Ferrets are illegal in some places only because if they escape into the wild and begin breeding, they will do VERY well in the wild and will mess up the ecosystem.

what do you do when your ferret has to use the bathroom .While you are traveling

keep them in a pet carrier and line it with newspaper, ferrets are usually very clean animals and will go at the back of the carrier and in a corner. hope this helps =)

@keepthiscode They'll generally use the cage. Keep disinfectant whipes on hand to dispose and clean the mess.

yes it is expensive u have 2 have about a 1000 or 2 dollars let alone 4 surgeries and u have 2 by shampoos food toys and it is very diffucult cause u have 2 be aware at all times where your ferret is but it is very fun having 1 but i dont have 1......yet

I have a pet guniea pig, and she smells bad, but shes not normal, as in not normal i mean she fat and lazy, my dad wants a pet ferret, so he said if i save up my money i could get one, "yeah right" but im hyper, and a ferret is a mini dog :D :D :D :D, maybe the ferret and guniea pig could live in the same cage "doubt it, the ferret would probably eat the guniea pigs food"

a ferret would attack the guinea pig D: its natural instinct it to kill smaller animals...and guinea pigs are smaller...and they do attack them so I sugest either waiting for your guinea pig to pass or selling it/ give it away

@BashProductions123 Reading about them and actually having them are 2 different stories. They're awesome pets but they require alot more attention than a cat that just roams around the house. You have to let them out 4+ hours a day and make sure they're active. They've got alot of things to look out for (illness wise) that alot of people over look. All things aside, they are amazing pets.

@BashProductions123 you will be fine! i didnt know much when we got our first one but found out quickly about desexing females within a year ! if anything you must have deep pockets if you want a few! we have 3 and so far have spent about 1500 australian dollars kitting them out with cages,bedding and desexing bills! now the two girls are desexed we just need to desex our boy in a few months and we are pretty much done! also is good to vaccinate them
