I was at a Walmart looking for skids and mudflap this year. Pretty much all I saw was Bumblebees and repaints of other figures. AGHHH!!!! But luckily I found skids and the last mudflap in stock. But seriously, pretty all see is bumblebees at Target or Walmart or even Toy's R Us.

I understand where HASBRO is coming from. Transformers are made for kids and kids like Bumble bee so Hasbro makes more of them because kids buy them. Hasbro is concerned that they make money so they will continued. 1/3 of transformers fans are collecters but 2/3 are kids so if you think about it it makes sense.

I would take your premise a bit further and say that Hasbro/Takara have gone out of their way to not provide near the fair proportion of great figures ie warpath or windcharger in comparison to more garbage like Pcc or battle bots. It is easy to tell which figures are adored by fans like me if you just keep an eye on the out of stocks on every website that deal in transformers . i dont mind all of the bumblebees.hes one of the kids favorites so he normally sells well.the tf fanbase makes up possibly 5% of hasbros tf sales, if even. i try to limit the bbs though

The transformers market is waaay to flooded with BB. If you are a collecter investing in creating a collection BB is the last one you want to get, he's worthless, just too many on the market. Hasbro is using BB to get young kids to start collecting. I maybe have 5 or 6 total movie BBs out of the dozens that are out. Great vid man, liked.

hasbro assumed that bb was popular because he was the best mold of the 07 movie line. That by far doesn't make it good. There are enough bumblebees to fill an ocean now.

so far i only have one 70's, 80's movie bumblebee and one of the newer movie bumblebee from the 1st movie line. soon i will be buying the battle blades bb and that will be it for the 2nd movie line for bumblebee. when the 3rd movie line comes out i might get 1 bumblebee from that line but i dont know yet if i will.

nto to be a devils' advocate here, but, as nemesispredaking said, the kids love bumblebee, they loved him from the moment he took charge of Sam in the 2007 movie. this led to Bumblebee being saturated in other TF media. I'd be willing to guarantee you that if Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (the writers of the movies (and TF:Prime), had written in a different character in place of bumblebee, we'd be having the same issue now, but with that character.

Problem is, kids love BB & kids are the core market for Hasbro. That's one of the reasons I think the DOTM line has been "dumbed down" & given more "play value".

Parents don't want to spend money on toys that are to complicated, that kids won't play with. The past 4 xmas's, My wife's cousin's kid (he's 8) has gotten movie line toys & every Xmas. i have had to TF it for him & after a week he never plays with it again, because he can't TF it.

Frankly put the last few years I have gained a severe doubt on the marketing devision of hasbro, to the point of expecting that there are people active in it who actually want the Transformers line gone.

I have bought the two original Bee molds of 2007 and the legends, since then not a single one.

Sadly, Bumblebee is now the 'figurehead' of transformers.
