friends and I know you were at my channel did you see all the hot ass girls I have for friends? They want to be around men and money neither apply to you so you just keep being jealous vipergirl.

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 Well said. You're 42 right?

  • @sentra500 the camaro 2ss has 426hp. check your numbers.

  • @Ronnie51026 so? its still 2 tons, its a tank man, it got KILLED by the GT 2011 Mustang

  • @ADD8oi No it didn't. What are you talking about? The camaro ss DESTROYED that puny mustang. The only mustang that won is the shelby and that is 100 hp more. the new super camaro will be a better match for it. And the gt is only 300 lbs lighter than it.

  • @Ronnie51026 us joking right? the 2011 Mustang GT goes 0-60 in 4.4s, does the 1/4 mile in 12.6s, pulls a .97g on the skid pad....the 2010 SS camaro does 0-60 in 4.8s, 1/4 mile in 13s flat, and pulls a .92g on the skid pad, the camaro go killed, nothings changing in 2011, 2012 the only thing different is that the 556hp Z28 is coming out, with a projected 0-60 of 4.2s, still getting owned by the mustang, wtf the camaro didnt even touch the 2011GT LOL!

  • @ADD8oi youtube some races. The camaro creams the stang every time!

  • @Ronnie51026 lol in every race the mustaang pulls hard, hell ive raced a bunch of 2ss's in my new 5.0.....they lost big time

  • @ADD8oi Now then. Thats not fair. Most camaro owners expect thier cars to win, and don't put real race skill in with it. There are other aspects than the car than just numbers, it also depends on the driver. you are either an amazing racer or the other guy was not trying.

Was it a quarter mile or actual race track?

  • @Ronnie51026 lol whats the difference? the mustang is actually a much better car around the track, but i race sfrom stoplights and ive been to milan raceway once and pulled a 12.66 on factory stock with a 6spd and 3.73 factory diff, no camaro can do that stock, the best i saw was a 2ss that did a 12.98, the camaro is 2tons, mustang weighs 3600lbs....thats a huge weight difference and the mustang makes the same power....derrrrrrrr

  • @ADD8oi Just weight and horsepower numbers do not say anything about the actual car. Such as the camaro ss has a 0-60 of 4.6 while the gt has 4.9. And the camaro ss weighs 3800 lbs not 2 tons. The camaro handles better as has better suspension. Independent suspension instead of the mustangs live axel and basic suspension (the name of which does not come to me). The camaro has a standard 3.45 differential.

  • @Ronnie51026 the mustang has 3.73 gears out of the factory, the camaro does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds at best and weighs in at 3892lbs 4000lbs with a driver, the IRS in the camaro cause it to have a poor 1/4 mile time because its not a straight line speed system, the mustang GT with its live rear axle is as good as an e92 M3, the camaro is again antiquated and slow, the 5.0 mustang has a 4.4 second 0-60, if you dont believe me then bring ur maro and ill race my 5.0, french road mate

  • @ADD8oi the camaro ss, with the more powerfull than gt mustang v8 6.2liters of 427 hp awesome, has a 0-60 of 4.6 seconds as of the inside line drivers did. The camaro uses more technology than that antique mustang has. Such as being one of the only muscle cars with independent suspension. And the mustang gt has 0-60 of 4.9 as of the motortrend road test.

live rear axels cripple nearly everything in a car. And the with driver count isn't fair. but then that means the mustang is 3900...

  • @Ronnie51026 ....youre pulling numbers out ur ass, go look at any 2011 review, 4.4s 0-60 on the mustang with a 3500lbs curb weight, the live axle is a drag setup, ill just let you think you know anything about cars youre clearly deluded or 12

  • @ADD8oi motortrend (. )com/roadtests/coupes/112_0904_2010_ford_mustang_gt_test/index.html

  • @ADD8oi I do believe you're correct on that. The GT500 had a ''as tested'' 0-60 run of about 4.2 and would be much lower if not for it having a habit of spinning its tires from first all the way through third. And yes, the LRA is intended for drag, but the other fact is they're cheap, dependable, easy as hell to work on, and cheap and quick to replace and you'd have to do some major damage to actually break one as opposed to a IRS system.

  • @toyoracing89 yeah the problem with the Shelbys are the massively low profile rear tires, for the power they make, im sorry but 25 thick tires are worthless if youre making anything over 350hp, and the cheapness is true, also the fact that the aftermarket community and choices are massive

  • @ADD8oi Very true. But have you ever watched how much actual contact patch they have from the factory? It rivals that of a Honda Civic...most GT500 owners suggest that before even driving off the showroom floor that you should get wider tires with thicker sidewalls. But yes, it's cheap, and you can put loads of power in a stock rear end and never have to worry about blowing it out, and if you somehow do, it's a quick change.

