I have to say thank you for this test. I play a lot of Diablo 2, where clicking is almost continuous, and the quieter the mouse the better. I live out in the middle of no-where though, sadly, so there are no stores near me that carry electronics. This makes it difficult to choose a mouse online like I've chosen my other gaming gear, without actually using it first.

This test helped me though.

I'd rather have a comparison of the cords. I once ordered the G9 and sent it back immediately cause I was annoyed by the cord - any cheap consumer mouse has a more flexible cord than that.

It depends on the placement of the microphone etc. Again, the difference is the same, G9 would be even more silent in your situation.

Most gaming mouse aren't wireless due to latency problems. The bandwidth of USB 2.0 is farther greater than the current wireless technologies (BlueTooth/IR/etc.)

I used Logitech G5 for 1.5 years and bought G9 couple days ago.I really, really, REALLY like this mouse with my fUnc Surface 1030 mousepad. It's like the good old Logitech Gaming Mouse which was in stores 7-8 years ago except G9 has 2 buttons. Buttons/scroll wheel are also comfortable to use. Really worth the money :)

I have two G7 mice and they worked quite nicely at first. After few months I noticed that I'm switching the batteries over every two days of gaming. Perhaps we should mod the battery and see if we can find a beefier calls that works better. :)

This is a tough one... I really liked the shape of the G5. I believe it is one of the best, if not the best design for my hand this far.

I haven't used the Copperhead so I can't comment on that. Sidewinder's side buttons are bit too far for my thumb so I don't like it that much.

NO NO NO NO NO NO G7 they are discontinuing due to battery life and problems with receivers. Between me and my friends we have about 10 G7 mice... All but 1 have had batteries that last about 20 min and that last one has constant freezes in the mouse.... Get a G5 if you like the G7 style just dont do the cordless
