  • Thank you posting this- I love adam and so sad he had to go through that hell

  • "i think it brought the best out in me" LOL <3

  • I cannot possibly be alone in wondering why the punters in that pub who mocked Adam on that fateful day aren't called out for their boorish ways! Bullies are too common - in EVERY sense of the word - and far too often escape culpability when their antics push a fragile person past the brink.

  • i'm not sure but mclaren comes across as a bit of a twat to me. love the ants though

  • those songs are fucking rocking still today, dog eat dog, kings of the wild fronteir etc, they deserve more appreciation, one of the greatest english bands of all time

  • hang in there Adam!

  • lol! mclaren organised a mutiny! aargh me hearties!!!!

  • Adam Ant's (and Marco Pirroni's) music has proved to be extremely influential. Without him, the 'Big Music' of the U2 and the Waterboys would not exist. Indeed, Kings of the Wild Frontier, Antmusic, Stand and Deliver seem otherworldly and not of their time; music for the ages. I don't think it was something that even the likes of Malcolm McLaren could foresee. 100 years from this day, people will be listening to Antmusic whereas McLaren will be a footnote in the Sex Pistol's Biography.

  • U2 were formed and gigging around the same same time. How can they have influenced them? Not saying that the punk scene didn't as u2 were very raw in their early days. I saw U2 in their very erarly days around the same time as 'Dirk wears white sox'. Beats me how they wouldn't have existed in your eyes

  • Being contemporaries does negate from influence. Look at The Beatles and The Stones -- both contemporaries, but The Beatles were obviously influencing The Stones. Same could be said of Charlie Parker. Mozart. The Stone Roses. You get the picture. All I am saying is that Adam Ant was very influential. He was a precursor to the Big Music, even while they were all breathing the same air. There is no argument here, just listen to the music...and ye shall hear.

  • OMG!!! Is that where he actually stayed?! Looks haunting!

  • Up yours Malcom but I do love the song Submarines.

  • I LOVE the old songs/image!

  • all the shit talking about malcolm, but bow wow wow was a cool group.

  • "Plastic Surgery" -- except for the greying hair and male-pattern balding, Adam's face still looks handsome and youthful. Does anyone know if he's had "work"?

  • I would say so - his face looks a little 'too' good if you get what i mean :)

Attractive man, but has had a little touch up I'd say

  • @JolieJane If you read his autobiography you would know he hasn't :) this was also down about 2003 if you see now he has more wrinkles :/

  • Malcolm is a tool. And Adam's story ain't over yet folks!!!

    More to come...

  • Agree McLaren takes plaudits for things he never did. ie The Pistols outburst on Tv etc

  • Thanks for putting this on...all 8 parts! very important for people to know about! Stay in good health, Adam!

  • He went down like a pop star douche, only Adam was actually worth the fame he once carried. It wasn't like the New Kids where they can tell themselves that justice wins in the end and that they never deserved the success they received. Adam was a genius with cheesy levels of conception. It worked for Freddie Mercury, but not for Adam, speaking of the promotion of personal image of an over the top demi-god.