  • @toyoracing89 they are wide, but like my buddy's older gt500, an 08, the front tires are thicker than the rears, which is even more pronounced in the 2011 GT500 with its 20 inch rims, they are however great due to their practicality, you dont want to pay in the 4 digits if you snap your rear axle, the 8.8" is used universally in fords new and old line-up, thankfully the V6 has upgraded to it aswell as a locking diff, Domestic FTW lol

  • @ADD8oi Lol, true that bud. But as I said before...you would really have to do something seriously stupid to snap an axle. Because Ford spent a lot of time debating which to go with, LRA, or IRS and LRA was the best alternative. If IRS was so great and dependable, why is it that not even the lightest duty of pick ups or SUV's use them? Because they can take a shit ton of punishment and still go for hundreds of thousands of miles. I thought it was a 9'' with 3.73's?

  • @toyoracing89 i used to have the 4.0 mustang which had the 7.5" LRA, snapped like a twig after TTs, but i agree, nope ford uses the 8.8" differential in its production vehicles now, well all except the explorer 4.0 and rangers, IRS is great handling but it becomes flimsy under massive stress, the likes of which trucks and drag cars see

  • @sentra500 Too bad the Camaro has 312 HP V6, and 426 V8

  • @81TransAmJunkie to bad the camaro sucks dick

  • LOL. 300 lbs is significant. If you don't think so, gain 300 lbs and then talk about how you feel. Cars don't like extra weight either. It doesn't require premium and the GT never has. Also the GT will get more mpg while making this power making it more practical. Been a corvette fan for 27 years. I would never buy a Camaro over an 08+ LS3 C6. The Corvette slaughters the Camaro in any performance category. I like this new Mustang though.

  • @Marc99GT thank you for not being one of those idiot chevy boys, while the Camaro looks edgy and futuristic the Mustang is a much better performance car, pulling better number than an e92 M3, but still no comparison even for the GS corvette, idk why anybody in the right mind would ever compare the Corvette and Mustang, the only logical comparison is a GS c6 Vette against the 2011 Shelby, its close but the vette is a supercar, the Mustang is a muscle car lol

  • The mustang is just really an old chassis with good looks.I'm a gm guy but I'll gladly drive a mustang. The 5.0 for next if ford delivers will probaly use premium gas.the camaro doesn't making it more practical and cost less to own.yea sure the mustangs have an weight advantage but only by 300 pounds with the 4.6

  • love everything but, jesus, from the back it looks like a lame little sedan...

  • you can have ALL the HP you want out of a 2.oL engine withouth the tourqe

  • @HAIDARAVEN and TERRIBLE turbo lag.

  • Umm I think i've just became a Ford guy....

    5.0L Gt 412hp.... 390tq.... WOW!

I used to go crazy over the SRT8s 6.1L 425hp and 425tq but..... 5.0 vs. 6.1... how does 5.0L make as much power as a

6.0L+ engine. I'm Very Impressed as now I do not have to buy a European V8 with smaller displacement that makes plenty hp.

  • its like asking how can a 2.0 engine put out close to 400hp without the need to super charge it. It all depends on what you work with. You can have the biggest engine in the world and still only push out little numbers or the same with the smaller engines. Ford is known for its advanced engines over the GMs old style for push rod (idk if they still do that). It works but its less efficient. I never really liked the Mustang really cause it was so under powered. Next year will be different.

  • Thanks fo clearing that up for me lol

and so have have I. I always said why the 300 hp or 315hp mark where is the 340+ hp mark and so many people drive them too

  • I wouldn`t go so far as to say the DOHC is more efficient then a pushrod OHV motor. They both have their own advantages and disadvantages.

What efficiency are you talking about?

  • Not really sure but I in the reviews of the engines compared to the chevy engines they always said it was more efficient. It never said why but I'm just quoting Motor Trend and Car and Driver.

  • @Stevenhiggles

    Understood

  • Would have looked better with the other rear.

  • Ford made the new Mustang too expensive. A convertible GT lists for over $36,000. That is ridiculous for such an antiquated vehicle.

  • INFLATION!!!!!!!!

  • @jeepsbetter09 Thank the Federal Reserve!

  • Mustangs lick my sack wide open

  • @13slot28 really? wow

  • yes. Iroc-Z for lyf

  • @13slot28 plus a 23 or 24 year old Iroc looks a thousand times better than this thing they want to pass as a sports car, and didn't GM have over 400 horses like 18 years ago with a thing called a ZR-1 and ford is just achiveing that in 2011?

