I'm a big admirer of his work, and of course he's the Master, but I'd really like to sculpt the Tickling Lady some day in Carrara marble in full life-size.
Being a sketch/painter (artist) and being new to clay sculpting, this video by far has been the most helpful that I have viewed! Thanks. You are awesome.
i like this video! I like your work! everything! how do you make this perfect? i want to learn a lot of things, i want to be a good artist like you in the future. please tell me
Thanks for your compliment, glad you like my work. :)
As for becoming a good artist: practise, practise, practise.Try to draw and to sketch as much and often as possible to train your eye. If you're not happy with the result, try again. Look at the work of the masters for inspiration. And - most important - love what you're doing.
Thanks for your interest, Kirants. Wet clay doesn't have enough stability to keep the form without armature. Usually it's done first, before starting, but in this case I wanted to test out the position of her upper body first. Am sure you can appreciate all the anatomical details after your experience with your own composition. :D
Thanks, Maryanne, glad you like it. I didn't stop the time, but I guess I had to work at least 10 days on it, most time on the details of course, and it's not finished yet. But sculpting it in marble in full life-size will take a lot longer. ;-)

nice video. I hadn't known until now that sculptures use skeleton re-inforcements inside.
