If you don't get that and buy into his sweet talk, you are really missing the meaning of this song. The video's dialogue highlights Drake's ridiculous playboy persona in this song. If you thought it was "sentimental," you must have missed some key lines like "My shirt ain't got no stripes but I can make your pussy whistle."

Kanye didn't "take" that one line and distort the songs meaning. Rather, Kanye fully understands the song and it's sexual connotations.