  • @FLLMTR I do not think that the Mustang is overpriced at all :)

  • @FLLMTR I think 36,000 is a decent price for what you get. it's smooth enough ride to be a DD, and the gas mileage is amazing for the power, there's alot of interior features... such as the navigation with microsoft sync.. ac is easy to control... i'd rather have a top of the line 5.0 then a new BMW or Mercedes...

  • @FLLMTR The Mustang is still the best and the cheapest. You're not comparing it to the others. Camaro = $24,000. Challenger = $25,000. 370Z = $27,000. Mustang = $22,000.

  • yea the O10 looks like a raped charger

  • I LOVE IT!! im getting mine next year.. im waiting for the 5.0 =D

  • smart decision

  • I can't wait to get a new mustang, maybe tomorrow.

  • This is the I want in 2010, I wish.

  • This would look so good if they made it a fastback. I hope they do that to the next generation.

  • the presenter sucks

  • Yeah, wel. Some poeple like Obama Motors more than Fords....

  • What is obama motors? You say it like Obama took ownership. Like obama has control over our government.

  • The Mustang maybe is a popular car in US, but that's it. The Camaro and Genesis Coupe are the eligible sports/performance vehicles of "Canadian Car of the Year 2010". Mustang is not on the list at all.

  • Who cares u Should the Performance numbers By now...!

  • A half-assed "road test". Where are the performance numbers?

  • One thing about the GT I don't like is that the pony emblem on the grille is dark, I wish they were visible like the S197s :(

  • It's going to be the sequential turn signals that sell the car- I've seen a new one and that's ALL the girls could talk about!!!

  • Oooo is that so? You just gave an idea ;)

  • It's true- I was driving a whole bus full of flight attendants!

  • hey man when i saw those LED sequential turn lights I was like DAMN! and its standard too!

  • I tell you what- IF they played any more tricks on making some cars with exclusive equipment, eg: ONLY on the "GT Premium", etc... they (North American Auto Industries) would truly die! If they TRULY do not learn their lesson people will be test-driving Hyundai Genesis Coupes instead, mark my words... I grew up in the 80's and 90's where every US car played tricks on the consumer with up-marketing anything desirable like bigger wheels, stereos, leather seats, etc... ONLY in the TOP MODEL.

  • Honda does that on their pilot.

  • They are about the last of the Japanese old-thinking car company- witness the old-man styling of the new Accord, no new "Prelude", etc... Actually Honda does that on EVERY car. Hyundai and Kia are the biggest threat in the next few years... sit in a new Hyundai Genesis Coupe!

  • I think toyota does it too. Yea I agree that hyundai has a couple good cars but not all of them are good. I don't think kia will get enough supporters just because of how ugly and not very competitive their older cars are/were. But ford is also a triple threat now, if they keep the upgrades coming like the soft materials in fusion and mustang they are going to get alot better reviews.

  • Agreed!

  • Ford, to my knowledge has borrowed ZERO bailout money from the government...while Chevy cried their eyes out and basically put hard-working people who worked for them for decades on a layoff list. Ford, plays the game right with making what they know and how it will sell and keeping the relationship between Volvo and Mazda healthy. Ford now is taking the gloves off against Dodge and GM, and nothing shows it more then in their Mustang cars. Exactely how a car should be built!

  • Ford destroyed the relationship with mazda before word of Ford needing money got out. My company gets discounts with all ford products and when I tried to get a mazda for has specifically on their site said that they no longer are with mazda. This was around august

  • *And Taurus. Haha

  • Of course, goes without saying.

  • What did you reply to me about? It says i didnt comment on this. Haha

  • yeah but they dont do that anymore. You can get a nice mustang for like 23 grand before incentives and that has everything, 17 in wheels, spoiler, stickers, power door locks, cool tailights, etc. Only the europeans do that crap where you have to buy a car loaded in order to get all the cool stuff. Audi has those new LED front lights on the A4 which look amazing but you have to get the top model screw that European cars suck I'm not paying 15 grand more for something thats standard on a Ford.

  • yep and m glad to own one my self ask me and ill put it up

  • ford did a mighty fine job in the design dept. of the '10 mustang. imo, it's one of the best looking mustangs yet.

  • Don't make a mistake and buy the 2010, you might regret it. I'm willing to bet the 5.0 will go into the 2011, and it'll be worth the wait.

  • Actually, the ecoBoost 3.7 Litre V6 twin turbo that is currently in the Taurus SHO will be going to the '11 Mustang. Aside from the engine, that antenna in the rear really sours the look.

  • dude thats exactly what im waiting for

  • Something about the way this guy talks irks me.

