i spent 1200 to buy a 1500 worth pc, a year back, and it can still handle the newest games, battlefield 3, gta 4, and soon gta 5 will come out, assassins creed etc, all with more then 200 frames per second, no laggs, ;) you got a low end pc, now that you know that you dont have to look for games like gta 4 or new games, i dont know what games you do play. probely low qual.

You don't have 1500mb of video Ram, you probably only have 256mb, The other 1256mb of ram is shared memory (mostly useless for games)

if that doenst help try to reinstal or 'repair'

@modwebby UHM, chaning to 64 bit operating system wont increase performance by a noticable amount, you obviously dont know what you are talking about. to who ever asks why it runs bad its most likely because of your processor, to run this as good as a console would you would need atleast a 3.0 ghz quadcore processor.

@b0gdanel1 There is one easy way to find out if you can run almost any game on your pc. Just search 'Can I run It' on google and go on the first link. On the drop down menu search the game you want to know if you can run, in this case gta 4, and hit can i run it. The programme will scan yout pc and will tell you whether or not you can run it. If you cant run it, you will be told what you need to upgrade for it to run.

if u want gta 4 to run on a sucky com, just donload newest asi.loader, use note pad, write -safemode -frameLimit 60 -nomemrestrict -noprecache -minspecaudio

-renderquality 2 -shadowdensity 0 -norestrictions and save it as commandline, then put it in ur gta iv folder, that should get u to run gta iv on 20-50 fps on 512 mb graphic card, dual core
