  • Roflmao!! What the Hell did I just watch?!

  • Terry Jones is worryingly good at the last bit

  • whats the song? at the end called?

  • I know the second song, but what's the name of the first song, the one starting at 0:47?

  • @FalconUser it's colonel bogey march..what is the second song, the one he strips to?

  • I really love the silent comedy they used on this! Terry is brilliant! It´s a man´s life to be a comedian! (a good one)

  • hilarious

    canned laughs are useless

  • 16 people are afraid of undressing in public...

  • it reminds me of Charlie Chaplin

  • In it's day, this was hilarious! Today, it is a classic. Wish Television continued this creativity. I used to laugh in those days. Now I just find things amusing...

  • Why to the producers of the theatre let him do that?

  • whats the song at 3:25 called???

  • @VinMan182 "The Stripper"

  • This is SO Buster Keaton, it's awesome. Even the hat. Luv it.

  • Ah... comedic genius! Is it just me, or is Terry Jones really good at the end bit ;)

  • I know your pain you strangely dressed man ):

  • You can leave your hat on... ;D

  • great homage to Chaplin

  • I find it that the best Monty Python sketches are the ones without words.

  • @NeptuneMS385 Most of the wordless ones are written by and starring Terry J - 'silent' comedy and mime are his strongest points. :)

  • Ha, I was watching TV when I flipped to Monty Python, and the 3:40 bit came on. I was like O_o

  • this one was pretty good...but the holy grail still remains the funniest

  • Poor guy! You should be able to undress in public.

  • was hoping it was a woman...

  • Oh wow, I'm so glad I found this. I havn't laughed like this in months. Terrible shame, though, that this show is long gone.

  • omg i think thats Bournemouth- i was on that stage i think- that makes me so proud? lol

  • unusual mp sketch, its pure benny hill style

  • Chaplin would be proud.

  • Its a pigs li...I mean its a mans life!

  • i want a boyfriend like that

  • @acerflots I was just thinking the exact same thing! Someone with a real sense of humor~

  • Reminds me of the mr Bean episode where he tries to undress at a beach xD

  • BRIGHTONNN!!

  • He really wanted to get undressed...

  • Everytime I get changed in a dressing room, I think of this. (:

  • OH MY GOSH YEEEEEEEEEEEES!! Thak you thank you, thank you!! I've been looking for this one for years. Tgabks a ton for sharing!

  • i am starting the pole shift survival group.

let me know if u r interested.

  • Terry Jones is just pure, raw, masculine sexuality! Rawr!

  • Agreed!

  • These sketches never get old...I remember seeing this in college over 35 years ago, and they are just as funny now as the original viewing. No one will ever match the Pythons.

  • Wonderful.I grew up in London and when we went to the coast I remember the deck chair attendent. This sketch is just so bloody funny.I love Python.British comedy at its best.

  • monty python are legends, i urge everyone to watch either the holy grail or the life of brian, two hillarious movies. sorry for my spelling if theres any mistakes, had a few beers tonight :P

  • AAAAHHH!!! I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!! OMG! I swear to god I saw: "It's a man's life taking your clothes off in public" underwear poster add in New Jersey!

  • i just look up stripper song and the tune come up.

  • "The Stripper" by David Rose.

  • Funny you ask, because it's called "The Stripper" hahaha.

  • In the Army in the 70's we called it "Re-Up" as in re-enlist.

"Re-up and buy a brand new car"

"Re-up and show what a fool you are!

    etc..... Marching song....

  • in school, i showed this to my pals ---who have absolutely no idea of english homour--- and they loved it. every single of them. pythons are marvelous.

  • This is hilarious, I wish there were still shows like this today....

  • Unfortunately, imagination doesn't seem to exist in todays comedy. Well, no, thats a bit harsh. Perhaps what i mean is that it has gone in a direction that is too influenced by pop culture.

  • You should see the Philippines their way of funny is making fun of people who are different.

  • Actually the FFC no longer allows it in the US. Any show that is original or imaginative gets canceled before most people even see them. They cancel the good shows and put shit in their place to keep the competition scale low and keep hack humor on top in this country. At least that's what's happening in the US.

  • Don't mean to be rude, I would just like to point out it's FCC not FFC. It's alright though, I thought one sign said Phillips 99 instead of Phillips 66

  • @panty3pirate Ah, typo.

  • @hihihippl Yeah I do (but besides FOTC and Curb Your Enthusiasm and Extras everything is shock value crap) but I'm talking more along the lines of Arrested Development.

  • @princesstamika You dont like Arrested Development? or you do?