I'm between the 2010 Camaro and 2010 Mustang. I love the sound of GM's LS V8 engines and I favor the Camaro's interior, but the Mustang seems to be the better all-rounder.

I'd probably have to get both. In manual, of course. I'd also want the shift knob shown in this video. I can't stand the standard shift knob. The new Camaro is too common where I live now. I'd kinda like to just slink by in a 2010 Mustang. It's not "shouty" about looks

  • Also, the GT500 looks good, but it still doesn't perform as well as a 500+hp car should.

The new CTS-V leaves it for dead. And in a straight line or around a corner, a base LS3 C6 would walk all over it.

FORD. WORK ON THE GT500 SO I CAN BUY IT IN KONA BLUE

  • Man i love this piece of art!!!

  • such an amazing improvement, I'm impressed.

  • Agreed. This is the only Mustang I've ever liked. Save the original.

Not only does this Mustang manage to compete with the +111hp Camaro... it also HANDLES!!! AMAZING!!

And it looks good. Less "boy racer" just... cleaner.

I'm a diehard GM fan, and while I love the new Camaro, I have to admit, Ford really pulled off a great car here.

Why didn't they do this sooner?

  • compettion is hot so they had to make the new one good. damn good. i mean the camaro is and always was king, so itll be the one to buy. but if u luv mustangs and i do, even though i bought an lt4 camaro this new mustang is the way to go. especially this amazing interior

  • I SEEK MONSTER PERFORMANCE!

  • Ford is a great company for high value, reliable cars but I just wish they did more on the interior. They're always a full generation behind in interior design: while the 2010 mustang interior is a big improvement over the 05-09 model, compared to competitors like 370z and 200 camaro, the new interior is more like a good interior of a last gen car. It's not even a cost issue; somehow the higher management must be really conservative about these things or something. Exterior is great though.

  • The Camaro interior? HUH!! Have you even sat in ether of these cars? Dont think so. The Mustang while not perfect is far superior to the Camaros plastic door panel that warps into the dash...

  • Agreed. The interior is enough to push me over to the Camaro. It's better than the last one, but... nothing to write home about.

  • the shifter is just absolutely just butter smooth and the clutch is soft as a baby's bottom! haha

  • The thing I love about the mustang is how basic it is. This is what cars should be.... just cars. So many of the imports are just crammed with technology that you forget what driving is all about. I own an 07 GT with a 5 speed manual and it is just the best. Just pure and simple motoring.

  • Now would they give the cheaper V6 model more power than the GT of the same model year?

I have heard that the 2011-2012 GT will be getting more power to compete better with the new Camaro.

  • There nice cars. I own an 06 GT 5 spd only problem is NOT ENOUGH POWER. I would wait to buy until 2011 when the 5.0 returns.

  • I don't think it would take a whole lot to increase horsepower on your 06 GT. I beleive if you just replace a few parts, like the exahust, it would increase your horsepower quite a bit. There are other things that can be changed as well to increase horsepower without spending a whole lot of money. Maybe ditch the stock air filter, that may help too. If I can think of anything else, I'll make sure to hollar back at you.

  • +1! Have an 05 GT w basic bolt ons

  • how u know 20111 will bring 5.0?

  • its now official that the 2011 mustang will get the 5.0 that produces 400 hp! and also for the V6 it gets a new 3.7 Duratec that has 260-290 hp!

  • you serious? wow, if you wouldn't mind man, email me back where you heard that.

  • THE OLD (4.9)5.0 is not returning and it never will..Its gonna be a MODULAR "5.0"engine,,,pushrods are done!!!

  • hello sir! can i have the '10 Shelby GT500 please?! thank you.....

  • ok that's it am in love with the mustang again! I still have about 2 yrs until the new engines comes in...i'll save up for u Mustang :)

  • this new born pony will be another eye-catching for modern muscle hope the dynamic trio (Mustang, Challenger, Camero) will have a fight of the title; witch muscle is better?! but for now, Long Live Ponies!!

  • The newer Mustang looks a lot softer than the 2005 Mustang. I loved the edgy character of the '05 Mustang than this one. It's still a very nice car. I just prefer the more nostalgic Mustangs, especially '60s-type Mustangs and the '05 Mustang.

  • COOL

  • good looks inside and out plus good performance,

but it looks like it sits up pretty high, $28,000 base price for the GT :O plus for its size the 4.0 v6 is kinda lacking compared to other cars like the 250hp 3.5 v6 in the challenger or the 300hp v6 in the upcoming camaro, or even the 210hp 2.0t in the new G coupe

if i was in the market for a sporty coupe i would consider the Hyundai Genesis coupe as another rival for the mustang
