Besides closing 4 businesses and two restaurants for three days-ruining several car windshields and making 12 people sick they continued to blast. Yes they were sighted and fined on six violations. And yes their insurance company DID HAVE TO PAY!!!!! and yes NEVERGIVE7 -my world does revolve around me,so go get back in bed with your momma and mind your own business.
In Texas it is illegal to sand blast within 500 feet or restaurants, businesses and public buildings without a shroud to collect the debris.Sand contains silica and the paint being blasted off the tank contained lead ,benzene and numerous other hazardous chemicals. They were asked to cease operations but continued until the AIR QUALITY CONTROL agents showed up.
There is such and agency-its called Environmental Protection Agency-air quality control division, and yes they have field agents. However they have no power to do anything so they may as well not exist!
in Texas there is the Texas Commision on Environmental Quality and not an environmental protection agency. If you are concerned about abrasive sand blasting and lead you should familiarize yourself with 29 CFR 1926.62
@tintdesignz if that were silica sand it would be black. that looks more like the dust from garnet sand, if it is actually sand I don't know what it is but definitely not silica. regardless, still bad for the cars, still shouldn't be breathing it even though I do often.
Sand gets lodged between windshield wiper blades and your windshield. It also get in the seals that keep water from entering your door. Every time you raise and lower you window you will cause massive scratches to appear. I worked in body shops for years. I know this for a fact. Also the airbourne pollutants are harmfull to humans and the stuff tracks thru your home on the bottom of your shoes. They should build a tent out of tarps to contain the flying sand.
haha I didn't even read the discription and I knew this was a complaint video. kick their asses
