How-to guide to refilling KR808D-1 or Vapor King cartomizers

What is the difference in approach with filling a blank. Do you do the same? Do you have to let it sit for a few hours before use? FYI, I will be using reduced pg/vg mix from JuicyVapor and a blank Somkeless Image cartomizer with a Volt sealed battery.

Just picked myself up a KR808D-1 and I have to say, I am really liking it. The drawback is the next-to-flavorless cartomizers I got with it! They say they're supposed to be vanilla flavor, but I hardly get ANY flavor of any kind! Is this because I got the very light (6mg) strenght, or is it more likely that I just have cheap e-juice? I hope it's just the juice, more is on the way, and your vid was really helpful for how to refill the cartomizers, which seemed difficult at first glance.

@wendighoul I have the same problem too. I like the vapor amount I get from the kr808d1, but the flavor is either horrible or non existent. I have tried refilling, and that seems to work fairly well. Ive got a 510 type too..from a good company and all I can say is highly overrated, especially when refilling my carts. Best I've had so far is the super mini (Blu,Volcano, Revolver) styles. Those have the best flavor so far imo, which is what I go for, is flavor.

I am a pack-a-day smoker looking to quit, having trouble so I decided on an ecig. Just ordered a KR808D-1 starter kit from litecigusa, along with 10 reusable cartomizers, 2 different formulations of 10mL 16mg menthol juice & a 5mL syringe which I didn't know if I'd need, but it was $3. $62 for everything PPD, I hope it will be worth it.

@Cr0wblackDream It worked alright, doesn't generate much "smoke" and one of the two batteries that came kinda broke with days. It still worked, but you'd have to reallly push on the button to make it work. I actually gave up on ecigs for the same reason I never liked any other nicotine delivery system (snus, patch, lozenges, snuff, etc.) that I have tried... none of them are close enough to cigarettes to satisfy my urge to smoke. Now I buy tubes and tobacco and make my own cigs.

This was VERY helpful! I just got my KR808D-1 PCC kit with empty carts and ejuice in the mail and wasn't quite sure how to fill and refill them, but I went step-by-step following your directions exactly and it was perfect. I've seen other how-to-refill videos but this one was by far the best one, it was good to be able to see the close ups because the pieces are so small. Thank you for the advice and happy vaping. :)

Couple of questions:

Roughly how long does a filled cartomizer last? How many times would you say they can be refilled before being tossed? I like the idea of having a new atomizer each time. This could be really cost saving if you can get three days worth of vaping out of a cartomizer, including refilling :)

How many times can you refill a cartomizer before the atty is shot?

If you wanted to refill the cartomizer with a different flavor, for instance, you no longer had the menthol cartomizer but you wanted to vape butterscotch; is there a more thorough cleaning process to make sure you don't get minty butterscotch, or do you have to replace the batting?

Just ordered my kr808. I have been using a No7 and a 501, I can change the batting in those. Is it possible to change the batting in the kr808? If not, does it get stale and nasty after a while?

I agree 100% with new empty or washed and dried used cartomizers. it's pointless with a freshly used however, as the wick is still moist from it's previous load of juice. If you dont let brand new or washed and dried cartomizers soak however, they'll roast like instantly.

What is a Cartomizer? I saw SilverBullet website sells it. Isit like an auto drip system so you dont have to refill for a long time?

@jamil1985 :: a cartomizer is a atomizer and a cartridge all in one.. They combined the two because a lot of people had problems with their atomizers they would die out in a roughly week.. so combining the two solved this, every time you change your cartridge it has a new atomizer in it as well :-)

Thanks for the video, this actually turned me on to VK after getting annoyed with dripping/carts on my 510. Also, this helped me with the prefilled cartomizers that seemed like they were duds. I just opened them up and re centered the atomizer and they started working properly.

Actually if you're paying a lot of attention, you'll note that just before a cartomizer gets empty, it starts producing vapor with no or greatly diminished flavor *just* before the burnt taste. The slightest wisp of burnt is a clear sign to stop now...not vape again to be sure. New cartomizers are best for the "flavorless vapor" rule..after several refills they quit doing that for whatever reason.