  • @hihihippl I LOVE it. And I'm pissed at FOX and the American machine of anti-free thought for taking it off (not promoting it). I'm going to get a little off topic, now:

Speaking of censorship I'm watching a Smothers Brothers documentary and if any American fans of MPFC think America only had crappy shows contemporary to MPFC they should check out the political commentary of the late 60s TV show The Smothers Brothers. Unbelievable. I didn't know American TV had such a rich free thought history.

  • Unfortunatly, genius TV is long-gone.

  • @watersspark The closest sketch comedy show to Monty Python today is the Whitest Kids you Know, and they directly homage Monty Python

  • @watersspark Try the Whitest Kids U' Know.

  • HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love Monty Python...(Flying Circus-not allowed to see the movies. :( ) great!

  • movies are great too...

  • I can imagine Terry's new baby watching this for some reason. "Mummy, why is Daddy taking his clothes off?" LOL!

  • eeeeh, dont think the babys born yet, is it?

  • No, it won't be for a long time. But I can still imagine it lol.

  • imagine this guy working with atkinson

  • Terry and Rowan would be unstoppable

  • Out of every sketch Python has ever done this is my favourite by a mile. So funny :')

  • Managed to be good even without any dialogue.

  • I sense a genuine Chaplin influence....Or is it just a way of teasing "chaplinesque" humor? Either way, it's absolutely lovely.

  • I think this is actually a parody on a Chaplin scene.

  • Hahahaha a genuine laugh-out-loud sketch! :))

  • He must've had so much fun with this sketch. 3:38 is hilarious. XD

  • the song is "the stripper" by david rose. released in 1960, I believe.

  • does anyone know the name of that song that plays while he's stripping? I've been going nuts trying to find it

  • i love this sketch. he starts out so prudish and trapped by social conventions, but in the end he transcends his fears and insecurities and turns his troubles into something creative. a great message for us all. plus it's funny

  • I personally have difficulties finding morals in Monty Python...

  • which proves that they've succeeded in they're quest for awesome, in your face humor lol

  • @bobxyzp: I think you're reading a bit too much into this.

  • @bobxyzp

Yeah, it says "If you're afraid of stripping, do it on a stage!"

    xD

  • A homage to the silent film era

  • It's the Colonel Bogey on the organ that really completes this piece of art.

  • I love that ladies hairdo in the middle of the audience at the end! LOL!

  • I was laughing so hard at this sketch! Especially the ending. I want to learn how to take off my socks like that!

  • i do this in my room, its a lot of fun, cuz i keep imagining terry j. doing it..

  • Monty Python is the reason I'm proud to be British. Before I go into them, I desperately wanted to be American or Australian. You USA-ies and Aussies have brilliant accents!

  • Want to trade accents? I'm up for it!

  • OH! I'll trade accents!!

  • Me too, I'm happy that there's actually someone who doesn't hate us Americans.

  • This is one of my favourite sketches. I cheered when he finally got his clothes off! Does this remind you of Mr Bean, when he's trying to put on his trunks but there's a man watching him who ends up being blind?

  • OH ! I know that episode.... its hilarious, but i love this one more//

Rowan Atkinson has worked with memebers of Monty python b4, you know!

  • Seriously?! That's so cool!

  • Yep... i dont knw exactly when, but there are some videos of them on youtube..

  • which one is it where Graham Chapman is giving a speech while undressing in the same way as this guy? I saw it once in the same episode as this sketch and I almost died laughing.

    :D~

  • LOL

  • i request the stupidest man in the world one where he has to go through an obstacle course, it was hilarious and i haven't seen it since i was 8

  • Sketch name 'Upper class twit of the year'. Yeah, I'll second(/third) that request, absolutely brilliant! favourite sketch.

  • the doorman who also gets undressed is graham chapman- you can tell becuse he has very skinny legs

  • that was the most unsexy thing i ever saw hehe. god bless the pythons. wait...what happens when he wants to get dressed again? and why oh why was he so desperate to get nakes anyway?!?!?!?!? XD

  • I think hewas trying to change into his swim-suit...

  • @ThinkHappyThoughts92 They play the song in reverse and he puts everything on in opposite order?!

  • hahahaa

  • ah british humour was at its best then...

  • It's so funny how he just goes with it at the end!

  • What is Gilliam's thing with stripping? xD

  • this is jones dude

  • lmfao, this is great

  • I wonder why he didn't just use his own towel to hide himself.

  • He tried that. A couple of girls pulled it off. =D

  • naw, that was because it was that girl's towel, I think...his towel had stripes on it. :P

  • lol haha this its great!

  • I nearly died. Died of laughter.

  • Me too!
