I believe Pakistan trains have a lot to learn from the way the Indian trains are managed. Being a son of an Indian Army officer, i did travel a lot by Indian trains, and in all classes, from First Class AC to unreserved. Over time, Indian Trains have changed so much. In my opinion, i would definetly say, Indian Trains are BETTER and EFFICIENT then most of the Pakistan Trains. Its a pity, how people in Pakistan really have to bear such trains. Its a fact that India has the most dangerous roads in the world reported by Al Jazeera in August 2009 and every day in Mumbai dozens of people are killed on the train tracks and by overcrowding on the trains as shown on a recent BBC documentary about the Mumbai railways. Why bring the Indo-Pak thing into it? Why not let's compare ourselves with the French Electric? Would you like our Shatabdi at 155 kmph be compared to the "slow" TGV at around 300 kmph? The IR is one of the few institutions that makes me very proud to be an Indian. let's just keep the Pakis out of it.

Its a fact that India has the most dangerous roads in the world reported by Al Jazeera in August 2009 and every day in Mumbai dozens of people are killed on the train tracks and by overcrowding on the trains as shown on a recent BBC documentary about the Mumbai railways. So maybe you should get a new traffic system in place or then again reduce your population ;)

yes, u r right. I remember railway minister of pakistan saying that when you ride a train, pray for your safe arrival. It is not just trains, I think whole system of india is better than pakistan. in pakistan, only army is responsible for the whole mess.

they can create their own facilities or can procure them from india as both are on broad gauge system, where as china is on standard gauge

Seriously I am a Bangladeshi and I traveled by Rajdhani Express from Calcutta to Madras and I must say that train is like a rocket. Sooo Fast. I would wake up scared to death in the middle of the night because it felt like its tearing through big buildings. and the service was topnotch and the food was scrumptious.

It is ADtranz loco from GE. . . It is 3000HP , not considered very heavy, but for sure have very good technical configuration.

This is not Tezgaam. That train has only two AC coaches while this one had five. Most probably it was Karakorum, Khi Exp or Buraq express
