  • @danicjohara thx :)

  • Just want to say, I absolutely love the quality of this compared to your others. I can actually see what you're doing now! Maybe a higher angle and pointed down a bit more would let you see everything. ANyways, great sounds on this one! I love how you still use the hi-pass filter that's characteristic of your sound. Great job!

  • @Argiflex thanks a lot :) that's why i now use 4 cameras

  • Very cool! There are certain sounds that are reminiscent of Infected Mushroom

  • thanks :)

  • i think you refer to the nord micro modular formant filtered sounds, which i know IM have used extensively before

  • Still an Akai S5000/6000, Yamaha A3000/4000 or Roland S760 is a pretty good investment IMO. What would you do with a 8GB of memory I really don't know. I used to do whole songs with as much as 8MB. :) learn synthesis and learn sampling first.

  • i will avoid being rude now, but if you ask why 8 GB, you should look into modern instruments, some sample set are gigs in size for pianos and strings

just an acapella in raw wav will use 60-70 MB, times what, 40-50 that i need to carry all the time, 8 GB is just fine to allow me to also have loops and stuff loaded without worrying about missing sample space for the vocals, seriously, maybe to sample a moog lead you can do with 8MB, but a full song is stil a full song, no matter how you spiceit

  • i alos used to live fine with 8 mb when 8 mb was costing 600$, nw tha 600$ buys you about 16 GB of ram, i really don't get why they still cheap on the memory (biggest ive seen is MPC maed at 1 GB, still pretty low to sample whole a capellas+loops+drum hits(maybe 1-2 songs at a time it's ok, but i play live, not in a studio, i need every sample available at any second, its the basis of my live act, i can play any song at any moment in a set

  • i have always thought about using the KP3 as a midi controller. You should try that sometime! I dont have one. i think you can edit the faders and stuff in the KP3 editor software and set the KP3 to "EXT CTRL" mode.

  • i do a lot in the studio, bu t live with hardware, it's not really useable cause the KP effect stop working while in midi control

  • i know,

that is the downside to it.

so keep using your existing controller. but it does seem like it would be a great visual effect!

  • i might get a lemur instead, way more visual, way more useful than the KP3 midi control(and buying another kp3 just to control something(which BTW i don't need, i only buy gear with knobs to avoid having to use a multi purpose controller)

  • good point.

i might get a KP3 or an EMX to go with my other synths. i got myself a Kaossilator today. neet thing it is. but my currently use an old CD player to add vocals and effects (odd huh?). a lemur is very visual! seems like it would sort-of expensive though.

  • really expensive, stil waiting for behringer to clone it lol

kaossilator and KP3 is the best portable mix there is IMOHO, did a lot of shows with those 2 and i was always appreciated (and always totally diferent)

  • im also trying to find a way to integrate long vocal phrases without using ableton live, but noonne makes a real sampler anymore (i expected a sampler with 8 GB of ram would be pretty current by 2010..., how wrong was I (in 1999 with my first electro live act, mc 505, micro modular and EF 303(later)))

  • the only sampler that i can find that can come even close to doing that is the Akai MPC 1000 or 2500. i have seen stuff 8-bit Weapon uses to get vocals, but i comes out so computerized electronic somewhat granulated sound because i dont think it is actually recorded, its just a text-to-speech type thing.

  • as far as kaoss go, ill get an entrancer and a projector, feeding the av out of my recording camera to the kaoss and projecting it on me (and my work-in-progress all white floor and backdrop) efected, so the recorded movie will show me playing with m eplaying(effected) in the background, will look pretty sweet i think, and really add to the visual aspect, allowing people to kind of se what im doing

  • NOT BAD aT aLL!!!

  • THanKS a LoT

  • nice one MFM again!!

sure beats my set up of emx1, ea-1, kp3, crumar bit one, yamaha synth and various effects.

  • thanks a lot, no setup is too small or to be beaten

  • we use what we have and make the best out of it

  • Insane!

  • thnaks a lot :)
