If ur looking for a giging amp, depending on ur price range and if u have a cabinet, take a look at the jcm 2000's or the bogner alchemist. like i said check out craigs list or ebay maby even a local pawn shop...
@urkingod The mg's are ok but they don't pack any punch, they're great practice amps but just aren't that good for giging. I recommend to look on kijiji or craig's list to find a better amp...
is that amp good for homepractice and has it a good tone for the price ? i would really like to buy one of them, could you tell me if its a good alternative to a tube marshall amp ? cheers ;)
You'd really have to try it yourself. I've heard mixed reviews about this amp. I really liked it, but it's not very versatile. If you'r looking for a classic type of distortion, aka Rand Rhoades type tone, then I'd recommend it. I found it was a little too loud for a at-home practice amp, but I never got a chance to use it for a jam. I don't have it anymore so I guess that tell you how much I liked it. I needed something a lot more versatile like a modeling amp.
@Aoloso I've got two of these heads and one of things I really like about them is how good the high gain sounds when played quietly. Records nicely too at low volumes.
Killer tone. Gibsons are always killer, even directly in a Behringer mixer...
